Read THE GATHERING FIRST to see how it all begins. BRODRICK is #23 in the series.
Larkin Nash never had a fairy godmother. The doctorate degree she just earned, she earned on her own, sacrificing everything to avoid a monstrous student debt. It's finally time to toss out the Top Ramen. But she'll have to be careful on her first emergency call, or the magic carpet she’s bought and paid for will be pulled out from under her. As one of Culloden’s 79 ghosts who have been granted another taste of life, Brodrick Shaw has already failed his mortal quest. If he hadn’t wasted time arguing with a certain witch, he might have arrived in time to save a man’s life. All he can do now is wait for that witch to collect him and send him on to God’s judgment. But he'll be damned if he'll wait behind bars. Happily, there is a beautiful lass within his reach who holds the key to more than just a door or two. In fact, she’s so appealing he’s willing to ignore the fact that she’s a spoilt American like the ones who once made his ghostly blood boil. Of course, he’s dead wrong.
*You're about to learn the significance of the lads' numbers.
Great action beginning to end with witty dialogue and sumptuous descriptions. And the RV couple were a hoot. I’m thrilled that there are still more books by L L Muir to go. A devoted reading addict
Broderick has a heart of gold! And his eyeshadow set in the woman whom he has waited over 200 years for -be assured he will never let her out of his sight. Excellent read!
This is another fantastic book written by a great author. This one starts with the characters already in play, not waiting to be summoned from the moor. Though I missed reading about Brodrick's background, I enjoyed the style of writing.
Broderick and Larkin are two souls that are fated to meet and fall in love no matter what century they are from! I enjoyed the story from the beginning to the very end!
What an epic adventure and a mystery all wrapped in one. Can't help but love this couple! They are made for each other and it shows. The series has been a lot of fun to read.

This book made me laugh because Brodrick was put about to put in the mental hospital and his woman Larkin was a psychologist. Imagine 300 year old ghost needing a psychologist oh yeah he does!!! I fell out!! But the story was actually good poor Larkin was having a bad day that just kept getting worse. Until she meet Brodrick then she ended up an accused murderer and on the run. LOL... You have got to read this it is too funny! I loved it!!
Another great ghostie story. I liked the bit more insight into our 79. L.L.Muir writes each tale in a manner that draws us into the individual story, as well as keeps building interest for the stories to come. I'm torn between wanting more immediately, and yet not wanting to go through all the lads too quickly.
This book deserves a six. It begins with such suspense. Now that we are familar with the premise if this series, the author skips the Culloden Moor transformation and takes us right to the heart of the story. This was fast paced and intense. I loved it.
How do you still manage to make me cry, even after all these books? One again, fantastic little read. Short enough to be read in one sitting, but well written enough to stay with you for a life time.
