The Encyclopedia of Secret Knowledge

Rate this book
Intriguing yet disturbing, the occult arts have always held a unique fascination. In our quest for knowledge we have looked beyond the familiar everyday world of the material realm to the hidden secret world controlled by the living forces of the spirit. In this book, Charles Walker looks at the principal branches of the occult, which can be divided into four main areas: the occult world - which looks at occultism in terms of world systems and general philosophies; witchcraft; magic and divination. For easy use, an extensive key-word index and system of cross-referencing enable the reader to find summaries and definitions.

I have to confess that I mostly skim read this book as it didn't totally hold my interest. I did read the first couple of chapters but they were a bit too text booky so then I only read the sections that interested me. I learned from this that I have absolutely no interest in alchemy!
