The one where I called him cruel, cold, demanding. Oh, yeah, and sexy as hell.
But instead of sending it to my friend, I sent it to him.
My boss.
Jared King, billionaire head of King Advertising. The man everyone calls The King because he’s so controlling, gorgeous, and full of himself.
I answer his phones, and he barely looks at me, except for one word--“Messages?”-- as he holds his hand out, his Rolex glinting under the light as he demands what’s his.
The employees all whisper about how bad they want him, and his face is on a different magazine each week, always with a different socialite or actress on his arm.
I’m sure he’ll fire me when he reads the email I accidentally sent him. Jared King is not known for his forgiving nature. In fact, it’s just the opposite.
But to my surprise, he gives me one more chance. The only catch? I have to do everything he says.
Soon his tasks are becoming less work-related and more… sex-related. He’s making me take pictures of myself in lingerie, asking me to accompany him to fancy restaurants, making me get down on my knees and…
He knows how to play my body and mind, how to keep me wanting and begging for more of him. But soon I’m starting to worry that my second chance is turning into my worst nightmare.
Because the only thing more torturous than being Jared King’s assistant? Is falling in love with him…

Good but couldn't the first story and this story be combined with the third story into ONE book? So far it has been sexual tension between an inexperienced girl and an a## hole. Where did the 4 and 5 stars come from ARC's ?
This book was a good but not great addittion to the series, firstly it was by no means as HOT as the first book in the series and secondly I felt as though the relationship between the two characters was more forced and unrealistic.
The main character was again Quinn, who annoyed me slightly in this book mainly because it seemed like she felt entitled to Jared just because of what happened in the first book which let's be honest wasn't much. She gets pissy with him when he doesn't give her all of his attention then claims to have fallen in love with him shortly after sleeping with him.
The secondary character is Jared, who seems more and more standoffish in this book and to be honest I can't blame him because Quinn annoyed the hell out of me in this book too.
The storyline is again not terribly original and in this book seemed very forced. The pacing was alright and I will continue with the rest of the series if only to get completion for the characters in my mind.
SO I did it!1 I went and stupidly bought this 2nd installment if the series. Definitely not worth the money they charge for the 2nd book. It is a very quick read, and I lost interest half way through. Definitely not getting book 3.
Part two of the boss and secretary story with the misleading title.
The secretary is wounded by the heartless boss's behavior and then ends up yelling at him in a way that would have gotten fired before she could blink in the real world, but in the book's world gets her the hero's attention instead.
It's only been a few days since I read this but I only remember snapshots of what happened - the two have a fight, he promotes her, ignores her, opens up a tiny bit, .
I don't think I'll be reading the next part since I can probably tell you what's about to happen without even reading it - . Anyone who's read the third part, am I close?
SINFULLY SEXY !!! Title: Devil In A Suit Designation: Book Two of Three, Serialized Steamy Contemporary Romance, Not A Standalone, Cliffhanger Warning, Not Full-Length(55 pages) Author: Ivy Carter Reading Platform: Kindle Unlimited My Rating: Four Sinfully Sexy Stars Wow! This is my first time reading Ivy Carter but it certainly won't be my last. I'm a huge Hannah Ford fan and this book was included as a bonus in one of Hannah Ford's recent releases, so I decided to give it a whirl and so glad I did. I'd like to preface my review by saying, Devil In A Suite: Book One is not a standalone; it's a serial. As soon as I finished Book One, I raced back to Amazon and discovered Books Two and Three have already been released and are available under the Kindle Unlimited Program. Jackpot! Apparently, Devil In A Suit is Carter's first release and I must admit, I'm quite impressed with her work. Her talent is obvious, her style is mesmerizing, her skill is impressive, and her prose is absolutely mesmerizing. I found the story to be fast-paced, exciting, sensual, sexy, and well-crafted. There were a few minor boo-boos but nothing that distracted me from the story. The narrative is beautifully written with a singular first-person perspective from the female protagonist. The dialogue is smart, seductive, well executed and flowed effortlessly. But without a doubt, my favorite component of this story is the engaging cast of characters. I was immediately captivated by the two protagonists, handsome ruthless billionaire advertising mogul Jared King, and beautiful struggling new employee and still very much a naive virgin, Quinn Carson. Their attraction was undeniable, their sexual chemistry was off the charts, and their interaction and banter were quite entertaining. In Book One, the reader only receives a small peek into the possibilities for these characters and the direction of the storyline so I will reserve further judgment until I can read more. In Book Two, the author continues the riveting fast pace of the story as we see the relationship heat up between Quinn and her boss, Jared King. And one thing's for sure, Quinn may be innocent and naive but she has quite a temper and refuses to be anyone's doormat...especially Jared King's! Get ready for the fireworks!
Quinn Carson finally landed her dream job...kinda. After graduating from college at the top of her class, it was quite easy to secure a job as a copywriter at King Advertising, even if she hasn't technically written any copy...yet. Unfortunately, she's just another unimportant, nameless face at the bottom of the ladder posing as a junior copywriter with a lunchtime fill-in position as Jared King's personal assistant. In other words, she's just a little fish in a great big ocean filled with countless other little fish trying to survive among some terrifying sharks. Jared King is the biggest shark of all and he doesn't even know she exists....until she mistakenly sends an email to him rather than her best friend who happens to have the same initials. And let's just say, the email in which she regaled her boss' many shortcomings was less than complimentary. Apparently, Jared King does know she exists and is determined to demand his pound of flesh for her snafu... in the form of sexy lingerie and a dinner date. Oh my! But why in the world would someone like Jared King, who could have any beautiful woman in the world, want to take her to dinner? And what's a twenty-two-year-old naive, inexperienced virgin to do when coerced into a date with a ruthless, handsome, sexy devil in a suit who also happens to be her boss??? We'll see!
Did I like this book? Yes, I liked it a lot! As I said, there were a few minor boo-boos but nothing that distracted me from the story. Would I recommend it? You bet and I am but only for adult readers since it does contain some steamy, dreamy romance! Will I read this author again? Absolutely! I can hardly wait to get the next book in my hot little hands! Was I entertained? Completely! I was glued to my seat, white knuckling my reader with my heart fluttering wildly in my chest! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read!
****Warning....This is the second of three installments of a serialized steamy contemporary romance and does end in a cliffhanger, but the remaining two installments are already available.
This is a three part novella series by Ivy Carter. Quinn has an entry level job at King Advertising, one of the most successful advertising firms in the country. Everyday for one hour while his PA is at lunch she must answer all Jared King's calls, the stone face owner of the company. He barely looks at her or even acknowledges her except to say "messages" while sticking his hand out. Jared King is retired from the Navy and is now running his own hugely successful company. He's very closed off ever since his Mother died when he was a little boy, never forming attachments with anyone. Quinn makes a mistake and Jared screams at her, she's furious so she sends her BFF, Janet an email about how cold, cruel, demanding and sexy Jared is. Instead of going to Janet the email goes to Jared and she expects him to fire her but he asks her out to dinner and she accepts.
After reading book one, I continued to book 2 to see if maybe it would improve but sadly I only made it halfway through this one. In my opinion, having books 46 and 55 pages long doesn't give you enough time to really know the characters so I struggled to connect at all. Quinn really irritated me overall because no matter how much she said she couldn't stand her boss, she pretty much sat up n begged whenever he gave her orders of a sexual kind. It all seemed to unrealistic for my liking and there wasn't anything there to convince me to keep reading
May contain spoilers but nothing real big happened in this book!
Devil in a Suit Book 2 picks right up from where book 1 ended. Quinn is hurt and distrustful of Jared's actions and avoids him to begin with. This is easy since he is still offish. She confronts him and a hot session happens. Quinn gets a promotion and even though she proves herself she also is unsure why he isn't making any moves. A pent up evening explodes and the go to his home where they make love for the (and her first period) first time and afterwards she tells him he's her first which causes him to get weird. She leaves hurt once again.
great read, must read, short & sweet. wow, was that a short book, read through Kindle Unlimited. Read it in less than an hour? i wonder now after reading all 3 books why it was split up like it is? i was thinking if i had to pay for these books i might not, not saying they are not great reads, just not sure why they were in 3 different books? hope that makes sense. ( ;
Seemed more rushed than the first book in the series. I missed seeing the build up continue with the main characters. I also noticed there were quite a few grammatical errors, so I felt like I was stopping to re-read a sentence.
I enjoyed the book, due to the excellent writing and development of the characters. I did not however enjoy that this book was just as short as the first one, had I not gotten them through kindle unlimited I would not have read them.
I wish you could buy the books in a book set. I like the series, but so much is lacking. We don't know much about the characters and the books are so short. I want more.
Now this segment turned up the heat! I really enjoy the interactions and chemistry with all the characters throughout this book. Bring on the next one.
