Most kids of the target audience will like this leveled reader more than I do. I just think Wart needs to stop eating all the time & therefore attract fewer seagulls.
Might be fun for discussion in a group or classroom, though. What does make for the best vacation, when one is tired of working?
An entertaining and engaging "I Can Read" book, where Wizard, and his side kick, Wart, decide to take a vacation from wizarding work. When Wizard conjures up a few spells at the beach to make seagulls disappear, the result is much worse than the seagulls. New readers will love the richly-colored watercolors and silly hijinks of the hapless duo, as well as the accessible language and format.
