Get SAFe Now: A Lightning Introduction to the Most Popular Scaling Framework on Agile

Rate this book
*Updated to be compliant with SAFe 5.1.* SAFe is a response to organizations who need to scale Agile Teams. While SAFe's "Big Picture” is thorough and complete, it is too dense for most first-time readers. “Get SAFe Now” makes SAFe approachable to all and quickly narrates the recommended start-up approach to implementing SAFe in a learning-friendly way using visuals and real-world examples. This book also helps as a primer before various SAFe training. It uses Active Learning technique to test the understanding leveraging thought provoking questions.

Great Overview and 1000 foot Into to SAFe

This quick read is a great way to get a basic understanding of the concepts of Scaled Agile Framework. The key concepts are introduced with enough meat for someone looking to start the process or reviews it capabilities. Also the pattern of intro, some detail and Q/A helps make things stick in the brain.

So-so

The information is a bit dated now and the flow is a bit challenging to follow. The information available directly on the SAFe website is more up-to-date and can be navigated either by level or program roll out, making it a better source than this book.

Served its purpose as a high level overview of SAFe, but was very repetitive and at times felt like a sales pitch to buy specialized training programs.

Confusing and lots of buzz words. Could have been much shorter and to the point
