Things heat up in Tritania as Quantum Hughes and the Dream Team continue their search for Strata Godsick's son both in the real world and the Proxima Galaxy.
An attack in the real world throws a wrench into their plans, as does an event and a key decision that may change the team forever. Expect giants, expect dragons, expect Quantum being as maverick as ever, expect a few twists and surprises as the Dream Team's membership grows by one and Quantum is finally able to use his favorite Loop weapons in Tritania.

Always an adventure to "dive" back into this series with Quantum and crew.
Part of what makes this story fun is listening to it in audio form. I enjoy here's Jeff Hays voice the story, bringing their personalities to life through voice.
Quantum is on a mission. Quantum's snark and humor is something I always look forward to. He makes me laugh. Everyone once in a while I have to stop and think on that line, then I laugh when I get it. lol.
The adventures in the gaming world are fun. Quantum... he makes the adventures extraordinary. Quantum usually has a "plan" that's off the cuff and out in left field. And somehow they work out! This is what I enjoy, the out of the ordinary actions and thinking. In a gaming world, that's great because it's a game. But, what about in the real world...
In the real world, Quantum's struggle with FDA who "helps" monitor everyone's eating habits. Hahaha. It's a hoot with them emailing Quantum. And Quantum's responses. lol But Quantum does have some serious situations to face in the real world, the world he's coming back around to after being in the game world for so many years.
Quantum deals with the obstacles of the real world and how people are monitored for their health. Along with finding his arch enemy.
Fights and sarcasm. I enjoy hearing these in voice as they really carry through. Fun!
The series continues to get funnier. There are endless hilarious descriptions of events and people from Quantum's point of view. Whether it's elvish queens or poop monsters in his fantasy RPG world, author Harmon Cooper has a funny description.
The plot is in a typical RPG quest format. They are trying to defeat the despicable archvillain Godsick, who used to be Quantum's partner in rescuing people from the virtual universe. Godsick is a multi-billionaire and owns media and politicians. But his weakness is his son, who's also hidden in the fantasy world.
They fly with their dragon to the highest level of the fantasy world and meet with the Queen of Fairies to help them get Godsick's son. Although imperious, she's willing to help them, if they get rid of a plague of giants.
So there's your plot. Mr. Cooper keeps adding new and interesting characters to their team. Wait until you meet Olivia. She's super capable and knows it.
( Format : audiobook ) "Welcome to the twenty fifties." Quantum Hughes spent two (or eight) years trying to get back to real life. Now that he has, with all of the obsessively invasive monitoring programs introduced since he went away, he's beginning to wish he was back in the loop. But with reapers still around, the Dream Team's search for Luther Goodsick becomes ever more urgent.
This, the fourth in the Feedback Loop series, continues to amuse and excite with all of Harmon Cooper's humourous dialogue, characters and action. And with the excellent Jeff Hays narrating, this is another must have book. Whilst Reapers and Repercussions can be read as a stand alone, if you have not yet read the earlier books, why deny yourself the pleasure? Start with book one: it is a terrific LitRPG series.

I waited a long time for this audiobook, the fourth book in the Feadback Loop series, and it was well worth the wait. Jeff Hayes does a terrific job bringing the story to life, and the book is every bit as good as the previous books in the series. The story is full of action and humor with a bit of grittiness mixed in. This book would probably work fine independently, but I'd hate to have missed out on any of the previous books!
Contains violence, some cussing, sexual conversations, and a "fade to black" sex scene.
The story continues where it left off and is full of action. The comedy is great among the character interactions. Some very unique characters for the game world, such as a fecal pixie were funny to listen to. Great pacing and the action is non-stop. Jeff Hays unique voices for the characters is another reason this is a must listen.
I really enjoyed this installation of the series. It was nice to have some more stability in the environment which I really enjoyed from the previous book. The plot felt like a step in the grand scheme of things.
I enjoyed this book it's funny and full of interesting characters and the world building is great and best of all it's narrated by the great Jeff Hayes
As I'm not a fan of high-fantasy, dragons, and LARPing, this installment of The Feedback Loop, Reapers and Repercussions, went a little too long in Tritania; namely the role-based tournament. I was much more interested in the RL snatch-and-go operation. I greatly enjoyed the new view on the Reapers and seeing that fleshed out a bit.
What's up with Sophia? Stick up the Six or something else entirely? Time will tell. The Dream Team is back in the thick of things and the Yin to Yang's Proxima World is quite intriguing. I assume this too will play out in future installments.
Although Quantum still longs for his Feedback Loop (at least the world and characters), he is showing growth for RL. Of all the things I could say, as an avid reader, I almost miss the free-flow that Cooper usually splats upon his readers. By that, I mean this is the most polished (his) material I've read to date.
Big points for introducing some long-dead terms to readers. And as far as high-fantasy goes - at least there is a Fecal Pixie!
Author provided digital copy for review. 4.3/5 Stars
Okay now that Quantum Hughes and his team have a goal to get Luther Godsick out of the Proxima world that he's trapped in... things are seemingly looking up for the team. But time is not on their side. While Jeff Hays and Soundbooth Theater was in top form as he narrated this book!
If you purchase the four vol boxed audio version, you'll not only save money but you'll find a bonus short story tucked in at the end. So go ahead and grab this boxed set so you don't miss anything.
And here's the final quote that I'll leave you with:
"2058 state of country music which has somehow merged with rap, rock, pop and dance beats to create something akin to ear cancer."
Personally speaking, this is THE funniest Feedback Loop book so far in the series. I giggled and snorted my way through (not pretty, I can assure you). The banter between the characters is just fantastic. Being a Scot, I just love the banter! Each book gets better and better. I was really surprised to find out that this was the longest book, as it certainly doesn't feel that way whilst you're reading it.
Action, adventure, great characters, Quantum's rebellious and out of orbit ideas, and his legendary Inventory List, all fit together nicely for another virtual quest.
I can't recommend this series, or the author's other works, highly enough. Excellent!
I received this in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.
Another cracking hit, the fast pace of the series the cool toys and of course some of the characters development keeps it all fresh and exciting. Best bit is there is another book to read straight after this one, always a problem when your on a role.
OMG!! This is such a fantastic book and I'm not done with it yet. There are some hilarious 'attacks' that are really a kick in the pants. I am going to have to buy the next book soon.
