I really enjoyed this first in a series of Elizabethan Mysteries. Set in the time period of Queen Elizabeth of England, daughter of Henry the VIII. This is a magical tale of a troop of actors, where one of their own is accused of an act of theft while entertaining the Lords and Ladies of Bowford Manor. As the story unfolds the injustice is so outrageous that the youngest member of the company is forced to prove their innocence and find the true culprits. Loved it and recommend it.
The journey of Ben Button as he works to save his friend with the help of those around him and finding a hidden truth that could result in death was very interesting to read and enjoyable. Especially as he watch Ben Button grow and learn about him and those around him.
