About the author

aka Kathryn Taylor, Kathy Attalla, Kat Attalla

From a very young age, Kathryn showed an aptitude for telling stories. Of course her mother called her a pathological liar, but she prefers to think back on those days as an apprenticeship for her future craft. Like most authors, she didn't start out as a writer, but rather as a reader. Her passion for romance novels began in her late teens and left her with an itch to discover the world.

After living in places as culturally diverse as Athens, Greece and Cairo, Egypt (where she met and married her own romantic hero) they returned to the states and settled in the quiet town of Sterling Forest, New York. After the birth of my daughter, her husband suggested she take up writing as a hobby to fill her days. The hobby became a love, and the love an obsession. (Sometimes her husband is sorry he ever made that suggestion.)

She learned how to write from the best--the authors who penned the books she spent countless hours reading. Although her writing allows her mind to soar in clouds, she has a daughter who keep her feet firmly planted on the ground. She signs her novels as Kathryn Taylor, Kathryn Attalla, Kathy Attalla and Kat Attalla.

Contemporary secret baby plot with a forced living together situation, although the best of intentions by the rich (but clueless) father, Mr. Andrew Sinclair.
After getting to know Andrew, you can see what he was really trying to do that night that he met with fabric designer Caitlin Adams although falling in love wasn't on the 'to do' list. So a one time crazy lust-filled night makes a little baby which is easy to hide because Caitlin is on a one year contract in Singapore so hiding a pregnancy from a close sister and her newlywed husband is pretty easy when there is only phone calls. I guess she didn't use skype? So Andrew Sinclair does try to do his best, but because he has spent that last lifetime being a selfish narcissist corporate mogul, he is having a bit of a difficult time of it as he is trying to woo the mother of his surprise-child who is just as stubborn.
Lots of healing of past family rifts and redemption is served up to all the deserving. HEA guaranteed in this less then original story, but the dialogue is witty, funny and show real affection (or distrust) with the characters.

Caitlin's Choice

This starts out with a one night stand that wasn't supposed to happen. Andrew just wanted to stop his brother from matting beneath him. But after bedding the sister things get complicated. Caitlin left the next day for Singapore. And a year later comes back with a three month old son. When he finds out he blackmailed her into living with him so that he could get to know his son. There was a lot going on in this story. I had read it years ago but didn't leave a review. I enjoy Kat Attalla way of telling a story. I have several of them.

Good fun

Likable characters. Entertaining story line reading ad good humour. Put it on the shelf for an easy read sometime down the line

What happens when a woman allows her heart to tell her what to do in regards to a rich Alpha male instead of her mind? She has to deal with all of the consequences of her actions.

This is what happens to hot-looking fashion designer Caitlin Adams, who prior to her yearlong transfer to Singapore decides forego all of her pessimism to have a night of unprotected sex with the rich desirable hunk Andrew Sinclair in order to achieve her dreams of a HEA with him. I feel that the reason she decided to allow him to do it without a condom is that she had a secret desire to become a mother and for Andrew to be the father. But as with the best laid plans of mice and men, hers goes awry when she learns he’d lied about the reason she’s with him.

For Andrew’s part, he never expected for Caitlin to have the profound affect she had on his life, after all he’s supposed to be a non-sentimental businessman, but she did.

The only thing Caitlin has upon her return to the U.S. is her son, whose face now reminds her of the cad she’s trying to forget. At the same time Andrew, learning she’s back and now has a son who only could be his has only one thing on his mind; for everyone to be a family. He’s so determined that he’ll even seek legal means to gain her attention and his goal.

Meanwhile Caitlin knows she needs a place to stay and fearful of a possible legal ramifications with Andrew, leaves her with the only solution possible which is to move in with him for six months. Caitlin is reluctant, but she knows her son will need a father figure to look up to as he grows up. If he bonds with her son she might get the second chance HEA she secretly desires with Andrew, because if she doesn’t she knows she’ll have to explain why her son doesn’t look like her husband. But merely having him bond with his son is not enough to seal any sort of relationship with Caitlin, Andrew must learn he needs to not only give her his body; he needs to his heart to her as well.

The interaction between these two characters is superb without the overly rampart sex scenes one might expect. The roller coaster multitude of emotions a reader experiences throughout the book adds to the enjoyment of the read.

In the end I feel this book deserves the 5 STARS I’ve given it.

sweet romance

This book is a sweet romance in which an alpha male acts I a way that alienates the alpha female. The pregnancy of the main character is the thing that creates the underlying plot of the story. The baby, Tyler is the glue that cements this couple together. I've wanted at time to strangle her when she failed to see that he loved her, but a strong woman is so much fun to read. I enjoyed the book and would recommend it to anyone.

I thought this novel was pretty much everything is should be. Certain things unsaid made me not love the novel but it most certainly was great. I would of loved to find out what happened to Andrews mother and sister before the novel ended.

don't appreciate how the dude character is auburn and the guy on the cover is brunette. I thought the two characters were around the same age, so it sucked that I had to re-recreate him in my head when I found out he's older.

Really cute. The h did start to irritate me a little, but i like the fact that even though his sister was a cow she helped her because she needed it. I thought Andrew redeemed himself quite nicely.

I found the name a bit funny, because in the end Caitlin didn't really have that many choices; most of them were just given to her.
But a nice, fast read. Quite typical romance story.

Story brought together people from two totally different lifestyles. The beginning is deceiving, and leads to a really great ending.

H's mom was evil, his sister was a drunken spoiled brat and aside from the h's sister her family was just as bad.
