Well what can you say about a book to read in the bathroom? Just that it is fun and enlightening. Now don't think you have to read it in the bathroom, because it makes for great bedtime reading also. If you like trivia then Uncle John is familiar to you if you are just getting into trivia there is no better place to start. I just finished this one and it was written in 1991, but that is alright with these books you can start with anyone of them. One caveat something's are slightly outdate, but hey you get to see what was thought in 1991 if you did happen to pay attention as you went through the year. I know I missed a few things myself. So grab a copy and trivia on.

Things I learned from this book:

- The word addict originally described a type of Roman slave. So to be an addict is to be enslaved to something.
- Tobacco farmers were exempt from the WWII draft because the crop was considered "essential."
- The name Kiwanis comes from a Canadian Indian expression that means "we have good time/we make noise." How appropriate.
- A South Korean movie theater owner decided that "The Sound of Music" was too long and so decided to shorten it - by cutting out all of the songs.
- There are trace amounts of iron in the human nose that allow us to find our bearings in relation to the Earth's magnetic poles, even without the use of our eyes.
- "Sweet Dreams" by the Eurythmics was recorded in one take as a demo. It became the groups first mega-hit.
- Tabasco sauce did not originate in Mexico, it is just named after a Mexican river.

And much more!
