The graphics are fun, the writing is terrible. “Ah, me”? Seriously? (Ten bucks says this was a man’s idea of what a woman’s diary entries are like.) Also, whoever wrote this didn’t even brother to pass it by a native French speaker. It all just feels awkward and artificial.

Contrarily to The DNA of Orphan Black, this book does include all events, also those of season five. Bonus points!

It's a kind of report on Project Leda with pictures, individual reports, characters sheets, newspaper articles and more, all twined together by Delphine's diary entries (at first. Things get different after a while). Overall, it was great to follow the story - its full five seasons - through the eyes of a not-clone and see it develop in bits and pieces. The only thing that got me annoyed were the sometimes rather lenghty paragraphs that devolved into melodramatic crap whenever Delphine delved into - and lost herself in - her love for Cosima. Fine, yeah, it's nice watching the two of them on-screen and I get that it's there in her diaries, but boy, she really doesn't know when to stop, does she?

Apart from that: Great stuff. All the different elements and bonus material really make this book something special. If you're a fan of the TV series, you're going to love this!

Since the cancellation of Dark Angel (fuck you Whedon) there's been a hole in my life for female-led shows about genetically engineered people created by shady institutions with creepy and mysterious higher up connections. It was Orphan Black that filled that hole (and more, I cannot even express how much I adored this show) and took me on an adventure with the sestras.

If you're in as deep with Clone Club as I am, get this book, it's pretty much an "art of" or "making of" without the making of part and a little bit more background on some of the sestras. It's presented as if it's a file of information that Delphine has put together with scraps of paper, surveillance, observation and intelligence. There could have been more possibly but there is enough to keep one entertained.

I'm going to miss this show but this is a beautiful keepsake from it.

I loved this book! You learn a lot about the characters thanks to the Dyad reports on each clone, especially Beth! I didn’t know about her childhood and her report helps you understand why she is how she is.

I freaking loved the Dyad monitor reports as well, especially Donnie’s. I could not stop laughing while reading his report!

The book includes lots of fun things that you could remove, like Beth’s business card, the flyer to Sarah’s “funeral”, that blood stained paper thingie that Helena made in the beginning of the show, an invite to Leslie’s event and some other stuff too.

Lots of photos and diary entries from Delphine, Cosima and a couple others. And so many photos! I loved every bit of it.

I absolutely loved the Orphan Black TV series and so finding this book was the next best thing. I loved being back in this world and with all of the characters and it was so cool reading through every page and being reminded of the crazy plot that was Orphan Black.
I like how it used different formats to tell the story including newspaper clippings, diary entries, texts and more and there were also quite a few interactive pull outs that added to the enjoyment.
I did think that Delphine and Cosima's diary entries didn't really sound like them but other than that it was great to delve deeper into the Orphan Black world and it definitely took me back to watching the show.

This book is perfect for fans of Orphan Black. It summarises the main events of the entire series. As it's been many years since I watched the show, I had to google some names to remind myself who was who. However, I really loved the mixed-media format, which contained some surprising elements. I can't give it five stars for two main reasons. Firstly, Delphine's diary entries were overly love-struck for Cosima and clearly written by a man. Secondly, I wished there was more background information, not just the story of Orphan Black rewritten in an interesting way.

This is a lot of fun for fans and a treasure trove of little series details but I really expect a book like this to ADD something to the canon and it did not. Disappointed. I wanted more Orphan Black backstory

Movie/TV tie-ins can either be really good, or really bad. I am so happy that this one was good. Orphan Black is one of my favorite TV shows and I would have been so upset if it had been bad. That's not to say that this is an absolutely amazing book - the writing could be a bit cringy at times - but it was great for big fans of the show. I loved learning more about the characters and all the extra content. There were so many fun things like Helena's note to Jesse and learning about who monitored the clones at different stages of their life. The worst parts were definitely Delphine/Cosima's journal entries but since they weren't the main point of the book I only knocked off one star.

I'll probably re-read this when I get around to re-watching the show. It has enough additional information that I think it's worth at least one read-through if you're a fan.

I bought this a while ago as Amazon had it on offer. I was aware of the OB comics, which sadly all got cancelled after one issue due to lack of interest (perhaps they shouldn’t have released them years after the show ended!?) as well as the book they did about the real world science that inspired the show.

I was not aware of this book; it’s quite an interesting read, a mix between a diary written from Delphine’s (and later Cosima’s) perspectives, with excerpts/fragments of various info relating to pretty much every aspect of the TV show ranging from detailed profiles and observations on the clones, to emails, letters, memos, police reports, and interviews plus lots of Felix’s artwork and other props from the show (including some pull out stuff like a fake Dyad key card)

Obviously if you aren’t a fan of the show, or haven’t seen the show, then this book will be meaningless to you. It’s purposely designed for the fan, ideally ones who still obsess over this wonderful series (like me - yeah I’ve still not seen a better TV show from beginning to end). You get some unique insights into many characters’ thoughts plus some new information that sheds light on certain parts of the story. It works well as a companion guide but I got to say some of the writing is shaky - Delphine writes a lot of long rambling sentences which, given she’s a scientist and an academic, it doesn’t make a lot of sense having her write like a daydreaming teenage girl. Probably my only major gripe though, as like I said much of this book is really interesting and I found out new stuff even after having watched the show numerous times over the years.

Must-have for hardcore fans. There are a lot of extra information that can feed fans' hunger for more Orphan Black and give special insight into the mind of Delphine and Cosima.

The whole book could do with a thorough review and proofreading, as there are way too many typos and mistakes, which may distract the keen eye.

All in all, from a huge fan's viewpoint this is a small treasure :)
