This book is about the roots of American comics, which stem from the newspaper comic strips in the end of the 19th century, and from the developing consumer society. The book could have been better if it had more images as examples (it is a book about comics after all), but even as it is, it will be interesting for anybody interested in comics as a medium and its history.
