I admit, that when I first saw the previews for the 3D movie Kung Fu Panda, I was not impressed. In fact, I did not want to see the movie at all. And then I got this book, "The Art of Kung Fu Panda" and my resolve to not see the movie crumbled into nothing. The artwork in this book is amazing, from the fun and creative character designs, to the beautiful layouts and concept paintings. This book made me really excited about seeing the movie, which I did. And the movie, like the book, is great.

I must admit I didn't watch the movie, but this great little art-book made me reconsider my decision to skip it. Kung Fu Panda, here I come.

This is the second artbook from a Dreamworks movie that I own.
As always, the art is GORGEOUS. You also have very fun facts about the making of the movie : concerning the plot, the characters' design and other things.
What I also like about those art books is that it shows again how much work they put into a film. And I feel very lucky to be able to witness such good art :)

Very complete and fun art book. Contains everything: raw designs, storyboards, landscapes, we can see second character’s relevance and even the color palette of some screen shoots. There are many many full color images.

I found this book to be incredibly inspiring. When you see an animated film, you're usually blown away with the attention to detail and the subtle movements that bring characters to life, but then you get a hold of a book like this and you suddenly realize all the work put behind everything (the 'building blocks' of the film) is just as spectacular. I thoroughly enjoyed the entire book and all its vivid images, but I could not get enough of Nicolas Marlet's character designs! His work is absolutely fun to skim through. How he manages to convey personality from a few sketches is beyond me, but I am in love with his work.

I found this book not long after viewing the movie, and I love it. Regardless of the fact that the film was computer generated, there's still a lot of art that goes into the character design and pre-production phases. I especially enjoy the section on the characters themselves; each was wonderfully done, and it shows you some of the finer points that you don't necessarily pick up on while watching the film.

Very wonderful book, so many pictures, painting and characters info, it's as mentioned in parkablogs.com/ a must have book, sadly the price was so high but I manage to by it, all thanking to Allah and his blessings, I enjoyed the book from cover to cover, amazing indeed..

كتاب أقل مايمكنني قوله عنه هو أنه رائع للغاية، غني بالرسوم والتفاصيل، كتاب جميل وطابعه أجمل، سرني أنني استطعت الحصول عليه ^_^
