You want to know about me? I believe in three things: loyalty to my friends, helping those in need and the end justifies the means. Some serious shit went down when I was in the Army. I mean brutal. After my last tour, I created the Shadow Alliance. Me and my team know how to get things done, and will take on all those jobs that others won’t. My name is Declan McAllister and when it comes to keeping people safe, I’m your man. Mess with me and I will rain hell-fire on you like you’ve never experienced before.

Few things get my motor running like beauty and brains. Okay, a nice ass doesn’t hurt either. Getting a chance to work with FBI Agent Allison Davies, who is the whole package, normally would be great, except when she followed my butt down to the flood ravaged country of Paraguay to track down a traitor, and ends up putting her career on the line.

Now here we are attempting to keep things professional, but the more I watch Allison pour her heart and soul into this case, the more I want to see what that same passion would be like between the sheets.

Didn’t like it. It was all over the place, too many people, and too many relationships going on. Her history is believable but not in relationship with where she is now. And I didn’t care for Declan.

ARC kindly provided by TRSOR promotions.

This is my first book by Caitlyn O'Leary and I have to say I really liked it.
Okay, to be perfectly honest, first thing I did notice was this HOT cover. I just had to read it!
Plus, I never pass a chance to read about sexy military men.
The story had it all. Kick ass heroine, amazing hero, off the charts chemistry and most importantly... author's superb writing style! What do you get when you combine a female FBI agent and a soldier?
Ha! I am not telling! Read it and find out for yourself.
I cannot wait to read more of this spinoff series.

Exciting, sexy, danger-filled mission for Declan!!

We meet Declan as he is helping flood victims, and reminiscing about past missions - an especially bad one in particular - and how his shrink Foster and teammates Zane and Brannon have all helped him make it to today. He has had a 4-year-old shadow for the last ten days; Anna, which is not unusual and results in him having multiple “godchildren” around the world.

Allison Davies arrives in Paraguay with the Red Cross, her mission was to meet Declan. An FBI agent, Allison is asking about a person of interest Hal Rhalstead, but she is not necessarily working on the FBI’s dime right now. Both Declan and Allison have personal reasons to get this dangerous criminal off the streets, and it becomes even more personal as the story deepens.

Combining forces and information brings them closer than ever to their target. Electricity runs between them when they are alone. Allison has a history which makes her exceedingly skittish, and her response at being informed by Declan they are in a “relationship” is priceless:

Now she looked flabbergasted. Good. “But we’re only sleeping together. Neither of us
does relationships, and it’s only been five days.”
“Five days where we’ve been glued at the hip. Five days where I’ve watched you go
through some of the most intense situations with grace and guts. Five days where I’ve seen
your humor, and caring, and learned more about you than probably anyone except K.C.”

The Shadow Alliance team, the cyber intricacies, the increasing danger and the developing relationship between Declan and Allie all culminate in a heart-stopping, incendiary story which will leave you breathless.

This is book one of the new Shadow Alliance written by Caitlyn O''Leary. This story focuses on Declan and Allison. Declan is one of the founders of the Shadow Alliance and Allison works for the FBI. A cold case brings these two together and requires them to have to work together.

Declan is a control freak and having to control that while working with Allison being she is a very capable woman. One of biggest part of this book that I really liked was that Allison was shown to be a very strong woman but she was also vulnerable. She was written in a way that shows you can be strong and also have feelings.

I really liked Declan in the book, there was times he was a little controlling, but luckily he is surrounded by people who will call him on it. They understand his need up to a point but when he was being ridiculous they put a stop to it. I also really like the relationship Declan has with Anna. There just is something about this big strong man who seems to melt around a little girl.

I loved this book and I would recommend it.

Declan by Caitlyn O'Leary is the first book in her new Shadow Alliance series. It is action packed and full of twists and turns that will leave you breathless. Declan is the alpha hero of the book but Allison is no meek little lady to stand by the sidelines. She gives as good as she gets and while they both attempt to maintain a professional distance from each other the fact that they are so well suited in their beliefs, ethics and lifestyles makes it impossible. While saving the day they succumb to their explosive attraction.

The purpose of Thrifty Thursday is to read a book which was free (at some point).
Kindle freebie on December 2, 2019  (currently unavailable to purchase as of writing this post)

This is a little different because it is an anthology of complete books so I am working on the books, which are first in the series, or the first of the series if I have it.

Declan starts with a flashback to when he was active duty as an Army Ranger.   Apparently this is a spin-off to a previous series, which makes sense, because I felt slightly like I was dropping in at the end of a series.  There are a lot of characters.

I enjoyed the world and could have used just a bit longer book to develop at least the main characters even more.  The book is mostly Declan's POV.  We get some of the time Allie is not with him but not really her thoughts.   There relationship is fast, maybe too fast.   I like both of them and how much they care about others, especially children.

The world events and mystery are all a bit vague.  We don't learn everything about the Shadow Alliance or all the projects.   The current flooding in Paraguay and the various problems there are sad and the team does their best to deal with them.  The long term vendetta is coming to a head.  Declan and Allie together along with many others on the team are needed to solve it and it's dangerous to the end.

While Declan is listed as the first in the series, there don't seem to be any more books five years later.  I'm a bit sad as I think I would read more.

This book. omgoodness, THIS BOOK.

From the heart-wrenching beginning to the beauty-filled ending, Declan filled my reader's heart and made me smile and swoon and simply feel . It took me a second to get into the swing of a full male first person narrative, but once I did, omgoodness did I love experiencing the story through Declan's head. I think that made the story all that more easy to invest in and be hooked tight from beginning to end.

Declan is the kind of alpha hero I love -- protective, determined, strong, bossy, but with a deeper soft-spot that keeps him real. Also, I just couldn't stop swoonin' over his love and care for children. I really identified with the empathy Declan displayed throughout the entire book.

Allie is the kind of heroine I also adore, soft, sweet, and strong all wrapped up together in a vulnerable and tough package. She has a beauty and light from deep down that couldn't be smothered. There was something about her that really connected to me too - and then getting to see Allie through Declan's eyes....

I couldn't get enough of seeing the brotherhood and deep bond of Declan's teammates and other friends, and seeing how their relationship with each other was rock solid (or growing to that). Some of the boy convos made me giggle, thinking they're just as bad as girls sometimes with their gabbing.

Throw in some deeper drama and some unexpected twists, and this was one un-put-down-able story. I can't wait to get more in this series!

Declan
Shadow Alliance Book 1
by Caitlyn O'Leary
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Oh My! I knew this was going to be awesome read, this is a FANTASTIC Start to this series. If you are a fan of the Midnight Delta Seals Series by Caitlyn O'Leary, then you will probably love this series as well. With the current price that is running (book 1 ), now is a great time to give the series a try. I couldn't wait until I got to read Declan! And I'm glad that I did because I was in love with the character in the other series. I wanted to see the type female Cait would give him. Well it has me hooked I couldn't put it down. This book has a lot of different elements that makes it standout to to me among not only previous titles from this author but just in general. I simply cannot wait to see glimpses of Allison and Declan throughout the rest of this series which I am sure will be just as captivating! This story is a standalone, though I would strongly suggest reading the books in this because it will be more of this Alpha male delicious goodness! My love affair with Caitlyn O'Leary started with Midnight Delta Seals and has continued through each story and will last as long as she picks up a pen. Once again Caitlyn O'Leary has another five star book, but then from her there is nothing else. Caitlyn books always have my Blood Boiling and my Heart Melting, her secondary characters aren't much different that's how I fell for Declan before he had his own storyline.
Declan and his team are helping flood victims, his recurring nightmare of when his mission had been especially bad and he feels that he killed people. he thinking of how they started the company, him, Foster, Zane and Brannon and they all help him make it now. For the last ten days He has had a 4-year-old shadow Anna, that's why Declan has a unusual amount of godchildren around the world. Allison Davies is a FBI agent, who comes to Paraguay with the Red Cross to help flood victims, but she has another unofficial mission which is to meet Declan and get him to tell her what he knows about Hal Rhalstead. Allison and Declan each have their reasons to get this dangerous criminal. As the days pass they get closer and the chemistry between them gets hot and steamy. As usual Caitlyn makes us laugh, need a few Kleenex's and a couple of fans. One of my favorite parts is when
Declan tells Allison they are in a relationship! Oh I couldn't hold back I laughed out loud it was so priceless!

WOW! All I can say is Caitlyn O' Leary YOU did it AGAIN! She creates a new book in a new series that is a PHENOMENAL! This book is everything I expected and so much more! Declan has always been sexy, brave, smart, interfering, gorgeous and protective. Allison is a BBW, strong, witty, caring, smart and sensual, she is just the type woman that Caitlyn would write for Declan. This storyline gives you lots of romance, steamy hot sensual scenes and suspense! Caitlyn is so talented and one of my go authors. You don't want to miss this book! This is a great book to add to your TBR list. I'm so excited about reading the next book this author writes. I highly recommend this book.

If you believe in the world of romance, the possibilities are endless and fascinating!

Caitlyn has been working us into a crazy frenzy with only limited knowledge of who and what Declan is and does... And now we get to FINALLY meet him.. And heck no it's not disappointing it was something extraordinary.. I am giving you this review so you understand how amazing this story and the others written by Caitlyn O'Leary are...you get to see into the minds of military men and woman who have gone through horrible circumstances and still find the courage to come out on top..
A devastating flood in Paraguay takes Declan to its land to help flood victims with food water shelter and other things... Declan is one of the founders of The Shadow Alliance, which if you haven't read the other books is kind of like the military with strong connections in many places and to many people. He is a friend to the Midnight Delta team . He is a force to be recon with. Now he is in Paraguay helping others and While there he comes to meet Anna a little girl who warms his heart. Yes he is a strong and confident man but when you read about how he is with this little angel you see the big beautiful heart.. She follows him everywhere... But things are not just simple in Declan's world.. Yes he is a puzzle and controlling at times but always with good reason. He has a heart of gold under that tough armor...Now to add to his loss of concentration and being stretched thin there's a criminal lurking in the area and a lovely FBI agent named Allison determined to find this criminal.. Being who he is he sets to find this criminal.
Allison is a strong confident beautiful woman from the FBI. She sets out to capture a criminal in Paraguay. Only she will meet another more dangerous criminal because this is will still her heart.. They come together to work the case but the more they uncovered the more this all becomes more personal.. They each have a reason to get this person which is personal. Things get complicated and extremely dangerous for them but the fact that they are also fighting the attraction between them makes things harder.. He doesn't do relationships or so he says but this one woman has the power no other has ever had.. And she can't help but hate that she is in love with him.. What is to come of them? Will they catch the criminal? Will Allison finally get him forever? Read and find out...The story is truly amazing and will keep you on the edge of yours seats.. Trust me I read page one and could not put it down until the last paste and even then I wanted more...so much more..

Holy Hawtness another smashing series!!! Declan is ex military (but not as ex as we think!) and now runs a foundation helping out in various war-torn, disaster zones, with humanitarian supplies and security. He still has issues from a past trauma and feels the need to constantly compensate for it. On a mission with his team in Paraguay he is helping flood victims when he meets and falls in parental love with a certain spunky 4 year old. She is his personal bright spot and he'll do what he can to save her and her family.

Allison may have arrived with the Red Cross but she is Feeb and on the hunt for Declan, looking for information on the man who ruined his life, his nemesis Hal Rhalstead. She may be working off the clock but she has a real need to find Hal and put him out of business personally. Can these 2 alpha personalities work together, along with Declans team to find the bad guy?

Allison and Declan blaze a trail of sizzling chemistry. They both have issues they need to overcome but I almost burst out laughing at Allie response to Declans declaration that they were in a relationship! She brings a whole new meaning to skittish and he just screams caveman, he wants forever and he just has to get her to see things his way! They may get together over a short period of time but it is an intense period and they really get to know each others strengths and weaknesses.

I can't wait to see the rest of the team meet their other halves. KC is gonna go down fighting when she opens her eyes and heart to one Alliance member I think!!!! Now waiting with bated breath for book 2!!!

Declan by Caitlyn O’Leary was a great 5 star read.
Declan is the spin-off of Navy Seal Midnight Delta Series.

You are pulled in right from the beginning with a nightmare that Declan is having. Declan is a retired army vet who is loyal and protective. He has created the Shadow Alliance to help protect people his way with no rules.
Then he meets Allison, an FBI agent who is searching for someone. They decide to search together and their attraction builds until they can no longer fight it.

“Declan, what just happened?” “I think our bodies just said hello.”

The story really picks up along with their relationship. We learn more about Allison's past and Declan is working hard to get her to see that she can be loved and to put her demons behind her. The secondary characters added a great element to the story. Will Declan and Allison complete their mission? Can they find love?

Caitlyn O’Leary does a great job of telling this story and pulling you right in with her writing.
I was on the edge of my seat and couldn’t wait to see what was next. I look forward to reading more from this series and Caitlyn. Thank you for a great read, 1-click and get started today.

Let me just start by saying holy shite! I absolutely loved this book. A freaking great start to a spin off new series.
This is my knew favorite from you. Don't get me wrong I love the Midnight Delta team but I've been in love with Declan since he saved Finn. Okay enough about that let me tell you about this book a bit. Declan set up the Shadow Alliance which a secret group of army men. Declan has been having a really hard time some bad shite went down and innocent people died and it eats at his soul. When on a mission to help the people of a bad flood some FBI agent tracks Declan down. Allison is on her own mission hunting a man who has killed many many innocent people she needs Declan's help. Declan is immediately smitten with the little spit fire. She jumps right in and starts helping the people of the flood. He is impressed. When she finally tells Declan why she's there and it's not a sanctioned mission and who she's after he's agrees to help her. Cause I mean that's their thing unsanctioned missions lol. Alli has been through more than one person ever should. She's hurting and hiding. She doesn't want to like Declan she.doesn't do relationships lol. When everything goes south it's up to them to bring down the bad guy while staying alive. Can Declan convince her that she does do relationships? Can he prove to her he's there to stay? Can they bring down the bad guys before anyone else loses their life? Omg you just don't know how good this book was I couldn't but the dang thing down. Excellent just excellent.

If you are looking for a book that captures your heart and soul are reading the right book.

A devastating flood in Paraguay takes Declan to its land to help flood victims with food water shelter and other things... Declan is one of the founders of The Shadow Alliance, a group of men that are mostly ex military doing work off grid. He is a force to be recon with. While in Paraguay helping others, meets Anna a little girl who warms his heart. Yes he is a strong and confident man but when you read about how he is with this little angel you see the big beautiful heart. She follows him everywhere... But things are not just simple in Declan's world.. Yes he is a puzzle and controlling at times but always with good reason. He has a heart of gold under that tough armor...Now to add to his loss of concentration and being stretched thin there's a criminal lurking and he is determined to find him. An FBI agent named Allison tracks Declan down thinking he has information she can use to help her on a cold case she is working. After much interrogation from Declan he realizes Allie is looking for the same criminal as he is.

Allison is a strong beautiful woman from the FBI. After sharing information with Declan they decide to work together on this case. The deeper they dig the more they realize this case personal to them both. Things become dangerous and makes their growing attraction to each other more complicated.

I really enjoyed these characters and the plot. No cliffhangers.

Declan by Caitlyn O'Leary is an amazing rollercoaster ride of intrigue, suspense, and a down right old fashioned spy novel with a great big love story thrown in. This book is the first in her Shadow Alliance series and I for one cannot wait until the next one. Declan is not a civilian and is not longer a military man by his own word. He is one big alpha badass who is all about loyalty and justice with a big soft heart thrown in. You know right where you stand with Declan and once he calls you friend you have a protector for as long as you need one whether you want one or not. He doesn't do relationships but he is in for a rude awakening when he meets FBI agent Allison.
They meet while in Paraguay helping flood victims and he has information about a cold case of his. Declan knows something isn't guide on the up and up with Allison but she intrigues him. The closer they work together the bond that neither one wants to admits to continues to grow and strengthen. This books has all of the intrigue and plot twists you could ever want with a really hot love story thrown in. If you want strong sexy alpha military men and even stronger independent strong minded women Caitlyn O'Leary is the author for you. Her books never cease to entice and excite me and you are always guaranteed a happy ending.

Never call Declan a civilian, he has the background to prove it and he is a man that hold his responsibilities to his Shadow Alliance to the extreme, but if you are one of his, you have found a home!
The team is in Paraguay on assignment but also to help with the devastated flood victims, when the unexpected happens to walk in with all the signs of Agency in a sassy, smart, and sexy package.
Allison is FBI and is working off the books in an investigation that involves Declan and one of his team members that is presumed dead. Declan knows she is onto something and decides to join forces whether she likes it or not. Will she find something more in the handsome, overprotective, sensitive, alpha male and will Declan and Allison find that something in each other to make them whole?
Sit back and relax into this new series that branches off from the Midnight Delta series because this is one of those books you don't want to put down, with smart, sexy characters that have big hearts and are always running towards danger. I always look forward to seeing what author Caitlin O'Leary has running through that thought provoking mind of hers!

Star Rating: 4 stars

Allison, an FBI agent who is by accounts beautiful. She is arriving in Paraguay to help with a case and is supposed to meet Declan.

Declan the owner of Shadow Alliance, is in Paraguay helping with flood victims and is supposed to meet with an FBI agent.

Overall this was a good read and even though I needed to reread a few things a few times I did enjoy. This one was enjoyable especially the dynamics between Declan and Allison.

The best part of this book is allison and declan when he tells her that they are "together". I could go on and on and type out more but I don't do spoilers and....I may or may not be being watched while I type this review, yep! I never thought I would enjoy this book but I did.

This is the first book in the Shadow Alliance series, and the first time I have read any of this authors work. I was not disappointed, and I will defiantly be 1-clicking more of her work.
This is a story of control freak Declan, who is one of the founders of the Shadow Alliance, and strong, feisty, yet vulnerable, Allison who works for the FBI. When these two are brought together to work on a cold case, the chemistry is hot, hot, hot!!
This storyline is full of suspense, danger, passion, and romance. This author has done an amazing job in writing this story, and I highly recommend her work for all.

Excellent adventure!

I love this new series and can't wait for the next one to see what happens with the team. Caitlyn always writes such great men!!!! I loved Allie and KC. Their friendship reminds of my own friends. I laughed and worried all the way through this book. The ways the team interacts reminds me of a group of guys i knew . the romance portion was perfect. Not too much but enough you got that Declan and Allie connected very well. It was a light fast read and i enjoyed it.

Declan is such a wonderful leader!

Declan is on a mission to help as much as he can in as many places as he's needed, along with his team, as atonement for a military assignment that went horribly wrong. He's also hunting - and soon to be hunted by - the man responsible for betraying his team and causing the horrific mistake. As this story opens, he and his team are helping flood victims in Paraguay.

There, he's approached by an FBI agent asking questions about that failed mission and the man at fault. Allison Davies has her own reasons for hunting the same man, but she also recognizes the need right in front of her and pitches right in to help wherever she can.

The investigation continues as they return to the States. Declan is keeping Allie by his side, and as they get to know each other their soul-deep attraction becomes a solid relationship. I loved that Declan was over-the-top protective and controlling, but for all the right reasons, and I absolutely loved that Allie saw right through him to recognize what his true motives were.

There's quite a lot of action in this story, both from the natural disaster in the first part of the book and from the pursuit and take-down of the villains. It's all done with a solid emphasis on good vs. evil, and written so vividly that the reader feels every tense moment, every emotion as the characters do.

The relationship Dec has with his teammates is brilliantly written, hilarious at times, and always heartwarming. I hope the author writes more about these wonderful characters and their interactions. There's so much heart in this book; it was a real joy to read. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I was going to give 4.5 stars but whilst writing this review and realising I couldn’t remember the reason why one of the characters was investigating the perpetrator, I changed this to 4 stars. I read this as part of the Recipe for Danger anthology.
There are a lot of characters in this book, it was hard to keep up with who was who at times. Keeping in mind this is the first book in a series, I felt like I was reading in the middle of a series with how much was going on, the clues, the threats, how fast and far apart each incident was happening and the location kept jumping from place to place.

Declan is amazing with kids and OCD about where everyone on his team, The Shadow Alliance, is. We find out that about his one failed mission where he gave the order for a drone strike on a bunch of civilian houses due to false information he had been fed by someone who has a vendetta against him under the name of Rhalstead. After the incident, he discovers the lifeless body of a little boy in one of the buildings and that has left him with a lasting impact. He constantly worries where everyone is and needs to be able to reach his people on the phone.

Allison is an FBI agent following up on an off the books investigation into Rhalstead because....? Something about her mentor and recruiter, Tina.... and so that’s why she’s tracked down Declan in Paraguay. I was going to look through the book again and find out what it was but since it’s in an anthology, it’s just too much work to go back and look for that tidbit of info. So I guess the reason wasn’t memorable enough amongst the whole story. *shrug*

Too many things happening but I was pulled by the relationship of Declan, Allison and a little 4 year old in Paraguay.

*** I voluntarily reviewed this book, I gained no monetary incentives nor was I specifically requested to review the book, these are my honest ramblings and I hope you enjoy reading them - kat***

Declan McAllister and his team Shadow Alliance are on a mercy mission to save the flood victims in Paraguay, Declan is the best type of book boyfriend, an Alpha Male who has a heart, loyal to a fault and he has his demons that make him try to do the right thing. which all in all makes him a great character.

FBI Agent Allison Davies tracks him down to discuss what he knows about a traitor that was on his team one fateful mission - the result of his traitorous actions haunt Declan every day.

With lots of 'sigh' moments when he is looking after the flood victims, to when he is gently trying to get through the walls of Allison's heart <3 and she has some big walls to crack. Allison's backstory was tragic but she rose above them and turned into the perfect partner for Declan.

The sparks fly and the pair team up to track down the supposedly dead traitor, along with Allison's friend and the rest of Shadow Alliance, its a cat and mouse game to who will outwit whom.

I do not want to say too much about the book, but the story kept me gripped to my kindle, Ms. O'Leary's writing style creates a vivid picture of both suspense and action.

Declan and Allison make a great pair both in the field and romanticly and I will be checking out the next book in this new series, as I don't want to miss out on their next mission.

Declan and Allie's story. Declan, former military intelligence and Allie, an FBI agent, clashed as two very strong characters. That clash turned to respect, admiration and passion.

Romantic suspense is tough to pull off but this is a sweet book emotionally balanced by the challenges the two MCs face. The blurb explains the story well, my focus in this review is on how I felt about it.

It's an appealing story with a slightly sluggish execution. At times, the author was too descriptive. It detracted from the story and the characters were a little under developed. A little editing and the author trusting the reader more to "get it" without pointing it out and the writing would be great.

I enjoyed the MCs back and forth, push and pull. Allie was a worthy partner for Declan. Maybe there was a bit of insta-love but you live life fast in tragic circumstances. Their commitment to helping, respecting and honoring others felt real. Declan's dedication to children and his reasons for this were both heart-warming and heart-breaking.

And, the suspense was a nice slow build. The climax, however, was a little flat. Once the bad guy's identity was revealed, that piece of the story moved too quickly to conclusion.

Overall, a sweet easy read for all those, like me, who like a happy ending.

As a big fan of Caitlyn O’Leary, Declan (Shadow Alliance Book1) has been on my to-read list for a while and I just wish I gotten to sooner because I thoroughly enjoyed it. The story focuses on Declan and Allison, former Army Ranger and FBI Agent who come together to solve a years old case affecting them both.

Declan is a complete control freak but I adored him, it’s his mission to take care of everyone, he’s surrounded by his team who mostly tolerate his control issues because they know he loves them, they have helped get him to where he is today having created Shadow Alliance to make the world s better place.

Allie is a strong, kickass woman despite the traumas of her upbringing. Declan pretty soon knows Allie is it for him, Allie because of her past ‘doesn’t do relationships’ but their chemistry is undeniable.

The story is entirely written as Declan’s narrative which works well. There is plenty of action, adventure and danger, cyber intrigue and a whole host of interesting characters (including old friends from Midnight Delta) interwoven with the developing relationship between Declan and Allie to keep everyone happy. Hopefully the whole team are going to get their own stories sooner rather than later as they are great characters - I can’t wait. Great story.

Marie's Tempting Reads ARC Review:

Caitlyn O' Leary has done it YET AGAIN! She created a brand new book in a brand new series that I fell in love with in less than 5 minutes! Declan was everything I hoped for and more! He was protective and smart, and dominating and wonderfully sweet and passionate. He is the exact kind of alpha male I come to expect and love in a romance by Miss O' Leary. And Allison was a beautiful, caring, smart, fiesty, and just as passionate, she fit Declan to a T and I couldn't of been more thrilled to watch these two together.

Other than the wonderful romance, the story and plot is perfectly suspenseful. Caitlyn writes some of the BEST suspense romances out there. Her work can rival Susan Stoker any day. I loved it! And you can tell with each turn of the page, that this story had everything. Romance, suspense, danger, passion, SEXY-HEART-MELTING scenes and much much more.

Declan deserves a TEN! But since a TEN STARS is not available, I will give this a WONDERFULLY SEXY FIVE SHOOTING STARS! You can't go wrong with a book by Caitlyn O' Leary and this beautiful crossover series will win you over too.

This was a great story, but it could have used a little more depth. The characters well written. I know this is book one and I'm sure the other characters get more developed in the coming books, but Declan and Allison just felt like they needed a little more as well.

There was no "fluff" and no filler. Everything written was needed, but it did have a slight feel of missing something.

Declan is super sweet and Allison is a bada**. They have been through some very traumatic experiences in their younger years that shaped them into the capable adults they are now.

Declan's company and team do some amazing humanitarianism projects and travel all over the world wherever help is needed.

I couldn't connect to the characters, but I did understand them, for the most part. The banter between the group was wonderful and didn't feel forced. A nice, relatively light read.

Grab your copy! A Happily Ever After may be waiting.

Declan is former Army Intelligence, a doer, the guy you need to help out in time of crisis. While working his latest crisis he meets Allison Davies and FBI agent that goes out of her way looking for him and distracts him for his current purpose by bringing him news of a ghost from his past he’d very much like to catch.
First, I’m not a real fan of anything military related or spin offs, but the blurb for this book really drew me in and I was very ready to meet Declan. Unfortunately, this book didn’t do it for me. It didn’t take off and I read the whole thing without any emotion, just waiting to see where it’d take me. I didn’t see any actual character development and maybe it would have worked better if I’d read the books this new series is spinning off from.

Declan- Shadow Alliance Book 1

What an amazing beginning to the Shadow Alliance series with Declan finally finding a woman he could truly love Allison, an FBI agent who he met in Paraguay. She went there to track him down because he had information about Rhalstead, a terrorist that needed to be captured or killed. He had killed so many people and Declan wanted him to be captured as well. This story was non stop action and romance as the Shadow Alliance crew, along with Allison, her friend fellow FBI agent, KC and even some Midnight Delta SEALs helped solve the mystery of who Rhalstead was so they could take him down. Declan and Allison's love story was so romantic as well and they got their happily ever after. I cannot wait to read the next release in the Shadow Alliance series because this book was so fantastic.

Loved this book.
Allison works for the FBI but she is working off the books right now. She searches out Declan for information on from Declan's past who he has been trying to get for years. Declan is a control freak and needs to know where everyone is at all times. Allison does things that drive him insane with worry. Declan is just trying to protect everyone, whether they need it or not. Neither has done relationships in the past but can Declan convince Allison that she really does do relationships and that they have a chance together when this is all said and done? Can Allison let go of her past and believe Declan when he says she is beautiful because as a child she was always told she was just plain. Can Declan find the real reason that she is so scared of a relationship?

Declan (Shadow Alliance Book 1) Wow what an incredible read!

Caitlyn O'Leary has done it again. As an Army Special Forces Ranger was betrayed by one of his own but why. This story and the twists and turns will keep you reading late into the night. Ms O'Leary has created characters you want to get to know better. Declan is the first book in the Shadow Alliance series. I certainly hope that their are more books to come. A couple of the Midnight Delta SEAL's turn up to help.
I love all of the books written by Caitlyn O'Leary. Declan ranks at the top of my FIVE star reads list. Thank you Caitlyn for sharing your characters and wonderful stories with us.

Declan has a soft side that he likes to hide, but when children are involved. He finds himself having many godchildren around the world. While helping flood victims, having a four year old that follows him, he can’t help but think about and past missions.
FBI agent Allison sent to Paraguay with the Red Cross, to meet Declan. The person who both of them of them want is Hal Rhalstead. Both this dangerous criminal off the street.
Working together brings these two close and the chemistry between them is hot. Trust me you will enjoy Allison’s reply to Declan about their relationship.

Danger, romance, humour and the Shadow Alliance team will have you hooked.
