This is a fact-filled book about dinosaurs that will likely appeal to elementary school-age students. The narrative is informative without being boring and the illustrations are nicely detailed.

Summary:
Amazing World of Dinosaurs, written by Judith Granger, is an information book about dinosaurs that also includes many illustrations by Pamela Baldwin Ford. This book is an easy and short read, but it gives a lot of information. One aspect that book mentions is that all the information about dinosaurs is learned through fossils. The book also sets up the differences between the two main types of dinosaurs: meat eaters and plan eaters, discussing their different characteristics and habitats. Building off this, the book also gives features of different specific types of dinosaurs that existed. Another aspect that was unique about this book was showing the differences between how the Earth looked then and how it looks now; one example being that the ocean used to be a lot shallower and warmer. The book ends with giving several theories of how the dinosaurs became extinct.
Classroom Use:
This book would be very useful to incorporate with a science class when my students are learning about dinosaurs. I like this book because it can be used as a catalyst to many different aspects of dinosaurs: fossils, habitats, characteristics, and theories.
