..because jeez, I am feeling it big time right now! This book was hot.
Dash. Oh Dash. He was lethal, possessive, domineering and completely gone for Babette right from the first meeting.
"You ruined me for other women the second you walked in wearing that green dress. You've got my cock on a string, baby. Ain't looking anywhere else."

Babette needs to get away from the bad situation she finds herself in at home. When she see an ad in the local paper about a job as a magician's assistant, she thinks the opportunity has finally come.
Dash Kelly is not a nice guy. Neither is he a magician. He places an ad in the newspaper with the hope of finding someone to help him out with his cons. When sweet innocent little Babette sashays into the hotel looking to fill the position, it's all Dash can do to stop himself from "filling" her in every position known to man.

What can I say about this one...I enjoyed it. It was deliciously smutty and short. It was well written. It had a smokin hot hero and a very likable heroine. It had a bit of "daddy kink" (catnip). It even made me shed a tear or two towards the end.
My only wish is that it had been longer. I think it would have made a great full length novel. I also wish there would have been more to the epilogue cough *babies* cough. Overall though, a very enjoyable time was had by yours truly...

Oh my word. This was as expected, super dirty. I feel extremely unclean after reading this.
Now I'm sure everyone is wondering about the age and just how much of a jailbait the h Babs is... well we don't know. Jessa Kane does not reveal the age of either of the characters, we don't even know if she's legal... just let your mind run wild people she could be from around 17-21 I think? Have no clue how old Dash is, like maybe late 30s to early 40s?
There was a scene that makes me think she isn't legal but who knows? Amazon definitely can't remove this story because there's no confirmation of underage sex...
Anyways not sure how else to review this, I enjoyed the story for the most part, I thought the con artist stuff was interesting. And the sex was off the charts (I'd like to think she was legal).

Loved every smokin' hot, filthy second of this story. :) I pictured sexy Dash as a very young Rutger Hauer as he seduced his sweet & innocent little assistant Babette. This story actually had more depth to it than I was expecting it to have, especially for it being as short of a story as it is. Good stuff, with a bit of daddy kink to it. Totally recommend.

He finally gives in and they have some steamy moments but it comes crashing down when Babette is almost raped and he can't have his darkness taint her... but little does he know he's sending back to a home that's just as bad.

Jessa Kane really knows how to write a smoking hot book, one that will leave you feeling dirty but in a good way. The book is called Jailbait but the reader doesn't actually get told her age. Babette lives with her disgusting, pathetic, alcoholic Stepfather ever since her Mother took off and left her with him. At night she has to lock her bedroom door to stay safe from him but that doesn't stop him from verbally and physically abusing her. She answers an ad she sees in the local paper for a magician's assistant, she's determined to get away from her Stepfather and her town. Dash Kelly is a man of mystery we are not really given much information about him but it doesn't stop me from loving him. He is a magician but he's also a con man who needs a beautiful woman to be a distraction while he picks the audience's pockets. When he sees the gorgeous, voluptuous Babette walk into the hotel in answer to his ad he is blown away by her. He tries to walk away from her telling her she's too young for the job but then she starts singing and he's never heard anything more beautiful and he takes her with him.

So I liked this book way more than I should have.
This was such a smutty, dirty, naughty book. And I liked it. That's really all I can say. I feel like I need a shower to wash off the dirtiness that is this book!
The smuttier the book the better for me so ofcourse I enjoyed this one. As far as the "Daddy" calling...I am really iffy about that in books. Some authors just gotta know how to write it to make it HOTT and this author didn't disappoint. This book was HOTT! I wish I knew her age though so I could feel a little better about myself for liking this book as much as I did. I was alittle disappointed that she wasn't knocked up...I really thought that she would be. Oh well, it was still a 4 star read for me. :)

Holy hell!
He's mid 30's and she's 'very young'. Since I know 'She's too young' got removed from Amazon because the female protagonist wasn't of legal age I'm guessing it's because of this. But really by not staying her age and just playing around the fact she looks young and passes as a kid, she could be anywhere in her teenage years depending on what the reader wants. You can't really complain if you don't know the age, it's then your own making.
In all honesty I fucking LOVED it. I didn't put it down once, it was a super quick read, it was super smutty and had some action and shit, and honestly I wouldn't have really asked for anything more. Okay, maybe a different cover because this ones horrible, but I can deal with that.

this truly need to be a full length novel !
there was so much to unpack.. for 1
the internal thought of dash are gold !
for a mam without a heart with no conscience not a care in the world for anybody but him self he is surprisingly decent..
he meets a young woman desperate to flee her situation who refuses to have him pity her and not be a cry baby or a burden to him.. so she spins a tale of happy childhood safe home and loved ones but having the case a wanderlust as a reason why she wants to join him on the road as a magicians assistant..
she knows what she wants and risks everyting multiple times over for her needs her wants her pride and
he is all kinds of wrong and dangerous insane even but of all the things that could happen to a girl meeting this insanely possessive and protective man is her saving grace.. cus he kills to protect her and does everything in his power to give her what she wants even if he sacrifices his own peace of mind so she can have her dream.. its dark twisted but kinda romantic
best way to describe it is leon the movie crossed with jessica rabbit meets bonny and clyde.. ..hope that helps

An oldie but a goodie from Jessa Kane. One of my favorites from her!
This story is about Dash and Babette. Dash is a handsome conman, masquerading as a magician entertainer. He specializes in conning men who hire him for magic acts (where the men get distracted by his sexy female assistant partner and he pickpockets them). An oddly specific occupation, but it's a Jessa Kane story - we suspend our disbelief here. Dash's previous partner in crime ran away with money to be with her lesbian lover (so you know that the hero never had a relationship with her). Dash puts an ad out to try to find a new assistant for his magic act. In comes Babette - adefinitely underage young, innocent, and gorgeous Jessica Rabbit who comes from an abusive household. She sees Dash's ad and thinks it's her ticket to escaping her house and abusive stepfather. When Dash catches sight of Babette, he's a goner. He can barely stop himself from raping her in the middle of a crowded city and becomes perpetually horny. Babette is attracted to him as well, but has self esteem issues. After convincing Dash to hire her due to her sexy singing voice, they go off to their life of crime. But things aren't so easy with an OTT crazed possessive alpha hero and a heroine so sexy that all men who see her want to rape her. Cue lots of violence and sexy times as Dash decides he can't handle other men looking at Babette.
This was a crazy story, but the chemistry and sex scenes were WILD. That scene where Dash had to pull over the car and take Babette's virginity was just hot hot hot. I loved Dash - usually I'm all for the tall, dark and handsome trope, but in this case, I thought it was great that he had the typical blonde hair blue eyes, traditionally handsome look, because he was a criminal who got away with things by looking like that. I liked that he was a detached playboy until he went completely CRAZY over Babette. Then he didn't know how to deal with his obsession and acted like an addict towards her, because he never felt that way before. It was so cute! Babette was a big sweetheart, too. Sometimes Jessa Kane heroines can act bratty, but Babette was honestly just so nice and self sacrificing. Such a cute couple.
It got a bit weird how Babette was basically a human male aphrodisiac - literally every man that lays eyes on her gets an uncontrollable urge to violate her 😨. Again, I guess it's just something you get used to with Jessa Kane OTT stories.

Once I got past the awkwardness of the characters' names, this was a fun, short read! Favorite line spoken by Dash:

Ugh Jessa Kane, you kill me every time!
Not only are your books deliciously dirty, THEY'RE WELL WRITTEN.
Not once did we see either of the characters say they loved each other, neither did we find out how old Babs was when he took her(double meaning)*wink,wink* nor did we find out Dash's whole back story (Which is typical smut; for a big part of the story to just be missing and for the writer to just fill it in with a lot of sex.)
Yet even with those elements missing it still felt as if the story was completed and that the characters will love each other until the end of time, which is totally ridiculous for written porn and even if you didn't read into it like I did *Ha!* it was still just some good quick smut and is highly recommended if you want to end up in a wet pile of your own making.
