Possibly the most generic, big picture book out there
This book literally plays into the author’s own streams of passive income. The book is written in a very dramatic, hyped style, but the content is mostly fluff.
It rolls out the old chestnuts like Swagbucks, and then goes on to mention but not expand on other things you could do. Blog? YouTube? It’s not about strategy or weighing the pros and cons.
This might be a fine book for people who have literally never thought of passive income or been on the Internet before.
The book is full of nickel and dime suggestions. Ebates, swagbucks, data sharing, survey filling ways to make a few bucks a month. Book will be outdated shortly and doesn’t give great advice on ideas for long term passive income. Not my cup of tea. Short read but not worth the hour. Would have been pissed if it wasn’t free on Amazon.
I love the idea of passive income. Getting my money to work harder. These ideas are not really practical. I will seek out some other books on investing strategy.
Not really passive -- these take work. Passive Income is when you don't have to do work -- just sit back and let the money come in. Write a book for passive income? What part of that is passive?
The idea of making a passive income is not bad, but the book basically looks like a collection of google search results . Nobody should waste time on researching how to make $10/mo, this will not feed your family, neither will $500/mo do. Get a real job or pursue an idea that will generate enough to replace your income from your full-time job.
I liked the concept of this book. Having been self employed in brick and mortar for twenty six years and online for ten plus I support the authors cause. The only issues I found were the first part of the book reads like a late night tv commercial. Doesn't really appeal to me but I'm sure it will to some. The other issue is the earnings estimates are very optimistic in my opinion. Not impossible but very optimistic. In the end I recommend you buy the book. Its worth the read.
My critique of this book is that most of the passive income strategies included are not actually passive income and instead involve huge amounts of work—so, to present them as passive income either means the author isn’t clear on what the term means OR has a completely simplistic understanding of the complexities of many industries. An example: “To get started with LicenseQuote, create your marketable music or get someone else to create it for you...”
Oh...is that ALL? Just create some marketable music??? So passive. Much income. 😆
If you are new to passive income streams, this book is the one to start with. Thee author gives basic information to begin your journey into this type of income. As with anything, you should do your own research and count the costs bet beginning. This book will set you on the right track. U received this book free in return for my honest review.
So much great info with an engaging style and wit!
I had to stop repeatedly so I could quote lines and paragraphs to my 23year old and my 17 yr old. I will be reading this again all the way through so I can take notes next time. Really honest and funny about the different ways and methods of passive income possibilities in today's technology -driven world. No Bull. I Completely Recommend!
Most of these passive income ideas require a tremendous amount of either upfront time investment or a continual time investment. The author definitely undersells the time commitment of many of these ideas. (Who has 8+ hours a day for Swagbucks and Perk.tv)
Two stars for bringing all the ideas together in one book. Should have spent more time researching and talking about DRIPs and other options. Buy it. Auto reinvest dividends. Forget about em.
Spending hours every week trolling swagbucks to make $5 a day is not how I want to spend my time. The author also lists blogging as a way to make passive income. I had a blog that made $30k+ a year and it was FAR from passive. It took about 20-30 hours a week to maintain and market.
She laid out all the ideas in a clear structure. I was skeptical at first that this was a get rich quick book, but this is more abt giving ideas on how one can create a passive income with some work. I'm definitely going to take some of these ideas and try them myself.
Nothing earth shattering here. Each chapter dives into different ways to create passive income. Many of these if not most are very small potatoes but still a slightly above average read. And I just realized by purchasing this book I'm accomplishing the authors goal of creating passive income for himself or herself!
This book is well organized with plenty of passive income ideas. And it's easy to find the ideas in which you're interested. Personally, I just found a hand full of ideas to be beneficial. But I didn't have to dig hard to find them. Also, there are numerous links provided if you want to get more info on an idea.
If I could give this a 2.8 I would. Nothing much of substance offered up by this book. However, it did get my brain working on various projects I've thought about in the past. Think of this book as dipping your little toe into the world of passive industries, but not something you'll actually get your hands dirty with.
Very informative. Strategies for beginners. Lots of referrals to useful resources. I would recommend this book to anyone contemplating ways to create multiple streams of income. A must read for anyone interested in pursuing passive income, even if their strapped for cash.
This has to be the worst book ever written. None of the ideas are passive except owning rental property which everyone in the world already knows about. If you have to sit in front of a computer and complete tasks all day to earn $100 a month you are not being passive and wasting all of your time for nothing.
95% of the ideas are not scalable. Writing books or ebooks could produce significant income, but the only other items are gig work like building web pages or require capital like investing. The whole book could have been reduced to three to five pages.
Suggested for those who have zero to basic knowledge about passive income, those looking for examples on how and where to start their passive income stream. The links provided create an easy access to websites that are correlated with passive income.
Passive Incomes Streams was an easy read with a well thought out layout. A couple of paragraphs were hard to read due to typos, but overall it was a very informative book with real ideas.
I enjoyed this book. Had ideas for passive income that I would never thought about. Not sure I would call some of these ideas would be considered passive, but great to her about these options
This book was (informative) and easy to understand. I just started a blog today actually so I will be using some of the AWESOME tips offered in this info RICH book!! Thank you so much for sharing your KNOWLEDGE and WISDOM...👍🏾🤑🙌🏾
1.5 stars. The author only dives deep and provides bones to a couple good passive income ideas. The rest is fluff; fodder for her other e-books (passive income streams) with same content and similar/different titles.
The information in this book is obvious. Most of it can be helpful for a kid to make a couple of bucks, but the promise of living from passive income is far from being fulfilled.
The book provided a basic overview of a some easy, medium, and more difficult streams of revenue. Easy to understand. Not super helpful to me but mightbe yo someone else.
Written for people that desperately need ten bucks. Too much time spent on selling your data and ad clicks to get $50 a year and then some info on freelancing which isn’t passive, IMO. Then just a couple pages on rentals and stock brokerage sites
this is my fluffy fluff book that was free on amazon prime..... give up all your privacy to earn $20 a month........ hey writing is now PASSIVE income!
i think she means plagerize and rehash and hope someone buys it
Provides some useful information with easy to understand instructions on how to get started in various types of passive income opportunities available with little or in up-front investment.
