A panda cub's growth and development from birth to life on his own without his mother. Reads like a storybook with an additional fact on each page and more fun facts and a glossary at the end. The bright colorful illustrations make this a fun read-aloud for younger panda lovers, or also a nice read for independent readers seeking knowledge.

We checked this book out from the library because my 6 yr old loves pandas. It is a board book, and maybe a bit young for him to have read to him, but it was great for building his confidence as a reader.

More didactic than I expected it to be, but the illustrations are graphic and lovely, and it was interesting and informative.
