The police have warned Jesus Creek folk that the town is on the Night Terror's itinerary, but thanks to the confabulations over the imminent St. Patrick's Day celebration, no one has time to stew over a madman who kills pretty blondes.
The only immediate consequence is that clever Kay -- Jesus Creek poet, waitress, and purveyor of cosmetics -- seizes the opportunity to promote her Lady Mystique Bashful Brunette hair color. But when she finds a pentagram and the words You Next carved into her front door, Kay feels the chill of the hunted.
When there's yet another murder, this one signed with the familiar pentagram, the Night Terror becomes Kay's personal horror, a constant nightmare from which she cannot seem to awaken....

I really enjoyed this 3rd in the series......I like the way Deborah Adams blends witty remarks and the mystery of who-done-it. The book was spoilt for me by someone on Goodreads who told in the comments who the killer was. So annoying when people don’t put spoiler alerts and I then had to read the book knowing who the murderer was......
Another enjoyable read by Deborah Adams. As I was reading the suspect list was growing and the one you least expect would be the murderer. Who would have thought someone would go through a loaf of bread to commit his next murder? Deborah Adams knows how to give you some giggles through her books.
Below average entry in this southern / cozy mystery series. The "gimmick" is having the same small town setting but changing the main character for each entry. Jesus Creek, TN series - The police have warned Jesus Creek folk that the town is on the Night Terror's itinerary, but thanks to the imminent St. Patrick's Day celebration, no one has time to stew over a madman who kills pretty blondes. Kay has put together a series of little jobs--waitressing at Eloise's diner, renting a room in her house to high school counselor John, selling poems to magazines. But her life is disrupted when a new man comes to town--Eloise thinks they'd be the perfect match--and when news of a serial killer, the Night Terror, indicates he's headed straight to Jesus Creek. Kay doesn't feel targeted, since she doesn't fit the Night Terror's profile, until a pentagram is found on her door and the chief of police tells her she's perhaps been chosen as a potential victim by a group of local Satanists.
