descriptionI am not overly crazy about this cover. The guy is NOTHING like how I pictured Ryan, and again the title of the book should be the most prominent text on the cover. The author's name a tagline is too big and having it placed in the middle draws the eye to there instead of to the title where it should be drawn to.description

description I enjoyed this one a lot more than I did book one. The pacing was better. The plot had more depth. The characters were more developed. Ryan wasn't a creeper like Oz. Well, he wasn't until he unveiled his bedroom wallpapered with photos of Paige from over the years. That seemed a bit Datelineish but what the hell we can't all be perfect. Paige had much more personality and brains than Mallory.

description

My only complaint is that I wish we would have gotten more angst after Paige found out Ryans secret. That is just a personal preference I enjoy a book more when things are not forgiven in five minutes flat. To that end, I also thought the whole thing with her father was wrapped up a tad bit too quickly, and it dragged a bit after that. The epilogues were cute, though.

Overall though I enjoyed this one so two thumbs up from yours truly.description

For some reason this book felt a little different than the first in the series and all other AR stories for that matter. It definitely offered the characters a lot more room to develop with it being a full length novel and the pacing was slowed in some ways I haven't seen before from the writing duo.

Yes, we still get the obsessed alpha hero with Ryan but it felt somewhat dialed back in intensity. It might sound crazy because this dude WAS really obsessed as evidenced by something uncovered later in the story but until that point, it seemed he was hiding his crazy well. lol

I liked that Paige was serious about some things but playful about all things Captain. She loved to rile him up but also knew when to turn it off. She had her beliefs and mission and she stuck to her convictions. She was determined yet vulnerable.

I enjoyed getting my full AR fix and the winning formula continues to hit the spot. Safety: AR reads are 100% safe :-p

PICK IT UP LATER, MAYBE?

Stopped at 23%

I've been trying to read this book for days and I'm just bored with it.
Nothing wrong with the book it's just that I found their reasons for not being together LAME!

And I give up!
description

~She thinks she is damaged because she wants her father dead after watching her father kill her mother.

~And he is being protective of her because of his dark past.

End results; they both think they are too damaged for each other.

So reasons I stopped here are as follows:

1- There was drama for nothing IMO,

2- I hate being bored when I'm reading,

3- I didn't feel the connection to the story,

4- I fell asleep reading this book 3 times now,

5- I wanted smut and I got bored!

Now, don't hate me all at once guys
description
as I will no doubt finish this book at some point (I bought the book), but I have loads of other great hot books that are waiting for me in my e-reader and I need to read something that I don't have to work to read and that keeps my attention.

Right now, I need more fantasy escapism than this book has provided me up to now.

Others, please enjoy and it's a number one best seller so my review means little here.

Continued success to these two ladies and I will stick to their novellas from now on. Their full length books are not really working for me personally.

Enjoy and happy reading all :)) xoxo

Goodnight am I behind on posting reviews. I’m going to keep this short and sweet.

Dear Alexa Riley:

Yeah, I think it’s probably time we break up. Since you have eleventy trillion superfans I’m sure you won’t even notice. The problem here is 100% mine. I mean, I KNOW AR is the go-to-gal for OTT, instalovin’, “breeding” (*shudder*) good times. Why in Jeebus’ name did I think this would have a plot????? But that’s exactly what I thought after meeting Ryan and Paige in Everything for Her. This had soooooo much potential.

1. They both kick ass (literally) for a living.
2. They hate each other.
3. Paige and her bestie have nicknamed Ryan “Captain” because he looks like Captain America and he’s the good guy.
4. She wants to make with the stabby on behalf of her boss (because reasons that make sense even, but I don’t want to do spoilsies here).
5. He’s an alpha – both at work and in the bedroom.

Alllllllll of the above should have equated this . . . . .

Assuming it didn’t follow the standard AR formula – which, if you aren’t familiar, goes a lil’ summin’ like . . . .

1. Virgin.
2. Instalove.
3. Bang bang choo choo train light me up I’ll do my thang.
4. Two pages worth of story.
5. HEA (generally with bonus miracle baby).

I don’t know what magic Kool-Aid I drank that had me thinking this would be different, but it wasn’t. Oh well, on to the next. Thanks porny librarian for always having my back and saving me dollahs, yo!

I am going to be really quick with this review, because sincerely I didn't like the book at all.. This is my second story from Alexa Riley and if I thought Everything for Her was pushed to a certain limit, this one was over the top pushed and exaggerated..

His Alone tells the story of Ryan and Paige. Ryan is Miles, Paige's brother, chief of security and the person he trusts most. At the end of Everything for Her we figure out that Ryan has been working in secret for Paige's and Milles father, who happens to be their enemy. I knew there has to be an explanation to this, because I could see Ryan in a lot of situations, but not as a traitor. He has been fighting with his love for Paige for years and his only goal was to protect her from her enemies, as her father. He kept aside everything he ever felt for her and only focused on keeping her safe. He wanted to come clean in a certain moment when he was convinced that Paige will understand his motives for keeping the truth from her and they could finally be together without any secrets.

Paige on the other hand, also had a hidden agenda. She was after her father, wanting him dead for what he did to her mother. Now that Miles had Mallory, he step aside in this revenge plans, and considered she was the only one who can avenge her. This plans will afect their relationship and will keep Paige at a safe distance from Ryan, because from her point of view, once he will discover her true intentions, he will no longer love her. Of course their attraction will be off the charts and they will give in to their feelings.

From this point on, a huge and silly drama will occur, that I have to warn you was not of my liking. I wanted to read this book to see if Alexa Riley will continue with the pushed style.. I mean, everything was not realistic, and everything was rushed. I know Ryan loved Paige for years and couldn't wait for a lot of things, but it didn't feel ok to me. The situation in which the characters were put didn't made me feel anything, I just smiled here and then, but they didn't resonate with me. Everything seemed artificial and I just waited to something noticeable to happen, but it didn't. At the end of the book, I was like : '' That's it??'' and I don't like addressing that question often.

The romantic/ sex scenes were average, without that hot element that makes your body be aware of them.. I just read them, but neah, nothing happened.. In the end let's just say that this book was a sex/revenge story without any important things going on. And oh, if there was something important happening that marked the characters, it was easily thrown aside and never talked about it anymore....

Not even comparing Ryan to Captain America didn't do a thing for me, and believe me, I have it huge for Chris Evans:)

2 stars:(

Oh Captain, My Captain!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎧🎧🎧🎧
Romance: 🖤💜🤎💚💛
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📙📕📗📘
World building: 🌎🌏🌍🌍🌍
Character development: 😍😕🙃☺️

The heroine: Paige Turner - graduated from Yale, best friend to Mallory and half-sister to Oz (Miles Osbourne) from the previous book. She hooked up with her brother for a shared objective of Revenge on their father. Though Oz is done with it after ruining his father’s business. Paige is not done, because she saw her father kill her mother among other things and she knows that those businesses were only the legit ones, not all of her fathers’ businesses

The Hero(es): Ryan Justice (a.k.a. Captain) - he is the head of security at Osborne and he is Paige’s boss as well. He tells Paige that he fell in love with her the first time he saw her. Though he has secrets and possibly an agenda.

The story: Captain has had feelings for Paige for quite a while. She has been holding him at arms length like she does with all men. Though she is attracted to Ryan she sees him as “Captain America”, such a clean cut hero type and all around good guy. Paige thinks she is not good enough for Ryan because of the way she grew up.

The love story is scorchingly hot. I liked the back story as well and how Captain is seen as such a good guy when he is holding on to some deep secrets. Captain is a big guy with an all American look, he got tattoo’s to make him look a bit more edgy. Turns out he was a bit of a stalker like Miles in book one.

4 CAPTAIN Stars!!!

Now I know mostly everyone has super high expectations for Paige & Ryan's story... I know I was based on the glimpses we saw of them in book 1. I was so fricken' excited, especially when I saw this line in the prologue of this book...

"She thinks Miles was obsessed. She has no idea what obsession is."

MORE OBSESSED THAN MILES?! Sign me up!

However after completing the book, unfortunately our Captain did not back up this claim for me. I thought Miles was much more obsessed than Ryan. Ryan had more reservations and had to stay away for so many reasons that I just didn't feel it as much.

Nonetheless, this was still a great story. And I am loving AR's full length novels.

The story follows Paige and Ryan's relationship working together at Osborne Corporation as security. Paige believes she has too dark of a past for someone as perfect as Ryan, but little does she know Ryan's past is not as perfect as she believes. Ryan has many secrets and regrets, but one thing he is sure about is his love for Paige. He will do whatever it takes to protect her and stops at nothing to make her fall for him.

"Nothing is as important to me as Paige, and nothing will ever change that. Even if in the end she wants nothing to do with me."

Paige has had a scarring past and it takes her a while to let people in. She has many doubts and fights her feelings for Ryan, but once she gives him her heart it is pretty amazing <3 I really liked her character and she is super bad-ass and in my opinion really doesn't need protection!

Some parts in the middle of the story felt a bit slow, and I had to put it down and re-start a couple times but besides that it was an overall amazing read with a great epilogue!

3.25 -better than the first book by 0.25- Stars

This one didn't blow my mind, but it definitely served its purpose in providing me my cheesy smut fix :)

I liked being in H's head more than the h's, because his thoughts made more sense and flowed less erratically. Unfortunately for me, I spent more time in the h's head than I would have liked, and having to read a full length AR story about cheesy smut, was a longer and more slower process than I would have liked.

Still, I would totally recommend this book to fans of the first book as I preferred the storyline and MC's much better than the first.

Told in dual POV and standalone story in a series. The background of these MC's were well detailed in this book and any important scenes about them in book #1, were covered again here, so it's safe to just jump into this without reading book #1 however, big AR fans would do themselves justice of having the whole lead-up/experience by reading this series in order. Also has super extended and thorough HEA.

She thinks I’m perfect. She thinks I look like Captain America. That I play by the rules. But she has no idea who I truly am. Or why I’m really here.

Paige Turner promised herself that she would get revenge against her father for what he did to her mother. She can’t let anything derail her plans, especially not her sexy and perfect boss, Ryan Justice. But she stood no chance against the heat between them.

She has no idea what obsession is. What a man like me will do to get what he wants.
I’m dirtier than she knows. She thinks I’m good to the core, but she doesn’t know the things I’ve done. The things I would do for her.
Only her.

Ryan has wanted Paige since the first moment he saw her. And everything he’s done since then has been to protect her. But the time has come to make her his, to make her fall so deep for him that when she finds out his secrets they won’t matter.

This isn’t supposed to be happening. I’m not supposed to be falling for him like this. None of this is part of the plan.
I wish someone would tell that to my heart.

Paige was awesome. She’s tough and stubborn, but also vulnerable. Her past had made it difficult for her to believe that someone as seemingly perfect and good as Ryan would want her once he learned all her secrets and it made her prickly towards him. But no matter how hard she tried to ignore him, it was impossible to stay away from him, to not want him.

She wants to be loved. I’m willing to do that for her. Break down those walls she puts up to protect herself. She’ll soon learn she doesn’t need them. I’ll always protect her. Been doing it for so long I don’t think I could ever stop. It’s part of who I am now.

I adored Ryan, and that Paige had been the only woman for him since the first moment he saw her. I loved how protective and possessive he was and that he wasn’t as controlling as Miles in the first book. He was the perfect alpha hero, with lots of bossiness and dirty talk in the bedroom ;-)

“I would do everything all over again to have you end up in my arms. I love you, Paige. I love you more than my own life. I would set fire to the world to make you smile. With one word from you, I would turn it into ash. You are the beginning and end of my life.”

I loved the chemistry between these two and the build-up of their romance. They were so good together, how both liked to see the other riled up and lose control. Their romance was sweet and scorching and the sexy times so damn hawt! If you’re familiar with this author you know to expect a lot of OTT cheesiness and I loved that this time it was left for the last part of the book.

This is definitely my favorite Alexa Riley book and a must read for all of their fans.

I am glad AR decided to starting doing longer books, as tbh, their last few shorter ones, have felt lazy and repetitive.

So, anyway, enjoyed this one more than the first one, as you know - less creepy stalking and more actual mutual attraction, is always a good thing.

It was a more well rounded developed story and I liked the heroine so much more here.

I actually loved the developing relationship between Miles and Paige. Warmed my cold dead heart so it did! (for a romance fan I feel I am awfully cynical and unemotional!)

And Captain, I loved Captain. Maybe even just because he got called Captain (yes, ok I am also shallow). And they worked so well together as a couple. Cap' maybe be ott alpha but Paige is a heroine who can truly hold her own.

I hope AR decide to start writing more of these longer full length novels, as tbh, I feel a bit done with the short novellas they seem to churn out every couple weeks, yet I do feel they have so much more to offer as writers. Maybe I have just read too many of them. However, an AR book, with more time to develop characters and plot lines etc....is a wonderful thing.

Every time a new AR book is announced- I NEED IT IMMEDIATELY!! AAAAA!! THE WAIT!
RYAN AND PAIGE NEED TO ARRIVE ASAP!!!!!!

"You are the beginning and end of my life. Don’t make me live a life without you. Because I won’t survive. Without you there is no me. You have been my everything and I swear you’re all I know anymore.”

Ah finally my Captain arrived.
And it was a lovely ride.
"His Alone" is the second book after everything for her. In the previous book we got glimpses of Ryan and Paige. Now we delve into their pasts and future.
This was an OTT sweet-low on angst- love diabetes inducing read. The couple had huge love boners for each other throughout the book- and it showed on their actions.
Since we already knew the characters, we are briefly given a glimpse into what happened before they met, their secrets, them confessing their feelings and their occasionally hot but filled with feels love scenes.
I honestly wished some things were stretched (because I wanted to read more)- because everything happened too quick in this book. It was fast paced and things did not drag- not confessions, not revenge, not HEA.
Really adored the couple's banter. Also it was good to see the bond between Miles and Paige strengthening.
Paige was really relatable- with her food obsession, possessive habits and kickass-ness and honestly, we all deserve a adoring Ryan stalker in our life. I mean seriously!
The surprise in the end was too adorbs.
The only reason it wasn't a 5 star is
-The story was only average length (yes Im greedy for more)
-The "mystery" build up didn't live up to the hype
-Low angst (mama needs her eye tissues too)
That being said, I love multiple epilogues!! They make my heart sing.
Safe
4.5/5

Hot, steamy and safe...Captain was the perfect book boyfriend (if you're like me and love an OTT alpha/stalker hero).

It started a bit slow for me but It gained momentum and I so enjoyed it.

Alexa Riley hit it out of the park with the epilogue and set the bar really really high!

3.5 stars. After the first book I've been waiting for Captain and Paige story. And still I really like the characters of this book, but sadly this suspense thread didn't hold my interest.

“You are mine until the earth stands still and there’s not a breath left in me.”

About the plot: Paige and Ryan work together as a security in the Osbourne company. He is actually her boss, but their relations never been stiff. It's clear he likes her and she likes to tease him. But they never went beyond that. Paige thinks Captain is all perfect american guy and therefore not for her. She has secrets and wants revenge and doesn't want to drag him into this. What she doesn't know, is that Ryan has his own secrets, maybe even darker than her.

“I love her spirit and the way she tries to act tough. But I know deep down she’s a kitten with little claws who thinks she’s a tiger.”

Final thoughts: I would say it is erotic suspense, a hot romance with some crime action. Like I say in the first sentence, I enjoyed alot of more a romance aspect of the story. This is because from the beginning I liked these characters and wanted a happy ending for them. To deal with their own problems was more interesting to me.

Of course this is Alexa Riley so you are ensured of a hot and dirty scenes. There is no whining, it is hot as always.

“You ever pull a stunt like sucking on lollipops at your desk again and I’ll make my dick your candy for a week.”

What I'm not sure, is if this book can be considered as standalone. They start in the previous book and some scenes are overlapping. Everything seems clear, but I had this feeling that if I did not know the previous story I would have missed something. This should not be a bad news. Just read it, then for sure you do not miss anything. Especially, that there is announced for another stories and a full book. Happy me!

Ryan seriously knows his woman real well, “we’ll have two of the Angus burgers with bacon and cheese. She’ll have mayo and ketchup, but no onions or pickles, and I’ll take it how it comes. We want a dozen wings, half mild, half hot, an order of truffle butter popcorn, and cut fries. That should be it.”Paige starts to say something, but I do it for her. “And then we’d like to see the dessert menu when we’re finished.” Ryan is real protective of his woman, “kitten, I love you hanging on to me, but I’m not answering the door with you naked unless you have a death wish for whoever’s on the other side.” I absolutely loved this book, and the alpha man that Ryan was.

Delicious dialogue, entertaining characters, and an alluring plot, HIS ALONE by Alexa Riley held me captive from the very beginning. This amazing writing duo's second full-length romance was just as SEXY and just as ALPHA-LICIOUS as the first. If you are used to the quick, down and dirty novellas that this writing team puts out, be prepared to be kicked up a couple hundred notches. Don't get me wrong, HIS ALONE is still dirty, still HOT, and there is plenty of insta-love to go around, but this baby has more depth, more complex characters, and more of an emotionally heavy storyline. I absolutely LOVED it!

"This isn't the end, Paige." He rubs his thumb across my bottom lip, and my heart beats hopefully. "This is how our story begins."

HIS ALONE is book two in Alexa Riley's For Her Series, but it can be read as a standalone. There is some character and storyline crossover, but if you haven't read EVERYTHING FOR HER yet, don't worry, you won't get lost in the shuffle. I do think that you will CRAVE MORE, once you're done with this one, that you'll be rushing to pick up the first in no time. Fall in love with Ryan and Paige. Fall in love with their story. Fall in love with the Alexa Riley's flawless writing.

The ladies of Alexa Riley are back at it again delivering a sexy, intriguing, and off the charts romance in their second full novel, His Alone. If you didn’t read the first book, it’s okay because this book can most definitely be read as standalone since Alexa Riley does an excellent job transitioning and introducing the previous characters from the first installment.

Captain..oh my Captain..swoon!!! If you are familiar with Alexa Riley and their stories then you are well aware that they will turn up the heat when it comes to their protective alpha male heroes and of course, it is not an Alexa Riley book when there isn’t an insta-love story happening. Yes, while the element of insta-love and attraction is the biggest draw of their books, Alexa Riley provided more depth in the case of Captain aka Ryan Justice and his relationship with Paige Turner.

With a sassy and feisty strong heroine and an over the top protective alpha male, you got an Alexa Riley signature story. I loved everything about this book. It was a symphony of sweet, sass, intrigue, passion and of course the unraveling of secrets. So if you are a fan of sexy romance with a side of suspense then this book is definitely for you.

Good read, but the pace suffers with the higher page count. Guess by definition insta-love/low-drama doesn't lend itself to long books.

I think this is the first AR romance that I did not finish. I DNF'd at chapter 20 beacuse of the following:

•Right off the bat I wanted to scream at them because of the constant internal dialogue of ‘I am not good enough for her/him’
•I really did not like Paige – she came across as vain and melodramatic

Side note: Ryan did grow on me…he was sweet

WE ARE GETTING CAPTAIN. I REPEAT. WE ARE GETTING CAPTAIN. I'm so excited oh my god is it time yet? No? *pouts* okay. *counts down the days until release day*

- [edit] - REVIEW:
Captain was everything I wanted and more! Oh my god. From the very beginning of the book, reading how he came to be in Mile's life in the first place I couldn't wait to see how everything turned out. I am absolutely loving this series and what Alexa Riley has been doing with it. It has a little bit of everything and just enough to make it completely impossible to bring yourself to put the book down.

Oh Captain, my Captain! Alexa Riley's full length novels never failed to feed my insta-love, guaranteed HEA and epilogue overload cravings.

Full review, also posted at The Reading Belles:

Warning: This book is over the top, cheesy, scorching hot, with virgin heroine who likes to pull the chains of the hero. Said hero is obsessed with her and destroys everything that gets between them. But they live happily ever after, that's for sure. If that is something that would make you run for the door, close this tab right now.

This is it. The beginning of my AR's full length novel obsession.

His Alone is the second in the For Her series by the writing duo who's been known to deliver traditional romance only with a lot of dirty sex, insta-love and definitely HEA. I love love the first book because Miles Osbourne defined the over the top obsessive, possessive alpha who manipulated Mallory's life just to get her to him. (I know it's insane. Haha! But it worked on me.) And though Miles still holds the OTT possessive crown, Ryan "Captain" Justice came a close second.

We met Ryan Justice (AKA Captain according to Paige and Mallory) from the first book, the head of security of Osbourne Corporation, Miles's company, and Paige Turner as well, Mallory's best friend and security detail and half-sister of Miles. They work together for the company's security.

Paige knows that getting close to Ryan is a mistake so she really has to fight off her crush on him. She's too dirty for such a perfect man. She knows she doesn't deserve him. Only, she doesn't know that Ryan keeps secrets of his own that would make or break what they could have in the future. Ryan is nothing but a man who's sure of himself. Once he decides on things, he delivers with precision and nothing could stop him. Case in point, from the first time he saw that redhead's photo in his hands, he's certain to go after her, protect her at all cost and make her fall in love with him.

I love that this book has a well-thought-out prologue. It's not something I was expecting but I considered it a good backstory to get to know Ryan and how he ended up working for Miles. The chemistry was very strong which was a sure thing with AR's books. There were a lot of moments where Ryan couldn't just stop being the perfect man. He cooks for Paige (that woman loves to eat!). He's more gentleman because he'd rather have sex with Paige once she acknowledges her feelings for him. He could last all day just by kissing the girl. (But where is the fun in that, right? Haha!) He supports Paige's shoe addiction (swoon!). And he's got this wallpaper of Paige's photos in his room AKA Paige Shrine when his fixation for her started. (What did I say about being OTT obsessed and cheesy??? Don't say I didn't warn you.) Also, for someone who had a sassy mouth and teased Ryan like a freaking vixen, I didn't peg Paige to be a virgin. She hid it so well. Or the authors did. But this is Alexa Riley; I should have known that. LOL. I liked that Paige could hold her own and wasn't intimidated of Ryan. Size-wise (she's small, he's enormous) and otherwise. Her plot for revenge has good intentions and I loved that she didn't mind to get her hands dirty for it.

There has been less obsession and stalking to this one but it's still there, just toned down. Maybe because both of them work together and Ryan was sure to have eyes on Paige all the time. While the lies and deception played a part on the conflict, it didn't linger that much. I was expecting for something more unexpected that would have me throwing my Kindle but I guess the authors are not there yet. The suspense plot of Paige coming after her father only to find out Ryan had been there first was a nice try as well for the authors. It's too bland for my taste, though. Too easy. Maybe they could work out more on that with their next full-lengths. The sex, though it took some time for them to have it, was still top notch. Totally AR signature–filthy and so very hot.

Overall, if you love AR's novellas then you'd surely like this His Alone! Once again, these unstoppable authors delivered a full length novel that's so hot, very sweet (because Ryan!! Eeee!!!), a page-turner and loaded with satisfying epilogues. Yes, plural and it's not just two–it's more.

I know I am in the minority with this review, and this is my review and the reasons (in no particular order but discussed in the order below)...

1. This is my first Alexa Riley novel
2. I requested the title because it was full-length
3. I am aware I am in the minority
4. I am aware the things I disliked are the hallmarks of this author
5. This is just my opinion

1. I have not read anything by this author previously. Yes, I have heard of her/them. Impossible not to, really. But the blurbs of the titles have not been something that I found interesting, so I have not requested them or read them. I generally shy away from novellas when it is not an author I am already familiar with, and up until this one, all have been shorter...but that is point 2 below.

2. I wanted to see what this author was all about, and the fact that this was a full-length novel and not a shorter novella appealed to me, as one of the things that I saw as a previous drawback was the length of them. Unfortunately, this did not hold up as a novel for me. I thought it was too drawn out, especially the ending, and that, ironically, it would have been better served as a shorter story/novella. The numerous endings, and the flashback made it seem like the authors also were struggling with where to cut off the narrative as well. I get wanting to fully finish a book, to end the narrative...but for me, it went on a lot longer than was necessary. I am not sure if this is something that is common for this author, as this is my first of her books, but it did not appeal to me.

3. I know, everyone else likes this author. I do. And, I would be lying if I didn't admit that was part of the reason I gave this a shot. Sometimes, I am in the minority (like this time) and others I find an author I like who is new to me. While that was not the case in this instance, trying a new author is never a bad thing, even when it doesn't work out.

4. The insta-love element was actually not as present in this one as I have heard it is present in the shorter novellas for the author, so I thought that was interesting. Unfortunately, I found the dialog to be a little difficult to connect with. I know, I do, that this is the point. And, I am aware that this means I did not connect with the intentional writing style of this author. Not every book is for every reader. This was not one that worked for me. Nothing against those who love the author. What I can say is that the dialog and the style were consistent throughout. Credit to the author in this, as it is clearly a writing style choice that is deliberate and executed well, and consistently, throughout the book.

5. I know, I am in the minority with this. I requested the book knowing there was a chance that it was not going to work for me. But, I did so with both an open mind and the intention of giving it a fair chance. I feel that I did and my rating reflects this.

I am not able to recommend this book nor will I be reading other works by this author.

Captain is finally here!!!

While reading Everything for Her I was dying to know more about Ryan and Paige, – ok, ok, I confess specially, the Captain; he was begging for my attention, lol – so when AR announced they would have their own story I screamed of joy and starting counting down the days until the C day, and here he is now!!!!

Captain really was everything I was dreaming of and more, so much more! He took my – and Paige’s, the lucky girl – breath away. He was indeed the perfect hero in my book, the very description of loyal and protective Alpha, and just as deliciously obsessed and possessive as Alexa Riley got us used to! I ADORED him SO MUCH!!! One of my all time fav book-boyfriends!

These ladies have once again delivered an amazing, sweet and heart warning, and über sexy and tingling (to say the least) inducing story that satisfy all my erotic romance marks, and given the full length, it was a even more satisfying hit to my AR addiction! Can’t get enough from them, so bring on the next!!! ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Ps. And we got the chance to see more of Miles and Mallory, so SCORE!!!!

I love you, Paige. I love you more than my own life. I would set fire to the world to make you smile. With one word, I would turn it into ash. You are the beginning and end of my life. Don’t make me live a life without you. Because I won’t survive. Without you there is no me. You have been my everything and I swear you’re all I know anymore.”

You said you’d do anything for me. I’d do anything for you, too. I love you more than anything. I don’t think I can breathe without it,”
