The Finding Nemo Manga, as others in the PopTokyo series, follows the story of the movie quite strict, so it is more of a re-watch than an addition to the movie. For me, it was a nice way to brush up Finding Nemo in time for Finding Dory, the sequel.
At the start there is some extra information on the different characters, but otherwise, expect the movie is manga-form, the art style also resembles that of the movie.
Nice for fans of Finding Nemo and Pixar!

'Pixar Manga's Collection: Finding Nemo' by Ryuichi Hoshino is a really nice adaptation of the Pixar movie.
Marlin is an overprotective father with a son named Nemo. Nemo goes off to school, and ends up getting captured and put in a fish tank in a dentist's office. Marlin will stop at nothing to find his son, and his journey will teach him a few things while he's at it. He's joined by short termed memory Dory and meets memorable characters along the way.
The manga starts with a description of the characters as well as the type of fish that they are. The fish descriptions were a really nice addition to this book. The artwork is very good. The art looks more like the Disney art than a traditional manga, but you read the book the same way. This would be a fun way to introduce manga to young readers, and it's a faithful retelling of the story.

I love the new direction Disney/Pixar is going with their manga books.! I have never seen the Finding Nemo movie, but I definitely enjoyed this Manga book and from what my Husband says it's just like the movie!
Finding Nemo is about a fish named Marlin who is a father to his son Nemo. Nemo gets taken by a diver to a fish tank and Marlin, with the help of a fish named Dory, goes on an adventure of the ocean to go find his son.
I absolutely enjoyed this book.

ADORABLE!
I thought this was a short picture book, but it turns out to be a full length Manga comic. Totally cute. I loved all the little fish characters, and Nemo just got more and more adorable as the story went along. Dory was my close second as a favorite. Totally lovable! 🥰

Overall, a cute rendition of the great movie Finding Nemo. The art is stylized in an interesting fashion and the story is simplified. Still a good little read, for a movie manga.

Dieses Mal hab ich mir Nemo als Manga ausgesucht. Nemo mag ich auch als Film ☺️ Auch wenn es schon länger her ist, dass ich ihn gesehen habe, war vieles noch da. Stört mich aber bei den Mangas nicht, da ich ja noch immer damit was lerne 😁

What a great retelling of the Disney story Finding Nemo. I loved that they introduced the characters and explained about them before beginning the story. The illustrations were based on the Disney movie, not a traditional Manga illustrations, but the book was written in the Manga style (reading from the back). Children will enjoy this story, and if they never saw the original movie, this will give them an introduction to the characters before they go and watch the sequel "Finding Dory".

The illustrations are wonderful but unfortunately, they are in black and white. They could have been spectacular with colour added to them. The book is still great with the illustrations in B & W.

Review: This is a comic rendition of the Finding Nemo Movie. The comic follows along with the movie itself. Of course some things have been cut out to make it fit into comic book form, but all of the important parts are still there.
The colors in this book were very bright and appealing for the age level this is intended for. I loved how much detail was put into this comic book. I also liked that in the beginning they introduce you to all of the characters in the book and let you know what type of animal/fish they are.
This is a very simple story for early readers. I recommend this book to fans of Disney Pixar and to those parents who may have a reluctant reader.

This is practically a scene by scene exact retelling of the movie of the same name. Some of the emotional or philosophical "talks" that happen have been skipped over but all the action and plot is present. Kids who love the movie will enjoy being able to read this on their own. The humour is present and mostly works. My favourite parts of the movie are the whale talk and the "mine, mine!" scenes. Dory talking whale-ish just didn't come across the same in the text, even when you are applying the voice in your head, on the other hand, they played up the "mine,mine!" bit and it worked very well especially with my mind applying the voice. That turned out to be the best part of the book for me. Definitely recommended for kids about ten and younger.

I love that the images look so much like the Disney characters we know and love. But it's also great that there's some extra info for the kids – a fish reference guide, the tank gang and the undersea classroom.
Kids of all ages will undoubtedly love the way the story is told, staying faithful to the film and offering a visual experience that can help them read a long.
There wasn't anything about it I didn't like. And I, more than once, found myself using the characters voices while reading, which is no bad thing.

Eppure a me piacciono queste cose... Pian piano vorrei riuscire a mettere le mani su tutti i volumetti Disney manga che sono usciti in Italia. Cu le calme!
Dopo Lilo & Stitch ecco Nemo. Diciamo che il film ha il vantaggio di avere scenografia mozzafiato che non possono essere riprodotte su carta, però l'autore fa un bel lavoro con tutti gli animali.
La storia è quella del film, non si può dire nulla.
Un tratto forse un po' più sottile avrebbe aiutato, secondo me.

Just what you'd expect – a very literal adaptation of the movie to manga, which of course adds nothing. The action scenes aren't exactly attractive, and there are problems with scale at the beginning so you can't tell dad from Nemo when they're not sharing the frame. Just watch the film instead – not that it's that brilliant.

I am a big fan of everything Disney. This manga is the story of Finding Nemo in a comic form. I found it lovely to relive the story in this way again. The manga is in Black and White and I would have loved some color though.

Super cute!! Definitely did a great job capturing and telling the story of FINDING NEMO. :D I think it's perfect for any fans of FINDING NEMO who like to see their favourite stories adapted in new ways!

Good synopsis to catch up before Finding Dory comes out. Even if you still remember it all, it's a great story illustrated beautifully!
