“Are you all right?” There is a concerned expression on Nora’s face as she reaches up to touch the area above my left ear. Her slender fingers are gentle on my scalp. “Does it still hurt?”
Her touch sends pleasure streaking down my spine. I want this from her. I want her to care about my well-being. I want her to love me even though I stole her freedom—even though, by all rights, she should hate me.
I have no illusions about myself. I’m one of those men they show on the news—the ones that everyone fears and despises. I took a young woman because I wanted her and for no other reason.
I took her and I made her mine.
I make no excuses for my actions. I feel no guilt either. I wanted Nora, and now she’s here with me, looking at me like I’m the most important person in her world.
And I am. I am exactly what she needs now . . . what she craves. I will give her everything, and I will take everything from her in return. Her body, her mind, her devotion—I want it all. I want her pain and her pleasure, her fear and her joy.
I want to be her entire life.
“No, it’s fine,” I say in response to her earlier question. “It’s almost healed.”
She pulls her fingers away, and I catch her hand, not ready to forego the pleasure of her touch. Her hand is slim and delicate in my grasp, her skin soft and warm. She tries to tug it away reflexively, but I don’t let her, my fingers tightening around her small palm. Her strength is insignificant compared to mine; she can’t make me release her unless I chose to let her go.

Then I stand up, still holding her hand, and lead her to the bedroom at the back of the airplane.

5 Dark Soulmate Stars
OMG this book was better than the first one and that is really saying something. I am going to try to keep this review shorter so I don't give away any real spoilers. I loved getting Julian's pov. I feel like this book was much darker than the first one. A 5 on my dark scale which is the highest dark rating. So know going into this book it's really dark at points. I loved the evolution of Julian and Nora's relationship. No longer Captor/ captive Nora chose to go with Julian this time. It really helped getting to know what was going on in Julian's mind. It made some of his actions more forgivable. I loved the secondary characters Lucas , Rosa, and Peter. I loved that Nora decided to take control of her life...... well in all areas but where Julian's concerned. She trained with Julian, she learned guns, fighting, and kicked some ass. The last half of the book was crazy. There was some torture in this book that made me squirm a bit. Overall I loved this book and can't wait to see what happens next!

This story keeps getting better and better! i'm re-reading it now and i absolutely love it. if you haven't read it and you love dark romance you should check this one out! i loved this one more than i loved the first book, Twist me mainly took place on the private island it focused solely on Nora and Julian and their sex life! Keep me is full of action and suspense, never ending twists and turns, simply AMAZING.
“Will you ever let me go?” I murmur, remembering our long-ago conversation. His lips twitch in a faint smile. He remembers too. “No,” he replies softly. “Never.” We lie in silence for a few moments, and then he asks quietly, “Do you want me to let you go?” “No, Julian.” I close my eyes, a smile curving my own lips. “Never.”

I want you to be forewarned, this is a series with dark elements, including rape, physical violence and psychological/physical abuse…. I must say this book not for the faint hearted…… I would like to also mention the fact that you will at times will be thinking as you read this Book WTF is wrong with her…… I just think after you read this book, you’ll understand why Julian is the way that he is? From his upbringing and such forth…. So, if totally possible, try not to throw your Kindle across the room like I did and crack it.
Nora had tasted her freedom, and she truly tried to live her life without Julian dictating her every move.
Four long, excruciating months, Nora had been forcing herself to be strong, to get on with her life and try to forget the man
The man who stole her freedom.
The man that She both desires and fears
All she could remember is the pleasure he gave her; I believe Nora has forgotten the darker side of Julian………. But no worries, he will soon remind her
Julian has finally come back to reclaim Nora, she goes with him willingly, but Either way He was taking her, Like it or not!
There’s no turning back now, no possibility of changing her mind! Of course, it wouldn’t have mattered if she had been unwilling. She knows that the outcome would’ve been the same regardless. It’s futile to fight against one’s destiny, and she starting to accept that fact that their separation hasn’t changed him one bit. On the contrary, I believe he got worse. They settled into his father’s compound in Colombia. They settled into an domestic bliss together…… mind you, neither one of them knew what the heck they were doing. But they tried.
Julian’s obsession became beyond real. his fear of losing her is starting to border on the pathological….. the renewed terrorist threat is just a pretext, a convenient excuse for Julian to do what he’s probably been planning to do all along. Julian wants to put tracker on her
Just like in the previous book, you will see that there is so much sexual darkness in this Read. You will also find. Other aspects of darkness in this book. I mean, come on, the man is a worldwide Arms dealer, who deals with all types of different criminals. But the one that will stick out the most in your mind in this book is A particular terrorist cell (Al-Quadar ). And the head of the Al-Quadarterror cell is just as dark or darker than Julian, if that is totally possible.

**4.5** Julian is still a scary, gorgeous, manipulating a-hole.
I like to feel her cuddled against me, all soft and trusting. She knows my true nature, yet she still feels safe with me. I have trained her to feel that way. I have made her love me.
However, he allows a slightly softer side of himself to show. He's remodeled his childhood compound for Nora and build her a painting room to support her hobby.
Nora is slowly sinking deeper into Julian's web. He controls ever aspect of her life and while it annoys her, she also likes it. She's much stronger than she was in the first book, learning self defense, knife throwing and how to shoot various weapons.
Nora is suffering from nightmares, dreaming about what happened to Beth during their captivity. Since Julian can't control her dreams, this bothers him deeply. I really like the dual POV here, allowing us into Julian's thoughts.
I still can't figure out how Zaires manages to make Julian so likable, I mean there are parts of him I absolutely HATE...but I also love how committed (obsessed) he is with Nora. She is less a possession, even though he calls her "my pet" and more a partner in this second of the series.

I dont have problems with bdsm, at all , I like it. Im very open minded person.
As long as it is consensual.
Because if it's not then it's -no surprise there - a crime.
So..I tried to put myself in heroine shoes, tried to imagine how I could be "trained" if I was just 18 years old and so on..but I failed every time. Cause there is no amount of good sex, money or beautiful body and face in this world that could turn monster to lover in my mind. I can see myself doing (induring) all those things in hope of survival, but to fall in love with someone like that?? ok..let say she is brainwashed. Sure.I get it. But then we have a relationship beetween brainwashed and psycho. Lovely.
And the worst thing is I know there are people in this world that actually went trough similar stuff and fell in love with their abuser. Thats just disturbing. Anyway..after the choking scene I stopped reading..I would have kill him 10 times before that scene already.
So, in short..this is a book about 1 person with serious mental health issues (oh how sexy), the second person is young girl with tendences to be abused.
I can see her in a marriage with the same type of person only less sexy and rich if she is not taken by this perticular psycho. Yes, I belive only certain types of people end up in abusive relationships.
where was I..oh..more equaly fucked up people around them..and some really weird parents.
But whats most disturbing is authors try to make a person likeble trough his rough childhood. Oh people!!!! guess what!! Most of the bad people in this world are bad cause they've had it bad!! Yes!!
Now please, feel sorry for every one of them an invite those who are sexy to sunday lunch!
Who knows maybe you'll fall in love.

3.5 A little darker Stars
It’s been two years since I read the first book, Twist Me. I’m not sure why it took me so long. I think it’s because I got the audio and I waited to listen to it.
For the first time or in a really long time I think I would have liked reading the book a lot more than listening to the audio version.
Here’s the thing with me, I’m not a picky audio listener. I basically can like any narrator, my standards are low because I love listening to books so much, and it’s very hard for me to not jive with a narrator. Also, if the book has dual narrators, which this one does, a male and a female, well it’s even better.
My Audio issues:
I really enjoyed the male narrator. Did I imagine Julian as the narrator was talking, not really, but the narrator had a pleasant voice, it was deep and rich. I didn’t enjoy the female narrator’s voice. What makes a GREAT narrator is the acting, yes there has to be some acting involved, I have to feel the emotions and really believe what you are telling me, for some reason I couldn’t get into Nora’s narrator. It felt fake and I wasn’t a fan of her male voice either. I thought her voice was kind of light and the tone wasn’t meant for this dark erotica book. I think I rather listen to her in a light-hearted book instead.
With all of that said and done, I’m pretty sure I would have enjoyed the book more had I read it instead of listening to it.
Keep Me is the second book in the Twist Me series. Book 2 of any series are very hard to read because you question if the author can continue to give you a good story without the fluff. First off, there’s plenty of steam in this book, so that was good. I felt like I got deeper in the Julian and Nora’s relationship.
I really liked how they grew as a couple. Julian is as possessive as ever and yes please for that. Nora is still a little shy, she wants to stand up to Julian but she basically lets him boss her around, I’m not sure about my feelings towards that, but I take it for what it is.
There’s a lot that goes on in this book especially with Julian keeping Nora safe. I like that the book is a bit darker and more meaningful.
I’m not sure if I will continue with the series, if I do, it will not be the audio version, but I wouldn’t rule out the series just yet. I am a dark book junkie.

It felt fake and I wasn’t a fan of her male voice either. I thought her voice was kind of light and the tone wasn’t meant for this dark erotica book. I think I rather listen to her in a light-hearted book instead.
With all of that said and done, I’m pretty sure I would have enjoyed the book more had I read it instead of listening to it.
Keep Me is the second book in the Twist Me series. Book 2 of any series are very hard to read because you question if the author can continue to give you a good story without the fluff. First off, there’s plenty of steam in this book, so that was good. I felt like I got deeper in the Julian and Nora’s relationship.
I really liked how they grew as a couple. Julian is as possessive as ever and yes please for that. Nora is still a little shy, she wants to stand up to Julian but she basically lets him boss her around, I’m not sure about my feelings towards that, but I take it for what it is.
There’s a lot that goes on in this book especially with Julian keeping Nora safe. I like that the book is a bit darker and more meaningful.
I’m not sure if I will continue with the series, if I do, it will not be the audio version, but I wouldn’t rule out the series just yet. I am a dark book junkie.

This is the second book in the series, following 'Twist Me'. You should read book 1 if you haven't already, so you have the background. There will also be another book coming out. So if you can't stand to wait, you may want to hold off until the series is complete.
This is a series with dark elements, including rape, physical violence and psychological/physical abuse. So, be forewarned. If you love dark, dangerous, taboo reads like I do, this book will probably be right up your alley.
Julian has come back to reclaim Nora, and not a moment too soon! Brace yourselves, ladies! All of that love to hate him, bad-boy appeal is strong as ever. He is one of a very small group of leading males that can turn a wedding into an act of dominance vs. the ultimate show of male submission and domestication.
After months away from Julian, Nora has almost forgotten the darker side of Julian's nature and he is all too eager to reassert his authority over her. I said in “Twist me” review that I don’t know what to think of Julian and I want to understand him better. In “Keep me” I’ve had the chance to go into his mind and see who he is and to be honest, I didn’t really like it what I found. Turns out he’s more cruel than I thought. His lust for violence is more intense, even towards Nora. No matter how much he loves her, he still wants to hurt her, which is not okay with me.
I didn’t like Nora in this book as much as I liked her in the first one. I felt like she lost her fight, she submitted Julian too completely, too easily. She let him control her with too little fight.
I would have liked less sex and more action and development in their relationship. It does have action, however not as much as I wanted.

This series is one of the first dark books I've ever read. Actually, I think it was the second dark book I read and it was just at the right time because I discovered an author I loved and a series of books I'll continue to read whenever I feel the need to mentally go back to a time when everything was peaceful and simple in my life.
Nora and Julian's story is passionate and inspiring to me, especially as a writer myself, Anna's books have caused bombs in my brains and when I hit the keyboard, I hit it hard.

A wonderful and fascinating twisted romance with an in-depth plot, characters that jump off the page and I found myself rooting for them, even in questionable circumstances, because I truly cared about them and their motivations. Overall rating: 4.5 stars.

I love this series. Julian Esguerra is not a nice man he kidnapped Nora because he wanted her. I stayed up all night reading this book I just couldn't put it down and this is one book that I am looking forward to listening to it on audio. Held captive for 15 months Nora Leston an 18 girl from the Midwest fell in love with her kidnapper. After being kidnapped by a terrorist group along with Beth who was killed Nora believes that Julian was killed in an explosion. For four months Nora is lost without him and she didn't know how to start her life over until Julian returns. This book picks up where the last one "Twist Me" left off Julian shows up in the middle of the night to take his Nora. This book to me is better than the first one and I really loved the first one. In this book we get to here both of their POV and I loved that. This book we also get to hear and understand why Julian is the way he is how he grew up with a horrible father and a mother who was too afraid to stand up for him. In this book you get to see how Nora has grew into a strong person although she is still unsure if Julian loves her, which he does he just has never felt or received love before she knows that he wants and needs her and that he is never letting her go and you also see that she loves Julian for who he is a sadistic monster that bring out the masochistic in her and she loves it. This book had a few twist in it that I won't give away but I loved the first one and I loved how he did it. This book had some very hot sex scenes in it I mean the book had me "throbbing". I loved that Nora was able to tell Julian what she needed and that she was able to stand up to him although it didn't do her any good I love a man that takes what he wants and doesn't apologize or feel any guilt for doing it. This book was very well written and I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series so Ms. Zaire please make it early 2015. If you love to read dark erotic non-con I highly recommend this series I will even loan it to you. I have read a few series where the second book is not as good as the first one this one is NOT one of those.

Finallyyyy. This took forever to finish and although I was very excited to read it, things didn’t pan out as I thought they would... which disappointed me a lot.
I don’t know if it was that I had really high expectations for this one, but Nora disappointed me big time. After the end in the first book and her choosing to go with him, I was hoping their relationship would change, evolve and grow, but I didn’t see any of that here.
Their relationship in Twist Me was so complicated that I could see, because of Stockholm Syndrome, how she would say she loved him despite the shitty way he treated her, and not knowing him enough. But here? I mean c’mon. Now she knows everything he does and that he does it because he likes it, because it makes him feel alive. She loves him still? Fine. But don’t go blindly with whatever Julian says. Don’t rationalize everything he does, ESPECIALLY if he doesn’t say or show that he’s sorry for the way he’s mistreating you. And mistreat her he does.
At some point in the book, she gets mad because a CIA agent refers to Julian abducting her as a “misadventure” and it’s funny to me that she would get mad about someone saying that but would not talk to Julian about how getting kidnapped and raped made her feel. I just feel like Nora could talk to Julian about how these things made her feel, about how some things he does hurt her and see if he’s willing to work on them. He doesn’t want to? Well, at least you tried, at least now you know the kind of person you married, which if I might add, she also didn’t fight, even though she didn’t want to marry him.
Because of all of this and more, I simply couldnt bring myself to read the third installment in the series. It felt like things could only go south from here and I am so mad at Nora I simply can't bring myself to see just how far she'll go the defend a deeply mentally disturbed person. I just can't.

Nora Leston is my obsession, the way I need her is something I never felt before. Yes I kipnapped her because I wanted her and I get whatever I want. Now I have made her love me and crave only me and that is how I want it. However now my enemies knows she is my weakness and they will do anything to get to me through her.

I am loving this series. I can’t believe it took me this long to read this author’s books. Julian is an absolute crazy man who is obsessed with Nora. Nora is just as obsessed as him at this point. On to the last book of their story.

This was me after the first book so that I needed to read the second one.

I can't deny though that once again
I would like to warn you that this is not for everyone, there is Stockholm Syndrome and in some ways, as people always perceive things differently not all of it is consensual.
This is the second book in the series and it picks up right where the last one finished. The island isn't safe anymore and after Beth's death it just isn't the same either. Julian survived the warehouse explosion and this time Nora has gone willingly with Julian. Columbia is the new/old to fortress that used to belong to his father. Protected from all the enemies that Julian has.
I liked the dynamics more of this relationship then in book 1. Although I've given it less stars. I'll tell you on further in my review.
Some parts of the book were really hard to read because of the emotional turmoil and Nora's feelings and emotions. I mean I cried on the effing tram at six o'clock in the morning on the way to work and I like to add I don't cry due to the fact that I'm an ugly crier back on to my review. I don't mind reading out of my comfort zone and sometimes it is even refreshing.
Julian is obsessed with Nora to the point that he forces her hand to marry him with the threat of killing Jake again. He also plants trackers on her which makes him feel better. Not one but three.
“Instead of a deluded psycho who thinks he's doing the right thing, my new husband is simply a man without conscience”
The obsession runs so deep that he can't recognize the twisted love that he has for Nora.
“The desire to possess her is violent, all-consuming. It’s an obsession that goes beyond a simple sexual need, though my body burns for her. I don’t just want to fuck her; I want to imprint myself on her, to mark her from the inside out, so that she will never belong to any man but me. I want to own her completely.”
My mind was battered with all the emotions and it was hard to comprehend Julian. I loved that we got his point of view. Which I was intrigued about since I first read book 1.
They have a twisted love which I think only they understand.
“Will you ever let me go?” I murmur, remembering our long-ago conversation. His lips twitch in a faint smile. He remembers too. “No,” he replies softly. “Never.” We lie in silence for a few moments, and then he asks quietly, “Do you want me to let you go?” “No, Julian.” I close my eyes, a smile curving my own lips. “Never.”
There isn’t really anything majorly that I can nitpick about this book but I mean come on Julian was in a warehouse explosion in book 1 and then in book 2 he survives a plane crash I mean come on really? Not bloody liking to be honest.
It’s like the dude is Super Julian *cough* I means superman of course.
So hate me all you want but I won't change my mind on that one.

Julian goes and takes Nora back after she thought he was dead. They go to his homeland if Columbia. While they were separated for those four months, they were both faithful to each other (he knows that because he made sure to have her followed and spied on 😅)

Disappointed
I really liked the first one and was excited to read this one but it fell way short of what I expected. It started off really good but as the story went on it became just jumbo of scenes that I felt were filled in to finish. Ugh. So disappointing.

You know what? This book is perfect. I think this book is better than the first one.
I freaking love this series. It gave me chills, excitement, and a lot of sexy time. Julian and Nora always give me the feels! They are adorable in a twisted kind of way. So perfect. I can’t wait to read the last book!

I'm still wondering what the heck is wrong me. I am really enjoying these books... as twisted as they are, I am still enjoying them. Nora is taken for over a year in the first book. She is held captive by an arms dealer on a remote island with no way to get off the island. And she grows to love her captor. And the scary thing is, I grow to love her character as well.
At the end of the first book, you are left with the assumption that Julian died in the explosion near the end of the book. As the second book begins you are with Nora who is back at home trying to live her life without Julian. You can feel her sadness and heartbreak as she misses the man she is love with. Then, Julian shows back up and takes her away again. This time to the family compound in Columbia.
I love that Nora has a bit more fight in her. She is stronger physically as well as mentally. I enjoyed getting to know her a bit more. She is twisted, as I must be for enjoying these books so much! Julian is still very forceful and she loses when she tries to fight him on things, but at least she fights. I love to see that. And Julian is still the same sadist, overbearing yet loving at times guy that I hate to love, but can't seem to help myself. He forces her into marriage, forces implants/trackers to be implanted. He frustrates and angers me, but I still adore him. Yep, she is sick and so am I; I'm convinced of it.
