In and out of the Alliances, a new evil is on the rise--an evil whose attacks forced the postponement of the Joint Alliances Conclave nearly a year earlier.
During the attacks, some of those who fought the evil reported things that couldn't be explained--things that were considered myths--until now.
Sorcery. Necromancy. The wielding of power never seen before. The target? Every world, in or out of the Alliances.
The best hope to combat the evil? A blind man, who sees everything.

Connie Suttle lives in Oklahoma with her husband and three cats.
Connie holds an MFA in Fine Art (film production and animation) and taught courses at the university level before moving on to bookstore management. Nowadays, if she isn't writing or editing, she's dreaming up her next book.
Connie Suttle is one of my favorite writers. Her universe, where all her books take place, is so vast and complex it is sometimes beyond our normal scope. Her main characters are many and so varied its mind boggling. Her technology is as crazy as its get and lacks explanations. It's just is. But her writing is amazing in its concise form, the multiple POVs is well written and flowing almost seamlessly . The multi mates, no jealousy, relationship may be perhaps, every woman dream, but hard to accept. Overall, after reading all her forty plus books, each one in a a day or two, I must admit that this is one of the best mix of paranormals, sci-fi saga ever. I recommend to start from the first book, blood wager, and experience the development of this crazy wonderful universe and amazing stories. The current books, Blackwing pirates, and the main character Randl, a blind man who sees all, his one of her best heroes and is a well written and exciting addition.
Excellent story, as usual. Every time that I finish a Connie Suttle book I have an almost overwhelming desire to start at the beginning. Not the beginning of the just finished book but the very beginning, Blood Wager. This is a world and people that I have come to really like.
I decided to read MindSighted and MindMage again before starting MindRogue. I had totally forgotten about the very brief talk that Zaria had with Sabrina. I don't like Sabrina and who she was makes perfect sense. I do hope that she uses this chance wisely.
I, somehow, missed that there will be a forthcoming book in the Blood Destiny series. Blood Recall. I will definitely be watching for more information on this.
Okay Sabrina is still an idiot, even more so now, but knowing who she was in a previous life.... Yeah didn't like that character much either! Here is to hoping she straightens the heck up this time around. Which reminds me of one of the things I adore about CS books. A character can die, but they can also show up somewhere down the road. I loved having confirmation as to who someone used to be. I really enjoy this plot line with the Prophet, anyone else have a good idea as to who he is also? It is all new, but not at the same time. I like how CS has shifted characters around in time and in places to further this story along. Oh and Zaria is still awesome...
Loved book 2 in the BlackWing Pirates series! This book had a lot of surprise's and I'm sure a few I didn't catch. We are finding out more of what Randl can do. Can't wait for the next book to find out more.
Connie Suttle continues to delight and amaze with stories that envelope you. You are transported by the gifted storyteller onto starships populated by vampires, werewolves, angels and demons. The characters are so sharply defined that you would swear she was describing real people. Must read all her series!
Another brilliant edition to an on going saga. I love that everyone is still around from the other series. Although the characters having centre stage in this set are just as good as the other ones. I'm over the moon with the introduction of Vik Roth (no spoilers, but yay to Zaria and Quin) and also finding out who Sabrina had been in a previous life. Fingers crossed she stays the new and improved. Even though the name wasn't mentioned you know who she was when it was told to her. Hopefully it won't be too far into 2017 before the final is available. No pressure Connie. Enjoy this holiday period.
Connie suttle has created an awesome world filled with characters I love. The blackwing pirates series is interesting since we are discovering Randl has power that is unheard of by even gods and he is only just discovering what he can do. I love how she manages to combine mystery, crime, space, gods and fantasy all in one.
As Randl becomes more comfortable with his power, Kooper relies on him more. Love that David is fast friends with Vic and Randl. I really like seeing Lissa’s mates and Winkler being a good father. I still remember his antics from the first Blood series. The prophet is so evil and always one step ahead.
The return of the lost son and a more likeable character as well. The banter between Vik and David is hilarious. The new and motley crew for XIII bode well for the next instalment.
