A bare-bones, super-simplified adaptation of the 2008 movie illustrated with stills from the film.

There just isn't much to it.

What I learned was, if you anger Jennifer Aniston then go do some thinking at the beach with Owen Wilson.

Marley and Me Meet Marley is based off of the movie Marley and Me. It is about a couple that decides they would like to get a puppy. Little did they know how much work a puppy was going to be. Marley is excited to have a family but has a hard time following the rules. He runs on the beach without his leash, makes a mess in the garage, and even steals a thanksgiving turkey from the neighbors house. Will Marley ever follow the rules and will his owners still want to keep him.
This book is good for new readers who know how to sound out the words. Also this book can be for kids who like dogs and the mischief they can get into.

This is a very simple telling of part of the Marley & Me: Life and Love with the World's Worst Dog, with a movie tie-in complete with movie stills. With simple sentences and lots of pictures, it is a decent book for beginning readers, although it seems a bit scattered and not nearly as coherent as you would hope. Still, I liked the original tale and it was fun to share this book with our girls.

I have to be honest, when my son brought this book home from the school library, I was not thrilled to read it. All I remember about the movie is the ending & I hate sad endings & we just lost our family dog a few months ago. However, this book does not include that ending, which was a relief. It was actually a cute simple book about how Marley was family even when he didn't do everything right. I really liked the message.

Marley and me is a great read for students, I think that it would be good for students to use when they are getting a pet at home or even getting a classroom pet. The book teaches what goes into have a dog and what responsibility you would have when it comes to taking care of one. I feel that learning through reading can be a great tool in the classroom.
