"Blythe. I want to come home. It's time. It's way past time. I need to come home. Let me come home, baby. I swear if you do, I'll spend the rest of my life loving you better than anyone else ever could." -Viktor Prakenskii

***
There comes a time when i simply have no words to form or express. It takes my head hours of going around my home to write that special review to a wonderfully special book i have read, but then i just sit down and pour my heart out dramatically in those reviews. There was a reason i started "Drake Sisters" series and its spin-off "Sisters of the Heart".It was just so i could read this book,"Bound Together" which is the last and sixth instalment in the Paranormal "Sisters of the Heart"-series.This is the Finale where everything ties together into a sinful bliss of second-chance of love, wicked sensuality, heartbreaking angst,hard-core action and incredible magic."Bound Together" wasn`t easy to read at all.It grasps a very dark topic about human traficking and victims of sexual abuse. The author shows the dark reality and she does it so raw and honestly through this story.

Blythe Daniels have always been the oldest and the leader among the sisters of the heart, and were there and supported every sister throughout their griefs. She is a empath and can feel every emotion in a room and sooth their intense emotions. She is also a cousin to the Drake sisters but have always been distanced towards them and i was really curious about that. This book explains about it all, living with a abusive alcoholic mother and a step-father that creeped her out, undercover assassin Viktor Prakenskii steals her heart and she marries him..never knowing he had the mission to eliminate her pedophile step-father.What happens hereafter totally made me feel sorry for her,i never realized how deep her demons were since she always was calm in front of her sisters.I love Blythe for her compassionate soul, and the way she took in Viktor`s war-brothers he had grown up with in that disgusting perverted school.

I will admit i started all the series about"Sea Haven" just because i had heard great things about Viktor Prakenskii as a hero and i was dying of curiosity.Viktor Prakenskii is the oldest Prakenskii brother and the ULTIMATE alpha-male and a primitive savage, more cold and broken than any of his brothers. He was THE Phantom`s of the phantoms,THE warrior amongst the vicious warriors and THE ruthless and masterful assassin taking on the hardest missions that could last him years at the cost of his humanity.I just can`t take what he went through in the most brutal of the schools, raped, beaten and tortured by all those pedophiles when he was just a kid.Watching them do the same to all those other childrens, boys and girls in front of him. They always held a photo of his baby brother Ilya Prakenskii over his head just so he was forced to do whatever they wanted.Prakenskii became their leader at the age of 10 and they formed a band called Torpado Inc.They have strong loyalty towards each other and are like brothers and sisters. No wonder such stark hatred and rage was caught inside him.Once a Prakenskii find the woman of his life its impossible for him to leave her-unless he has a very powerful reason for that.

In the former book we got to know that Viktor and Blythe are married, but for whetever reasons Viktor had to leave her.Its been five years since they have seen each other and all that time Viktor was in a undercover mission to take down the world`s largest human traficking.By some reason his letter and messages that he sent all those five years never got to her and for that she assumed he had abandoned her.In this book he comes back to Blythe in Sea Haven. Its a intense reunion that took my breath away. All these years and Viktor had stayed faithful to his wife, missing her every second everyday. He will have to fight for her trust to take him back into her life.Viktor`s darkness mixed with Blythe`s light made for a delicious combination, both are fiery and passionate together as lovers and partners.Every emotion of passion, love and anger and sorrow took me by storm and i consider Blythe and Viktor THE COUPLE of all couples.

I was happy to meet all the Drake sisters again and their men.I had missed Elle and Jackson and Hannah and Jonas, especially watching all seven Prakenskii brothers come together in this Finale. They all had been separated when they were just kids and sent into different schools by the russian government to become lethal spies and assassins. They never could meet each other since for fear of putting each other lives on danger. They may have never known each other, but they still protected each other from a distance.I am happy they got to meet the women of their lives destined for them.I know there is another spin-off series about "Torpedo Inc" about Viktor`s war-brothers he grew up with,i am really intrigued by Reaper,Savage,Ice and Alena-they also make me worried since they are so far off from society.Thank you Christine Feehan for this wonderful series and its tie to the Drake sisters-all books are keepers and 5-stars.I love every book with everything i am and consider these series one of the best i have ever read!

Viktor Prankenskii never planned on falling in love and even though he was on the job, undercover he fell hard for Blythe Daniels. But her step father was the man who was evil and needed to be taken down and unfortunately he had to leave before he could explain himself except for one letter that she never received. It has been five years and Viktor is coming for Blythe along with bringing the men and women whom he saved. But there is a enemy, a man who is hunting Blythe's cousin Elle and her husband Jackson. He knows he must get there first and set a trap for the one enemy he has been hunting for years. But he also has a wife, who was abandoned for five years and he must repair things with Blythe. He knows that she is exactly what he needs and what his adopted family need, but will Blythe let him into her heart again....
The Hero
Viktor Prankenskii, is the last of the brothers. He is the oldest of them, and is the one that suffered the most. He sacrificed so they could be sent to less dangerous schools. Viktor lost his parents when he was seven years old, and was torn away from his younger brothers whom he vowed to protect. He was sent to the most horrid of schools, where only eighteen survived out of a couple hundred children. Only by forging a strong bong with the other children were they able to survive. Viktor along with the others suffered unspeakable acts and have barely regained their humanity. Killing is the only thing that they know. And even though they direct it at the evil of the world, they are not easy to be around and very dangerous. Viktor is a hero that is very rough around the edges. Blythe taught him love and affection and strength. Viktor is a hero that goes after what he wants no matter the cost. Very formidable but he has vulnerabilities that win you over very quickly.
The Heroine
Blythe never knew how hard it would be to lose Viktor years ago, to feel betrayed and not knowing why he left her with no word especially after all they shared and what was worse was what she lost later that she still keeps a secret from her adopted sisters. A moment in time she wishes she could forget because of the grief it causes her. Blythe is a kind and giving woman, she likes open spaces and the peace and quiet. She not only feels betrayed by Viktor but by her family who sided with her mother instead of her. Blythe keeps to herself, she feels a strong bond with the others, but doesn't know if she can ever share her true past with them. Blythe was such a strong character and I loved her instantly. She has this quiet courage that is so admirable and I love the way she handled Viktor and his unique "family" of adopted brothers and sisters.
Plot and Story Line
Bound Together the final installment of the Sisters of the Heart sisters has come to a conclusion. And you know this one might be my favorite one, although its a hard tie with the others. But there was something so very different that I wasn't expecting at all. First off, we have a story of a second chance. Our hero has had to work undercover because he is being hunted by the same people who murdered his parents. And he refuses to put Blythe in unnecessary danger. Now its been five years, and things have changed. At first Viktor has to learn a few things, including the fact that Blythe wasn't looked after like he had planned on. And that he has an adopted family, men and women that he will protect at all costs. He knows that they need Blythe. He sees that the darkness overcomes them at time, but he also remembers his wife's goodness and kind nature. And another aspect that I never expect from Feehan is a MC club. Vicktor and his men and two women have created a club. Then on the other spectrum, Blythe is shocked to see Viktor. But she handles it with grace and even though she fears him at times, she also has no clue how she could ever fit in his world. But with typical Feehan style she just makes this story just flow just right and their story becomes one you cheer for. I couldn't put this book down, seeing which way it would turn out and if they would really destroy the villain in the end. I am intrigued by this MC club  though. I wonder if Feehan plans on doing a series based on these men and women? I definitely won't be disappointed if she does. The romance between Viktor and Blythe was poignant and emotional, their story isn't for the faint of heart. There is a moment in this story where they share and are honest with each other, and this is where their story really changes.
She was genuine. Sweet. Protective. Nurturing. Everything he'd never had and didn't know he needed or wanted. It was impossible not to love her. He hadn't known that kind of love existed. Not that fierce, driving need that was so deep, so intense, it shook him every time he looked at her. Every second in her company was sheer paradise.

The "secret" that Blythe has you know pretty early in the story and it sets the tone for the rest of it. It can be heartbreaking at times but what really moved me was the way that Viktor and Blythe lean on each other through their struggles and their triumphs. A Truly spectacular finish to a astounding series you don't want to miss out on.
The Cover
You know I really like this cover. It has a majestic feel with the way it captures the ocean here.

I've been waiting for this book for a long time, but I was also apprehensive. Viktor's cameo in Fire Bound had me thinking he would be a very strong personality and I wasn't sure how he would interact with Blythe. Would he be a jerk and treat her badly because she had moved on with her life without him, or would be he the ideal husband she deserved. I was pleasantly surprised.

Viktor was and will always be a hard man. His experiences have been so extreme that is to be expected. I appreciated that even though he is a ruthless killer, he's also a caring man and he always loved Blythe and was faithful to her. He's also a family man, in his own way. His brothers were separated from him, but he was willing to take on the most horrible work to keep them safe. He was sent to the worst of the spy schools to save his brothers. While he was there, he became a leader to the other kids, protected them and banded them together to keep them alive. As adults, they form a unique family unit together, and eventually a motorcycle club. He has lived in hell, essentially. He sees himself as a fallen angel who has been tasked with removing the vilest of humans from the earth, focusing on human traffickers.

The first fifty or more pages is Viktor and his crew taking out a cell of human traffickers. I don't even think Blythe shows up for the first three or so chapters. That was unusual but it was okay, because we've seen Blythe a lot in the previous Sisters of the Heart/Prakenskii books. And it was important because Viktor had been a man of lore previously. He didn't even show up until "Fire Bound" and that was briefly. Feehan introduces him very dramatically and he lives up to the hype. Actually I loved him. I can't choose my favorite Prakenskii, to be honest, but he definitely stands out for me.

As far as the romance, it's a lovers reunited angle, in which Viktor has to show that he loves Blythe and that they can have a good life together. That he is worthy of her trust. Blythe was always extremely tight-lipped about her past in the other books, to the degree we didn't even known she was married until the fifth or sixth book in the series. The reveal on that makes sense when we find out how complicated her relationship with Viktor actually was.

Blythe has been the calm center of the Sisters of the Heart, and in this book, I realized how hard that must have been, considering her very tortured past. I always liked her, but my respect and admiration grew even wider after this book. She has a very motherly nature, and that drives her to accept Viktor's club into her world, even with all their damage and the darkness of the life they have lived.

For readers who were unsatisfied with how Hidden Currents ended, will be mollified after reading this. Well, at least I was. In fact, I think this book wraps up the Prakenskii/Sisters of the Heart saga very nicely. I do hope we'll see cameos of the women and men from those series in the Torpedo Ink saga though.

Viktor's Torpedo Ink motorcycle club is a very intriguing group of tortured and messed up individuals. They would have to be, since they are all graduates of the horrible school Viktor was forced into by the Russian government. I'm excited to read the books, although also nervous about their dark edginess (especially sexually speaking) will be.

I really enjoyed this book. I definitely felt the love between Blythe and Viktor, and how far they had come to find their happy ending. The love scenes were very sexy but also emotional and loving. Although they did come close to being voyeuristic a time or two, this being played for laughs. When I finished this book, I almost wanted to start it again from the beginning, which is a very good indicator about how much I love a book. I broke down and bought the audiobook recently, so I'm looking forward to listening to it.

Some content warnings for people:

*Graphic violence
*Dark content about sexual abuse/trafficking of women and children
*Content about child abuse
*Mild voyeur/exhibitionism
*Lots of f-bombs

Casting Suggestions:

Clive Standen as Viktor Prakenskii

Katheryn Winnick as Blythe Drake Prakenskii

Well the author brings this series to a close in her own inimitable style. Pairing up those characters from her previous Sea Haven series with those we've learned to love in this her Sisters of the Heart world. It's a culmination of so much that has gone before and yet felt right as it brings about a closure that was long overdue.
The last Prakenskii boy is coming to Sea Haven after five long lonely years without the woman who awakened his heart. Yet there's so much that has happened in those intervening years that Victor will have a fight on his hands to win back Blythe. Blythe has survived loss and tragedy but there's still a fire burning in her , an anger that has never really been appeased. Now Victor is back but the secret life he has led is bringing danger into Blythes home but that's just the beginning of Blythes worries as it's clear Victor is there to finish an undercover job so why should she believe him after all this time?
Well this was an ensemble piece and no mistake . Yes there's a tightly written plot and yes there's a steamy romance within these pages but I thought with so many characters it felt like a lesson in logistics! It was fun catching up with old friends and seeing what's happening in their lives now but all the new ones just had my head spinning. I'm loving the new direction and all the delicious possibilities if the author decides to flesh out her MC idea and note their home would be close to Sea Haven which means old favourites could pop up now and then. Torpedo Ink are without a doubt an intruiging bunch so I look forward to reading more about them .
If you've enjoyed this authors previous work then you will have noticed that her heroes are always domineering men who need to be in charge. Victor is no different and is almost seen as the messiah by those of Torpedo Ink who follow him and indeed his road name is Czar! Around Blythe he is still a control freak but she's ready to slap him down. I did enjoy seeing them reconnect and thought their feelings were palpable but honestly? I'd have liked to see him work a lot harder for her understanding and forgiveness . Their intimate scenes happily do not dominate the book but the word intimate might not apply one hundred percent so you do need to read the book as it's quite humourous at times. I don't particularly associate this author with humour so this lighter touch worked very well.
My final thoughts are there's lots going on as it hurtles to a climax. The new characters overshadowed a lot of the story which meant the romance for this reader whilst good didn't completely direct the storyline. I really enjoyed this but think it's high time Blythe gets a much bigger home!

Bound Together is the last book in Christine Feehan’s Sisters of the Heart series. It features the last Prankenskii brother Viktor and Blythe Daniels. Viktor was sent to one of the worst “schools” in Russia. In order to protect his family he withstood horrible physical, emotional and sexual abuse. At the school he became a role model to the children and they formed unbreakable bonds as they worked to free themselves and seek revenge on those responsible.

Blythe met Victor while he was uncover tracking her step-father, a pedophile. They enjoyed a brief but happy courtship and were soon married. After killing her stepfather, Viktor had to disappear, however he left detailed instructions on how to get in touch with him. Unfortunately Blythe never receives his letter and thinks she has been forsaken.

After a five year separation with no contract, they meet again while Viktor is undercover. Viktor is ready to reclaim his wife. Blythe after being deserted and spending so much time alone is not ready to fall back into Viktor’s arms especially when she realizes he returned for a job, not her, plus he expects her to accept not only him, but his adopted family.

This is one of the better books in this series. I really enjoyed the action scenes with Torpedo Ink. A MC made up of Viktor’s adopted family. The interactions between Blythe and Viktor’s Torpedo Ink brothers created some much needed levity. I hope as this series has ended, we see a new series with Torpedo Ink characters.

A disappointed 2 1/2 - 3 stars for me here

Viktor and Blythe's reunion was heavily hyped up, and this did not deliver. I see most reviews are 4-5 star rating and honestly i tried SO HARD to like this book but it was so bad for me.

I'm mad because I expected a lot more from this book. Viktor was a disappointment. Blythe was a disappointment. Everybody else was amazing as usual.

[SPOILERS]

Viktor is not repentant. He may be guilty - and he is also hurting - but after five long years of being AWOL he goes "you're my wife, i want to come home" with a side note that he is in Sea Haven for a job and seeing Blythe is just a by product. He feels bad, but he still thinks that what he did was right (which was 100% not right) And the Viktor version of groveling is "I want to come home. You love me. Forgive me"
I wanted the man to fucking kneel. Walk through hot coals. Beg for forgiveness. Chase Blythe.

I wanted Blythe the survivor. Blythe the "I survived 5 years without you just fine thank you very much" Instead we have Blythe the doormat. Blythe who says she can't forgive him one minute and then goes to make dinner with him the next...
Blythe who upon seeing Viktor in her bedroom crying (bec he felt guilty) she hugs him and comforts him all lovey dovey and then the next minute she hits the panic button to call on all the brothers - and then admonishes Ilya and Lev for not respecting Viktor. WTF?

Gavriil is clearly the head honcho of the family. Even with Viktor present (and whining "I'm head of the family!") the brothers still follow Gavriil's word. And follow his lead in respecting (?) Viktor. The very present bond between the P brothers did not extend towards Viktor. Even Gavriil and Ilya who had the huge gap bonded the moment they met again. I felt that Viktor did not exhibit any of that bond. He looked and felt like an outsider.
He calls his MC mates "my brothers" in front of his real blood brothers. I found that rude.
And also the certain "sister" pretending to be his old lady - yeah, another turn off.

I'm very angry right now. And I will reread Lexi and Gavriil's book now to make me happy again.

I don’t want it to end!

Protect. Viktor Prakenskii is the undisputed leader of his blood and chosen family and that has driven every choice he made in his life. In his quest he has had to do many things he is not proud of, that he hated to do. Morally, he saw himself as unforgivable but that didn’t mean he couldn’t hope that the brightest light in his life was not forever out of reach. Blythe Daniels remained the love Viktor coudn’t deny for himself and he was going to do whatever he could to get her back….

“I can’t survive losing you twice.”

Viktor, and his Torpedo Ink brethren, have suffered unspeakable violence starting when they were very young. What they went through is hard to read, really hard to read at times, yet the truth it tells is honest and sets the stage for so much. This family was forged in pain and blood and those bonds are strong as they work together towards their goal of freedom and revenge. To do that, they must swallow their disgust and do what they have to, keeping the bigger prize always in their sights. Collateral damage is common but when Blythe is caught up in it, Viktor is determined to fix what was so unintentionally broken…
“Every minute I was with you was the most real I’ve ever been.”

Part action, part thriller, part paranormal, at the heart of this story is love. Love and compassion for those who suffer and are victimized. Unconditional love for family. And passion and devotion for the love that makes life worth living. Roll that all into a beloved cast of characters – both Drakes and Prakenskiis – and this becomes a powerhouse of heart-pumping suspense and heart-melting emotion. Viktor is unwavering in his devotion to his families and to making up for the pain that Blythe as suffered – at his own hands and others. Their connection is beautiful in its refusal to break despite everything that could have easily torn it forever. This author knows how to create a world that I get lost in each and every time. This time, I just wanted to stay forever…

I hear this is the last story in the Sea Haven series but I am hopeful Torpedo Ink will continue as there are so many more stories untold. There are seventeen brothers and sisters that need, have earned and deserve to have their happiness too. I hope this author agrees!! -Diane, 5 stars

This novel is the sixth and final book in Christine Feehan’s Sea Haven series: Sisters of the Heart. Although I have only read the first book in this series, Water Bound, "Bound Together" stands up very well as a stand-alone book. This book was an exciting and emotional read; however, there are elements of the story, pedophilia and human trafficking, that takes the reader out of the realm of romantic adventure as graphic abuse descriptions skirt along the edges of horror.

Unquestionably, when the plot delves into such horrific subject matter, disgusting things happen. But I want happy endings and justice...not just for themes of rape, torture, and abuse to be throw-away plot devices to drive conflict and letting the villains walk off-stage after wrecking savagery onto innocents. I want the evil villains to die painful and hard, especially pedophiles and rapists. I want the badass rescue team to get there in time before (not during or after) an eleven year old little girl has been raped by four grown men and not during a rape scene describing the grunts and slapping of fleshing as a filthy pedophile is raping a sixteen year old boy. Descriptions of bloody condoms and a just-raped teen girls is very disturbing on many levels...mentally, emotionally, and physically.

But what makes this book a five star read is the relationship between Viktor and Blythe. Their journey beautifully explored every nuanced element that makes great character and relationship development. When I read a romance, I want to know more about the characters…who they are as individuals, why they are drawn to each other, and what obstacles they have to overcome to keep their love alive. I want their relationship to have depth and emotional impact. Viktor and Blythe already had a history and five year separation. Due to painful, unforeseen events, their budding marriage was dealt such setbacks that left them a very narrow passage to find their way back to each other.

Usually, after a long separation, especially when the man left to fulfill some duty or for the "good" of the heroine, I want to see some serious crawling-over-broken-glass groveling. But with Viktor and Blythe, I couldn't wait for them to reconcile. In the five years they were separated, there was no manufactured OW/OM drama. Both remained celibate and true to their vows, and Viktor risked his and his brother's lives trying to protect and keep in touch with his beloved Blythe.

Sigh. Viktor is my favorite type of hero…possessive and domineering, but at the same time gentle and supportive of the woman who held his heart and soul. But then, I rarely dislike a book because of the hero. Great heroines are rare to stumble across and for me, I find that nine times out of ten the heroine is the main reason I dislike a book.

Blythe is the exceptional type of heroine that I adore…compassionate, introspective, empathetic, resourceful, and powerful in her own right. Despite the mountain of issues that stand between them, Viktor and Blythe are such amazing people and so well-matched that the reader never stops rooting for them to find their way back to each other. Blythe’s has some awesome powers and unlike Elle Drake, she was shown to be truly powerful in in that her gifts were not easily circumvented by the more powerful male villain. Blythe was shown as strong, resourceful, and steadfast wherein Elle was taken down and taught a painful lesson.

This is a PNR, so of course there was steamy sex but not until a several chapters after the couple reunites. I have no objection to sex between a consenting couple in love and I like sex scenes that are well-written without being vulgar. However, sex scenes should be secondary to the plot and character development; plotting should not serve as spacers between sex scenes. Viktor and Blythe's sex scenes were tasteful and not too numerous.

While I was intrigued enough to consider reading the spin off MC series featuring many of the Torpedo Ink members, I was left with a sense of wariness about entering that world wherein all of the club members are bound by the brutalization they suffered together as children. Reaper and Savage especially are defined by experiences and memories of abject horror that it would very hard to believe in a HEA for either of them. The two sole surviving female MC members, Lana and Alena, also seem broken beyond repair. The lingering mental health issues of these adult survivors of sexual, physical, and emotional trauma is a sobering reminder that no matter how much stronger, resilient, or independent they've become as adults, something dark has touched their souls and no amount of empathy, understanding, or compassion will ever completely restore what was ripped away by their abusers. But, Bound Together left me with an ember of hope and Reaper, Savage, and all the Torpedo Ink members deserve a true happy lives and HEA's of their own.

Nevertheless, it was very heartwarming to see Blythe welcome the three orphaned sisters and the abused teen boy into her loving, generous, and non-judgmental care. Yet as evidenced by a tortured and still fragile Elle Drake, not even the loving arms of unconditional love can completely mitigate the memory of a monster that used them first and left his mark on her body and soul forever.

I received this advanced reading copy to review and overall, I found “Bound Together” to be a well-written, moving novel. The story is balanced by action, adventure, romance, and bonding that makes the reader care about these characters and want to follow the Torpedo Ink cast of characters into the new series.

I thought long and hard about this book! It definitely deserved more stars in my opinion but I was totally not ready for the way story unfold. First of all there was two diff rape scenes in this one and I definitely read 1 or 2 review and nobody mentioned it.! So I never expected this book to contain any dark themes. I was so looking forward to a passionate romantic story with strong characters and equally horrible villain, Christine Feehan’s usual specialities. Maaaan how wrong I was. The story started intriguing with Hero Victor in some sort of mission with his friends come brothers (in which two are ladies). There are 18 of them, survivors of a brutal school which were run by criminals and pedophiles. All of them , I repeat all of them were subjected to brutal rape, beatings and toture. I am no stranger to dark books but I need a warning so that I can prepare my mindset accordingly. Which here unfortunately didn’t happen and as a result I couldn’t fully enjoy the story. Not even the steamy scenes😕. So imagine my surprise when I came across a scene of a little girl (11-12 year old) being gangraped. Here sister was also raped and brutally beaten by all men there and all this happened infront of eachother. The story then move forward but I was still in shock! Then towards the end where a teenage boy was attacked by his pedophile uncle! Ugh..
Still her writing style as usual was flawless and I totally felt heroine Blythe’s pain through what she suffered and she was a very strong character . One extra star for the climax fight. It was superb and the only part I thoroughly enjoyed. I dont know if I will read more books from this series . I think I’ll stick to dark series.

The mysterious brother, Viktor, finally comes back and he’s here to claim his unexpecting wife, Blythe. Viktor Prakenskii got the worst part of the orphanage, his brother’s lives might have been hard but his existence was downright brutal. Anyone who survived that kid of violence would be forever scarred. Viktor doesn’t just come with his destroyed heart but he brings his entire team, members of a MC Club, and a few they’ve rescued along the way. Blythe must find the strength to not only forgive the man she thought abandon her but to also help heal those who need it most.

Feehan has brought the Sea Haven/Sisters of the Heart all together for this action intense battle against the evil that has been perpetrated against the young and the innocent. The evil comes via Jackson's 1/2 brother and the world wide leader of the Swords MC gang. Some new characters also have come into play that I would of loved a little more from but understand this cast pack story left little room for more. I really loved the fact that so many characters are coming together in one story but I did find the subject matter disturbing (especially the child sexual enslavement and exploitation) and telling was some what repetitive. The Queen of Paranormal proves her title once again in Bound Together.

I received this ARC copy of Bound Together from Berkley Publishing Group - Jove. This is my honest and voluntary review. This book is set for publication Mar. 21, 2017.

I'm happy I got this from the library since it borders on ridiculous. I loved the H/h but this wasn't their book. It was more a set up for CF upcoming motorcycle series. CF seems obsessed with having pedophile rings. She keeps adding additional children to the story which takes away from the romance about the H/h.

Many lose ends from previous books were tied up. I would of loved this story if new characters for the upcoming motorcycle series didn't take center stage. The writing was good. So happy the H was kind to the h. He wasn't an abusive ass.

This was absurd minor spoiler

There were parts I loved

This, the final installment of the Sisters of the Heart series and a sort of prequel to the upcoming Torpedo Ink series.
Viktor has been on a mission after leaving Blythe a note she never received and in a marraige she doesn't realize is real. He comes to Sea Haven with his club, undercover and ready to claim his wife and end the mission by killing the man who runs the sex trafficking ring Viktor is trying to stop.
But his challenges are more than a dark and powerful evil, he has to convince Blythe he is worthy of her heart.
I love this couple and their love story. This story can be pretty dark, but the author brings in moments of humor and love enough that it balances out.
There's a lot of action and of course Sea Haven wouldn't be Sea Haven without the Drakes. The title is perfect for this story that brings together some very powerful, and magical, men and women.

This one surprised me and came really close to beating out Water Bound as my favourite in the series (But not quite cause Rikki and Lev will always be my favourite)

Blythe and Viktor’s story is heartbreaking but also healing in the end. I really loved both their characters and thought they handled very awful situations with grace, especially Blythe, and forgiveness. This one introduces a whole new batch of characters for the new spin off series that after reading this one I’m a lot more excited to read. Definitely recommend this series for anyone looking for a Russian/PNR, it has its up’s and downs with certain books in the series but as a whole I really enjoyed it.

Oh, wow, this was a fantastic book! And yeah, I'm pretty sure that the other Torpedo Ink members are getting a spin off series and their own books, I think I read somewhere. And if so, yeah, that's awesome, because they deserve happy endings! Plus that'd mean from 15 to 17 more stories in the Sea Haven world! (Since there's two girls, and they could end up with one of the guys. And that if each and everyone got their own book or story, because some could have short stories, but I think not because they all have had some pretty bad things happen to them!) Yeah. Loved reading this book!

Why is half her books, are about children getting rape. What's the fascination? When I buy a romance novel, I want romance. If I want to read about abuse I'll buy a non fictions books about that subject, which will have a better understanding of that topic.

Between 3.5 and 4 stars, mostly for old time's sake...

Her writing style is annoying the fuck out of me sometimes. She seems to need to repeat an idea till you're dead and buried.
ie:
He was a huge asset[...]. [2nd sentence after the asset one]The club found him very useful.
asset
noun
1.
a useful and desirable thing or quality

I don't know if I'll continue reading this author.

Feehan’s Sea Haven–Sisters of the Heart series is a direct spin-off her Drake Sisters series. This series is based on six sisters of the heart rather than blood who bonded in tragedy and stayed out of love. Now they all live in Sea Haven with their respective husbands who all happen to be brothers. Bound Together is the sixth and final book in this series that finally introduces us to the last and most secretive Prakenskii brother while laying to rest a series of ongoing long-running storylines that originated from the last book in the Drake Sisters series-Hidden Currents. While this series has a long overreaching arc, the low-level advancement allows for each book to be read comfortably as a stand-alone. Feehan has a gift for recapping that doesn’t feel intrusive and it’s easy to sink into the story wherever you choose to start.

I’ve waited so long for this book. Everything leads back to Sea Haven and the Drake/Prakenskii families. Ever since Elle Drake’s kidnapping and abuse at the hands of a madman, I’ve been waiting to see the confrontation between her husband, Jackson, and the bodyguard/undercover spy, Lev Prakenskii. The series has hinted with every book of the battle that will rage once Jackson and Elle return to Sea Haven from their honeymoon and learn that the man who could have saved Elle now lives on the island with his wife. We also learn that the brother of the man who kidnapped Elle is coming back to settle an old score.

Bound Together picks up where Fire Bound left off. Blythe Daniels has built a life on Sea Haven with her sisters. She is shocked when the man she fell in love with and married suddenly reappears after he disappearing five years ago and is ready to resume a life with her. His claims of a note explaining everything and hidden messages fall on deaf ears. It took Blythe years to put herself back together after Viktor’s disappearance and her mother’s betrayal and she isn’t willing to open herself back up to that kind of pain again.

Viktor Prakenskii is the eldest of the seven brothers. When their parents were murdered and they were separated, Viktor’s time in captivity was the harshest as his compliance kept his siblings alive. He and the only other survivors of the “school’ were trained as assassins and used to extract revenge on anyone who crossed their handlers. Blythe was just supposed to be a means to an end but Viktor fell in love with her. When a friend’s mission is compromised, Viktor is forced to leave Blythe, never suspecting his next mission would keep him away for five long years. Now he’s back. His last mission is to destroy the Swords MC, kill its president, and finally claim his wife.

Bound Together not only ends this series but sets up a possible new spin-off featuring Torpedo Inc-the MC Viktor heads with the men and women who survived Hell with him. As with almost every other character in this series, each person possesses a gift of some sort and has been unbelievably abused. Though this story contains the requisite supernatural elements, action, humor, intrigue, and romance; I found it all very low key. This book is built primarily on emotion. We learn how Blythe and Vikor met and why he left. We learn about Viktor and Blythe’s childhoods. We also learn about his adopted brothers and sisters. Each story point is fueled and saturated with emotion.

I have always had love/hate relationship with Feehan’s heroes. Either they respect and treat their heroine like an equal or they are jerks who manipulate their women to get what their way. Luckily, Viktor is of the former alphas. While there is no denying Viktor, like the rest of the Prakenskii brothers, is an uber-alpha, he adores Blythe and recognizes the strength and intelligence she possesses. She is his everything and all he wants to do find his way home to her.

While Feehan does a good job of introducing us the main protagonists and sets up the main plotline, it takes us about a 20-30% in to get to that point. The beginning is a mess of repetition as we are stuck in Viktor’s head while he figuratively spins his wheels. I can’t even begin to tell you how many times Viktor repeats himself over and over about how he hates leading his brothers into danger, how Reaper is always cold and never laughs, and how he has spent five years trying to kill Evan Shackler-Gratsos. Once Viktor arrives in Sea Haven and we are out of his head, the story settles and the narrative smooths out.

Blythe and Vikor are a well-matched couple even though they aren’t similar or even complementary with their gifts. This second chance romance is the strength of this story. Feehan does a fabulous job of giving this couple a realistic chance at getting back together. Viktor grovels quite well and once Blythe learns the whole story, she forgives him. Their chemistry is off the charts and the love scenes are quite steamy and lush. Seems Viktor (and his MC) have no real boundaries and he coaxes Blythe into reuniting outside quite a lot. *wink*

The main conflict and subsequent subplots fail on multiple levels. I found the inclusion of the new ‘brothers’ and possible spin-off overreaching. The violence and childhood abuse (rape and molestation) is discussed in great detail and I felt these new characters and their issues take the reader out the story quite a few times. Feehan rushes around trying to tie everything up and we end up with Jackson and Lev never have their day of reckoning, Viktor spends almost no time reuniting with his blood brothers, and the battle with the Storm MC and Evan Shackler-Gratsos is over within a few pages. Such a disappointment for any fan who has waited the whole series to see these issues resolved.

While not my favorite in this series, Feehan does end it on a hopeful note that this may not be our final visit to Sea Haven.

RATING: C-

Bound Together (Sea Haven/Sisters of the Heart #6) by Christine Feehan

The Sea Haven series comes to a climactic end as the mysterious man from Blythe Daniels’ past re-enters her life. Don’t miss the final Sea Haven novel from the #1 New York Times bestselling “queen of paranormal romance” (J. R. Ward). For five years, Viktor Prakenskii has put his life on hold in order to take down the world’s most feared motorcycle club from the inside. But carrying out the insane violence and seeing the club’s exploitation of the innocent has brought his traumatic past roaring back. And there’s only one cure: to see the wife he left behind...Blythe Daniels thought she’d never see Viktor again after he murdered her stepfather and left without a word. She rebuilt her life without him, becoming a personal trainer and physical therapist...becoming strong enough for others to lean on. But when Viktor comes back to Sea Haven, he’ll make Blythe question everything she thought she knew about good and evil—and the dark desires of the heart.

Why have Feehan's male characters turned into A- class A-holes? I mean really, after all the crap Blythe was left alone to deal with regardless of his reasons I didn't appreciate the whole throwing his weight around barging back into her life and giving her the whole 'you're going to forgive me, that's the end of it' kind of speech instead of earning his way back into her life and the forgiveness I didn't particularly feel he deserved at this point in the game.
While Bound Together was the finale of the SH series I have a feeling its just going to be a jumping off point to start a new series with the MC's. Will we get one? I don't know but we spent enough time with them for the ground work to be laid.
After finishing Bound Together I still felt like Blythe could have used a better ending and probably would have been better off on her own or possibly with someone who deserved her love and earned it rather than having her roll over and heeling to Vik's domineering insistence.
Yet I'm not all that surprised. Lately Feehan's females no longer have a mind of their own and the men mostly control them regardless of what series you read. Its not bad but I would have liked seeing Blythe be stronger and have a stronger presence than she did. I favored her so much that I felt she deserved a much stronger foothold on how things went down.

She brought the whole gang together to finish this series, the Drake sisters and their husbands, the Sea Haven/Sisters of the Heart, and Viktor's motorcycle gang who will get their own series. This book was better than I expected and I can't wait to read more about all the survivors of Viktor's school.

Warning: Many of the books in this series and the future series based off this book deal with graphic children molestation and how the good guys take justice into their own hand.

A tear-jerker from start to finish, Bound Together brings all the Prakenskii brothers back together. Of all the brothers, it is Viktor who moves me the most. This is probably because he is the oldest and has to sacrifice the most to keep his brothers safe. Safe in a way that they do not even comprehend and it is clear the baby of them doesn't even care. I am angry reading this book because Viktor did so much for his brothers and they do not seem to return it. There is a little plot device which this story hinges upon that irks me. The miscommunication in this book is one of the ways that drives me crazy because it could have been so easily avoided. However, without it, there would be a lot less conflict in this book and probably less heartache.

Viktor Prakenskii is the definition of stoic. He maintains a stiff upper lip even when he is tortured, beaten and violated. The abuse heaped upon him and the children he grew up with is horrifying. What is sad is that I can see this happening all to easily in some countries. Viktor's ability as a leader to pull together children and fight back is admirable. The fact that he can still hold a type of honour and walk the talk is even more impressive. All his suffering brings him finally to this end game and it is a long time coming. It is so close, his paradise that I can even taste it. What is his end game? A life with his wife, Blythe Daniels.

Now that threw me for a curve ball. Blythe is married to Viktor and yet no one knows, not even his brothers. How can this be? Talk about a dysfunctional family that does not communicate well. Blythe is the mother hen who takes care of everyone. Her chosen sisters look up to her for support. When Blythe falls apart, her sisters step in and lovingly return the support she's given them over the years. This bond of family is something Ms. Feehan excels at demonstrating. She generates a type of yearning to belong and shows how good it can be, to be part of a family. It is also nice to see that life isn't perfect. What happened to Blythe as a child is terrible and I am appalled at both her mother and aunts. I would not be nearly as forgiving as Blythe was. This makes Blythe the perfect match for Viktor because they come from similar backgrounds of neglect and abuse.

The chemistry between Viktor and Blythe is hawt. Of course, Viktor as a motorcycle club enforcer just screams sexy bad boy looking for trouble. For those who enjoy motorcycle clubs, this story brings it in quite nicely. These men and women are the ones who survived their childhood due to Viktor's determination. Their loyalty is unquestionable. Going "legal" is interesting for them and when they come into Blythe's small town, it is explosive. I like it.

The sex in this story is a bit edgier because Viktor is darker. The tone of this story is also darker which I enjoy. This book is filled with angst and just the right kind which feels like a hot knife stabbing into ribs. Viktor's tale moved me and I felt all sorts of emotions which makes this book memorable and enjoyable. Blythe's loving personality to Viktor's darkness is a nice balance that makes these two fantastic together. They get each other and accept each other just as they are. I love it. This paranormal romance is recommended to romantics who love bad boys with hearts of gold.

Biker gang member as bad boy hero is about as far from my interests as it is possible to get. Felt like a generational gap between me and the author -- biker gang just means washed up middle aged racists to me. But at least I won't get suckered into reading the huge series she's setting up for them -- 17 new characters?! Nope; I'm out.

Viktor Prakenskii has for the last five years put his life and love on hold in order to take down one of the most feared motorcycle club from the inside. Along with wanting to take down the seemingly untouchable head of the organization Viktor wanted desperately to stop the exploitation of innocent children who were being sold into lives of perversion and shame. But most of all Viktor wanted to reclaim his wife, Blythe Daniels whom he had left behind after he’d murdered her stepfather.

*** First of all, I have to say how sad I am that this is the last book of this remarkable series of the Sea Haven/Sisters of the Heart. To say this was remarkable is almost an understatement, but I personally will definitely miss all the wonderful characters whom I’ve come to love.

Blythe hadn’t heard a word from Viktor in five years and had never even informed her sisters of the quickie marriage she and Viktor had embarked on all those years ago. When he showed up in Sea Haven after no word in all that time Blythe was full of emotions and least of all was the physical response he invoked just by being in the same vicinity as she.

With Viktor came his ‘family’ a group of damaged souls whom Viktor had grown up with and protected as best he could. This group were all ready to kill and die for Viktor and would not and by and see him hurt – by anyone. As far as Viktor was concerned, Blythe was the key to both his and his ‘family’s’ future. Viktor know that with Blythe’s gifts of healing and compassion she would be able to help him and his family heal from years of hellish abuse.

Bottom Line: With fantastic writing and super strong characters, BOUND TOGETHER, is the cherry on the top of this amazing series. I only hope that Ms. Feehan finds it in her heart to do another series similar to this and focus on Viktor’s other ‘family’ of misfits and how they go on with their lives.

I would give this book a 4.5 stars rating if goodreads would let me do half stars! I have been looking forward to this novels for quite some time. I'm a big fan of most of Christine Feehan's novels. This one was as great as I was hoping for. If you've read any of the other books in this series or the Sea Haven series, which comes first in this series progression then you know to expect that this book is both wrapping up the Sisters of the Heart series and leading to the next series which will probably be the Torpedo Ink series.

I really liked that Blythe and Viktor had a history pre-novel and we're coming into it five years after he left and she thinks he abandoned her. There's no need for them to go throw a getting to know you period. It's all about forgiveness, accepting the consequences of actions, and getting a more realistic view of each other. It was great! I really liked how Viktor had built her up as the savior for his tarnished group of horror surviviors or the Torpedo Ink club members. It was great that she's built up in their minds so much that they bring her scarred, kids that they've rescued from atrocious situations like they're lost and stray kittens! You can easily see Viktor and Blythe's house becoming this huge monstrosity because they keep having to add on for the new kids that the group brings to her to help 'fix.'

Viktor is a man that won't be denied, “I’m telling you that you need to get used to this side of me. I’m not going away. You’re not going to a divorce attorney. We’re going to work this out, and that means that you see all of me, not just the parts you want to see.” I really liked Blythe, she was a good woman and she doesn't do anything she doesnt want ro do, "I would have said no if I didn’t want to do it, Viktor. I’m not a retiring violet. I speak my mind, and I’m not afraid to tell you to go to hell if I don’t like something you say.” I really loved this book, amd Viktor.

Blythe seems like a teenager in a woman's body. Naive and annoying. I do not like her at all.

Feehan seems to be trying to make every book top the last in terms of torture and rape and graphic violence. At some point awhile back it became over the top, annoying, almost cartoonish, and yet too graphic. I wish she would give it a rest.

For five years Blythe Daniels has lived not knowing what happened to the man she loved and is married to. Now though, he's returned to win her back while assigned to take down the paranoid leader of the world's most feared motorcycle club. It'll take a lot of effort for Viktor Prakenskii to win Blythe back and complete his mission, but he's not one to give up easily. Can Viktor convince Blythe to give him a second chance, so they can both help each other heal from their painful pasts?

This series along with the Drake Sisters series are two of Ms. Feehan's best in my opinion, and this last book of her Sisters of the Heart series does not disappoint. Viktor has a harrowing past having been torn away from his brothers at a young age and forced into a camp where those that ran it did unquestionable things to the kids. How could he possibly fully heal from all that he's suffered? Luckily, Viktor had others he'd grown close to over the years, as close as he once was to his brothers. Men and women who are loyal to each other, and helped combat what they went through in hopes that one day they'd finally take down those that caused so much hurt to kids.

As for the dialogue, it was intense due to the main characters back stories. I felt sorry for Blythe and Viktor. They both had it tough growing up. Blythe's mom was an evil woman filled with jealousy towards her own daughter while Viktor's parents were murdered, so he and his brothers could be thrown into camps and his brothers lives at stake if he didn't do what was instructed. However, it wasn't all intense. There's the reunion of the Prakenskii brothers that was filled with plenty of heat, as they deal with the fact that Viktor is back and married to Blythe; a fact that none of the men are overly thrilled about because Blythe is so sweet and Viktor is the complete opposite. However, what I like most about Ms. Feehan's writing is how descriptive she makes the setting of Sea Haven, the characters and what they're going through, so I can feel the emotions along with the characters and can imagine what Sea Haven is like. It's definitely a place I'd want to live.

Both the main characters are compelling, but the secondary characters definitely add that extra something to this story, especially the men and women that Viktor protected and grew up with. Then there's the Prakenskii brothers and the women they fell in love with as well as the Drake sisters and the men they fell in love with who I have thoroughly enjoyed throughout the two series, but most especially when they band together to fight the enemy. Can they defeat the man that has terrorized so many?

Blythe is strong and brave with everything she's been through and managed to overcome, even when there were times when she wanted to give up. I could sympathize with her because it isn't easy losing what she did, but I was glad that she managed to overcome it with the help of the women she is close to. But what I liked most of all about Blythe is that she didn't make things easy for Viktor, even though she's still so much in love with him. Yet, the question is - how can she trust that he won't leave again? While Viktor, just like all his brothers, he's confident, tough and I liked how determined he was to win back Blythe. Of course, he's a Prakenskii and they never give up on going after what they want. Yet, what I liked most about Viktor was how being away from Blythe for five years wasn't easy for him, but it was palpable he didn't have a choice than to go after the man that is his target.

Overall, this final book of this series was a worthwhile read filled with plenty of heat between the characters and had me laughing. How embarrassing for Blythe just because she's loud when it comes to physical intimacy with Viktor! As for the ending, I absolutely loved it. What a powerful way to finish the series by what one of the characters did to the enemy. However, it was the last chapter that wrapped everything up nicely, as this is a story of acceptance, finding it in one's heart to forgive, healing and finally being able to live their lives the way they want. No more following orders or looking over their shoulders. I would recommend Bound Together by Christine Feehan, if you enjoy Paranormal Romance, have read the other books in this series, or enjoy books by authors Nalini Singh, Sherrilyn Kenyon or JR Ward.

Read these last year and never gotten around to do a review. I had no plans of finishing Sisters Of The Heart Series anytime soon. Love my Biker reads and was so excited one of my favorite authors Christine Feehan was coming out with a Biker series Torpedo Ink. Bound Together the last book in Sisters Of The Heart series introduces readers to the Torpedo Ink MC. I had to read it before I started Torpedo Ink series. Personally for me I have no problems reading any Christine Feehan books out of order. Some might so if not sure I would definitely check other reviews. I did feel the last book gave me enough details to what has been happening with the characters that I am curious about.

Rating: 4 Stars - Loved It

Thoughts: I think Viktor might be one of Christine Feehans most stubborn heroes she has created and loved it. Blythe definitely had her hands full with him. Loved her character and thought she was perfect for him and his crew. The secondary characters were amazing. Really do not know how to live a normal life because of their past. It was nice to see them try to fit in socially thanks to Blythe who becomes like a mother to them all.

4.5 Torpedo Stars

On a serious note before I review, I want to mention the topic of this book concerning human trafficking which is a huge problem around the world. I think we should all be aware and promote this problem so that it can all be stopped today, tomorrow and any in the future.

Now this series has been a great read. I love the introduction of the new series coming about Torpedo Ink and the survivors of those death camps. I look forward to seeing each of them as they learn to blend in to what should always have been normal for them.
