Benjamin Franklin: Inventor, Statesman, and Patriot

Rate this book
A charming bilingual edition (English and traditional characters) of a timeless tale, in which one of the founding fathers of the United States of America comes to full and colorful life. This text is wonderful for intermediate and advanced Chinese students of English, as well as for English speakers studying Chinese who wish to ground their reading study in familiar material. This edition includes the original line drawings and color illustrations by William Jacobson.

A great introduction to Benjamin Franklin for younger readers, covers his early life as an apprentice printer, his business success, his scientific pursuits, and his eventual move into politics during the Revolution.

It's a quick read, but covers the full length of Franklin's life. Definitely a great beginner's look at the man. This was a library sale grab for my Little Free Library, so hopefully some young reader will discover how interesting Ben Franklin was.

Many interesting happenings of Ben, lots I didn’t know. He was really a good person at the start of our country, someone we needed to set a good foundation for success.

Short but full of intriguing information about Benjamin Franklin. Quite and incredible historical figure he was. The book is suitable for both adults and children old enough to read on their own.
