She currently owns a Morgan mare, Robin, who is being clicker-trained to be a trail and pasture-dressage horse. She lives in a small, off-grid house in the woods with husband Michael J. Very short. Sweet and exciting, both. Exactly what a horse story for a girl reluctant reader should be. Illustrations an homage to the master, Wesley Dennis. I'd love to read more in the series.

I read this last night along with the other three books in the Beware series. I must admit I was quite curious as to what was the "bad" secret about Beware, if any. Because she certainly seemed like the perfect horse! And Lily certainly wants her, to keep her. But what is the nasty habit she has??

I must admit the answer was a surprise! And it has to do with horse behavior too. I have not seen this particular behavior yet but I guess it would indeed be intimidating. Especially if you are a kid like Lily.

A very horse centered story clearly written by someone who knows horses.
