--Rush, is written superbly. From start to end all the words piece together beautifully. The story line flows easily through a very solid foundation. The angst ranges from light to heavy to “damn my breath has gone”. Rush is indeed a Rush of epic proportions!

Kinsley has put up with her domineering husband and his abuse because it was the only way to get her father's healthcare taken care of. She sees a piece of herself die though every time he cuts her down or abuses her. When she realizes her husband hid her fathers death from her, it is her breaking point and fortunately a woman helps her escape and find a new identity and life. Kinsley has no plans on ever getting involved with a man again, but when billionaire Ashton Montgomery makes his interest known she isn't buying it.
Ashton can't stop thinking about Kinsley who he only knows as Kiera. When she finally agrees to see where they chemistry leads too, Ashton can't get enough Kinsley. As they begin to build a future together, Ashton feels like Kinsley is hiding something and when he finds out what, how will he react?
I was drawn in from page one and captivated until the very end. I get why Kinsley was weary of telling Ashton the truth about who she was, I was surprised by Ashton though when he finds out. I am eager to read next in this fantastic series.

SPOILERS AHEAD!!!!!!!
I absolutely loved this story:) The characters were great, the storyline was heartbreaking and yet so heartwarming and the sexual chemistry between Ash and Kinsley/Keira was off the charts. The love they felt for each other was so pure and true and just amazingly beautiful!
Now, why not 5 stars, well 2 things, I hated the scene in LA when he took off after finding out the truth behind her "wall" and for that, I hated him and also the ending as great as it was, I wanted and desperately needed so much more:) I hope that in the books to come about his brothers, I will get a definitive HEA for these 2 because they both sure as hell deserve it, lol!!!!!!

Ashton Montgomery you made me fall hard and fast for you with your dirty mouth and your insanely sweet side. But when you started the alpha male possessive act I was completely done! There was no turning back.
Rush is book one in the Montgomery Men series and I am completely hooked! Like every other CA Harms book, it had all the feels and left me in a big puddle of swoony goo! It's hot, super sexy, a little sweet and a lot dirty!
Ashton is single, rich and living the dream life. He has his brothers, his friends and a woman in his bed whenever he wants. See? Dream life! The day that Kinsley walks into his office is the day everything he thought he wanted changes. She's a challenge that he never expected but one that he is definitely up for.
Kinsley is strong and independent. And she's running from a past that she's desperate to escape. As hard as it is, she has learned to live a life that doesn't allow for long term relationships. But she's feisty and sexy and she's ready to take her life back. Ashton Montgomery may be just what she needs to make it happen.
Gah!! These two are perfect together!! This book has such a perfect balance of intensity and emotion that you can't help but fall in love. It's sexy. deliciously dirty and super hot!! I love Ashton's devotion to Kinsley and his determination to make sure she stays in his life. He's the perfect alpha male with that just right combination of "you're mine" and "you're so beautiful that you take my breath away every time you enter the room".
This book is so well written that you can feel the emotion pouring off the pages. With enough angst to keep you on your toes and heartfelt moments that will have you swooning, you're going to fall in love with these two. I loved the secondary characters (I want Lex to be my BFF) and the banter was light and fun. I can't wait to learn more about Beckett and Knox. I have a feeling that this series is going to be CA Harms' best yet!!

3.5 RATING- Surprised that I ended up liking this one as much as I did. Guilty pleasure for sure but well done. Woman on the run story, man whore who falls hard and pursues heroine harder, some sexy dirty talk, and very readable writing made this a quick enjoyable read.
I have several books by this author that I picked up as freebies on my Kindle (although this is the first I've actually read so far and I purchased this one) and am glad to find her writing works for me. I definitely plan to pick up the next book in this series when it releases.

Relationships, not a chance Ashton Montgomery had given that a try and was sworn off anything long term from now on and there was no shortage of willing bedfellows.

Ashton was super, rich and super successful but that doesn’t impress Kinsley, after all Jase had all that too, but Ashton is everything that Jase isn’t, he is so kind, so loving and she was always swimming against the tide, she was always going to give in and date him, the man was relentless.
I loved his possessiveness but wasn’t sure how given her history that was going to play out, I thought it might have been tougher for her than it appeared. But what was hard for her to deal with was the web of lies that she continued to weave on an almost daily basis, it was eating away at her but she couldn’t tell him the truth, even though he had made it clear that he would never lie to her and that truth was a paramount consideration for him.
Together they were fabulous but the spectre of not only her past but the deceit is always bubbling along in the background, a ticking time-bomb almost. So when Ashton gets an uneasy feeling that there is something painful in her past that he can no longer ignore and he asks his brother Beckett – a PI to look into her past. The truth is devastating for him.
Reacting poorly and rashly to the content of Beckett’s investigation, Ashton calls time on their relationship, but is that it, are this perfect couple over for good?
The pickup from Ashton’s return from L.A is swift and Ash’s possessive nature swings into full effect, I won’t give away what happens but let’s just say that Ash and his brothers Beckett and Knox stop at nothing to make sure that she is finally free of her demons.
There is a wealth of fabulous characters but I would like to give a huge shout out to Lex, Ashton’s fabulous sidekick, who is more than willing to give his boss and careful nudge in the right direction and eventually Kinsley’s best friend, he was just superb.
I loved Kinsley and Ashton, they had a realistic undertone to their story, I liked the fact that the author didn’t sugar coat the seriousness of her situation.
I am looking forward to reading the next of the Montgomery Men Series and I hope that we get a little more from Kinsley and Ashton too.

Excellent
An excellent story, exceptional writing, and great characters made this a fantastic read. Ashton and Kingsley/Kiera area perfect together and a great story of how our past doesn't have to control our future when we trust the right people. Definitely a recommended read.

CA HARMS' BEST BOOK YET!!
I'm not sure what the author did while writing this novel, but OH.EM.GEE. she certainly NAILED it. Now, I've LOVED all her other books, but this one....this one was just so much better!! WOW! I was HOOKED and I seriously could not put this book down. The story line had more depth, more emotion...GAH! I don't know quite how to explain it, but this book was just EPIC.
Ashton was DELICIOUS and Kinsley was a strong heroine. I loved how despite Ash being an alpha male, he knew how to treat and love Kinsley, especially after everything she had been through. I loved seeing her character grow and come out of her shell alongside Asheton. It was truly heart-warming.
The plot had angst-driven scenes, hot and passionate moments, and some humor too (LOVED LEX!). Ashton's brothers we SO DAMN SEXY TOO, I cannot help but feel all kinds of excited to see what Ms. Harms has up her sleeves for this series.

I loved this book; Rush is by far C.A. Harms best book. The storyline of this book instantly gripped me. I couldn’t put it down! The emotions in this book are intense and on point. Kinsley’s story gave me the feels, there wasn’t one emotion that I didn’t feel whilst reading Rush. Anger at Jase. Ugly crying for the pain Kinsley felt at losing her father. And happiness for Kinsley and Ashton’s love and relationship. The storyline for Rush is on point, and consistent throughout. I seriously cannot wait for Beckett’s book! I need it right now! Kinsley’s story is heartbreakingly beautiful!
As soon as Ashton saw Kinsley, he turned full on Alpha. He tried to win her over on their first meeting. But Kinsley went all sassy on him. He wasn’t looking for a relationship, he didn’t want one! But as soon as he met Kinsley, he knew he had to have her! He tried his hardest to win her over, flowers, a fancy breakfast and sneaky set ups planned by his assistant, Lex.
When Kinsley gives in to her attraction to Ashton, their chemistry is sizzling hot! I liked how Kinsley felt remorse for lying to Ashton; she clearly didn’t want to lie to him. If I am being totally honest, I thought this book would be Dark and slow to get into. But although Rush has the power to break your heart within the first few pages, it is light hearted and an addicting read. – Definitely one to add to the Re-read list.
Kinsley is a sassy women hiding beneath a broken shell, the further we get into the story, and the sassiness starts to break through more and more. I loved how Lex stood by Kinsley when the truth came out.
Kinsley Hellman has been through hell, she stayed in an abusive relationship to protect and help her dying father. She finally has the courage to leave, to escape her personal hell. After getting a new identity, now known as Keira she meets Ashton and she is instantly attracted to him, but she can’t risk a relationship. She lives in fear of her ex husband finding her and hurting her further. But Ashton wants Keira and he isn’t going to give up easily. When Keira finally gives in to her attraction to Ashton, they soon grow stronger as a couple, but how will Ashton react when he learns the truth of her past? Will Kinsley ever be safe? Will Ashton and Kinsley get their happily ever after?

It is no secret I am a huge fan of this author. From the first time I read one of her books, I was hooked. And since then, I keep coming back with each new release. I expect a lot from the author and the Montgomery Men series is one I am looking forward to in the future. This book was so amazing. It had an intriguing plot, flowing story line and gave me all the feels while keeping me on the edge of my seat. Ashton stole my heart.
Rush is a sexy new standalone and first in a brand new series. This book was sexy, sweet, fun, intriguing, captivating, intense, and had the most beautiful happy ending. This book took me on a range of emotions, ups and downs but when the pages quit turning, I knew that each moment I experienced in their journey was worth it. Ashton stole my still beating heart and Kinsley marked my soul. Get ready for their story.

I loved this book! This is C.A. Harms' BEST BOOK YET!
Kinsley was trapped in an abusive marriage. Jase abused her both physically and mentally while using her dying father to manipulate her into believing she couldn't leave him. Then a chance encounter with a woman she didn't know changes everything. With this woman's help she escaped and took a new identity (Kiera). She lived in fear he would find her but she was strong and determined to build a new life. Then Kiera meets Ashton, he is an intimidating, no nonsense businessman who sleeps with women just for the pleasure without the emotional attachment. And he is gorgeous. He is used to women throwing themselves at him, until he meets Kiera. She is sassy and doesn't make his advances easy. It makes him want her all the more. Just wait till you see the real Ashton Montgomery, you will love him! And then there is Lex, Ashton's gay male assistant. I love him! He made me laugh. He is definitely a fun character.

This was the first book I have read from this author and it certainly won't be my last. The balance of strength and vulnerability that our heroine possessed was amazing and well written. Our hero was an incredibly tantalizing alpha male with the perfect balance of dominance and tenderness. Just delicious. The storyline was gripping and a real page-turner and I kept waiting for the shoe to drop... the trouble to appear around the corner. I was truly as paranoid as the heroine rightfully felt. The struggles, hesitancies, and feelings of betrayal rippled through me right off the pages just as it did for the characters. The dual points of view gave us a great sense of who each character was and how they experienced their journey through this story. I can't wait to read the next book, Heat!

Kinsley and Ashton are fabulous characters, as the story develops we get a real insight into their personalities and what makes them tick. At the start Ashton is a bit of an as...le he comes off as cold and aloof. He has everything I love in a bbf, he's funny, sexy, successful and demanding with a filthy mouth. When we meet Kinsley at the start my heart broke for everything she has gone through but a chance meeting gives her the chance to change her life.
From the moment they meet you can feel the attraction in the air the chemistry between the two is scorching hot. Loved all the flirty banter between them . The story is at times heartbreaking but it's fun and flirty so if you like a strong protective alpha man and a woman who is strong but doesn't realise it then you will love this book.

This was an Audible listen for me. The narrator did a great job and fit the characters and story well. She has a nice tone to her voice. Recommended listening!
Sweet and sexy connection between Ashton and Kinsley aka Kiera. Loved their connection; lots of passion and heart. Ashton was a bit of a jerk in the beginning; he didn’t have the best introduction, but I loved that he was head over heels for Kinsley and wasn’t scared to commit to her. Kinsley is on the run from her abusive husband and doesn’t believe she should get involved with anyone, but Ashton is a hard man to keep at bay. I love how she stands up to him when they first meet; love her feisty side. They work together very well as a couple; good banter. I’m not a fan of dishonesty, so I thought she could’ve been more forthcoming with him about her situation; there were times that she was dishonest and I didn’t feel she needed to be. I still really liked her though; she’s a tough cookie. I would’ve liked a bit more suspense to the story; amping things up on the abusive ex front would’ve been cool, still I was entertained by the whole story. I’m looking forward to reading the next books about Ashton’s brothers!

I search for women on the run plots. I especially like when there is a plan and it’s executed, the build up and angst while we read how the plan is evolving with the promise of escape. Unfortunately this story is more a case of the right place at the right time. Serendipity if you will. This happenstance does not give the build up and anxiety for an escape. We are told this has happened and that will happen until the day comes where our little escapee lands in a quiet town with the protection of the community, no she ends up in New York, meets a very rich man and goes to a gala with him 🤦🏻♀️. Now if I were on the run, my ex well connected and rich, that would be the last place I would be! Photos, society pages in the newspaper...nothing happens. Here is the perfect way for the menace of the ex to come to confrontation but there’s nothing...what a shame. A very simplistic HEA with a small hiccup along the way to do with the hero being an idiot but he gaslights her and gets away with it so all is forgiven..I’m almost talking myself into two stars so I better stop writing!🙃

I've just finished CA Harm's best book to date. Hands down THE BEST! I have DEVOURED this book in THREE HOURS! And now I don't know what to do with myself.
Rush is the first standalone from a brand new series from CA. It's raw, I am literally STRIPPED of emotion right now. It's racy, Ashton is SO FREAKING HOT, I swear I'm on fire. And it's REAL, the feels are real, the heartache is real, the swoon is real. Everything is perfect!
CA Harms knows how to write alphas, delicious, dirty alphas that blow the mind while breaking through and burying themselves deep in the heart of a reader.. Ashton Montgomery is the best alpha CA has written, if he was a real person I'd be a pile of swoony, turned on goo, right now. He's HOT. Utter sin, wrapped in a sublime package.
Our h is Kinsley, and my word did she break my heart but also make me smile so BIG. The fragile, wounded girl was actually a sexy, sassy female who turns out to be the PERFECT MATCH for Ash.
Rush, is written superbly. From start to end all the words piece together beautifully. The story line flows easily through a very solid foundation. The angst ranges from light to heavy to “damn my breath has gone”. The twist and turns laid out are gut wrenching at times but packed with such emotion it's hard to walk away. It's obvious that CA has put a lot into this book, she's made the characters loveable, with a connection so hot and deep it literally oozes from the pages. CA has packed this book with a fantastic secondary cast that complimented the story wonderfully. Ashton's brothers are going to be AMAZING. For a long time now CA’s Key West men have been my favourites. But they are nothing compared to the Montgomery’s, after just one book they're embedded. I can't wait for the next two stories.
Now I'm going to sit here and marvel in the glorious feeling us bookworms get when we read a great book!! Rush is indeed a Rush of epic proportions!

Kinsley has been living in an abusive marriage for years, and the only thing keeping her there, is her husband is paying for her sick father's medical expenses. While doing an errand for her boss, she meets Ashton Montgomery, and feels an instant strong attraction to him, but in order to stay safe, he's a distraction she can't afford. She does her best to stay distant, but Ashton has other ideas, and he's relentless, as he's not letting anyone or anything stand in his way, including her. She finally caves, and feelings quickly develop, but will Ashton ever forgive her when her true identity is revealed?!
OMG! Everytime I finish a book by this author, I'm convinced that it's my favorite. And each new book that comes out, her writing is taken up a notch, and believe me, that's hard to do when every book she writes is 5 stars! But she hit new levels of EPIC with Rush! Warning: dramatic girly girl emotions and gushing ahead! The character development is fantastic, with a entertaining cast of secondaries. Rush involves some harsh and emotional topics, but it's tempered with well placed humor, and FIERY FLAMES of sexy scene goodness that will destroy panties everywhere! C.A. Harms' brilliant writing style reels me in EVERYTIME, and Rush is no exception, as I was held hostage in one place until the very end. Her diabolical twists and turns always make for intense OMG moments that cause f-bombs to rain down everywhere. OMG!!! Words cannot express what I felt while reading this books. The author has really outdone herself this time. I have to admit that I am a HUGE fan of CA Harms. I am talking stalker level huge. I have read every one of her books and have fallen in love every time I open a new one. Her characters are always very well developed. Her storylines are phenomenal. They will make you wish you were a part of the story, just so you could say you were there. I know without a doubt that I will love her books. I don’t even read the blurbs anymore. I go in blind and am never disappointed. This story was very emotional and kept me in tears. It was a good thing that I stocked up my tissues before starting this book. This storyline was incredible, so complex and addictive. Kinsley had my heart in the first chapter. Ashton was quick to follow. These characters were exceptional. Ashton is a very protective, resourceful, yet compassionate man. Kinsley is a very strong woman who turns her life upside down and becomes someone else. These two have a deep attraction from the start. The fire builds slowly to an explosion of epic proportions. This story has all the “feels” and has left its indelible mark on my heart. I love series, sometimes I just can't get enough. Now add brother's to the mix and you have a series that I tend to go a bit Cray Cray for. However, just because it's brother series doesn't mean it any good. But, that's not the case for RUSH!
I was drawn into the tale of a woman desperate to escape her abusive mate. Who doesn't love a heroine strong enough to leave her abuse? What's more heroic, she was able to finally let down some of her guards and fall in love with a man who loves her for her.
This doesn't mean the road was smooth sailing. This relationship had its ups and downs. The road was obviously rocky as you have one hiding their past and another digging into it.
In the end these to loveable characters get their HEA. What's best is this is not the last we get to see of this couple, as the brother's stories continue seeking a HEA and lots of grandbabies babies for the mom of the super hot alpha males.

It's no secret that I love CA Harms but honestly this is probably one of my favorite books of hers. I freaking loved Ashton so much. I mean seriously who doesn't love a bad boy who falls hopelessly in love? This is a man who gets everything he wants, including women, but he has to work for Kinsley affections and trust. When he falls, he falls hard.
"These eyes melt me, baby. I've never looked into another person's eyes and felt the pull I feel when I look into yours."
Kinsley is a strong woman who has been through a lot. The past has been hard but she hasn't given up and I loved that about her. I seriously enjoyed every word of this book and I can't wait for the next book!

Kinsley is a strong woman who has been through a lot. The past has been hard but she hasn't given up and I loved that about her. I seriously enjoyed every word of this book and I can't wait for the next book!

I was pulled right into this story. The story has pain, secrets, lies, suspense, twists & turns and heartbreak.
This is Kinsley and Ashton’s story. Kinsley is on the run from her past. Her husband abused her and now that she ran she is building a new life for herself. Ashton is cocky and knows just what he wants. But is Kinsley even open to something with someone? Or is she just waiting for her past to catch up with her? Can she try and form a relationship or will it be no use? Can Ashton get her to give him a chance? Can he protect her if her past comes for her?
I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.
