I would use this book to show the different types of weather and how animals and humans are affected. It brings awareness to the world around us. This book can be good for looking at the pictures to bring meaning to different words. For instance, on the page “Will it be warm?”, it shows pictures of the sun out, people in shorts and tee shirts, people in the water, and children playing. It illustrates that on a warm day, people can enjoy specific activities that can only occur on warm days. Since it also shows how some animals may or may not be affected by certain types of weather conditions, I can use those illustrations to show the animals’ habitat and describe where fish/moles/lizards live.

We read this book in tutoring. It is level H. The rhyming text is fun to read, and helpful for practicing pronunciation. Kids say that adults are boring because they always talk about the weather. This book may not have the most gripping subject matter for kids, but the cut-paper illustrations are beautiful and add a lot to the experience. I recommend it for adults learning English or for any grade of readers, from pre-K to 5th, to introduce the topic of weather and weather vocabulary.

This book would be a great read at the kindergarten level when discussing the weather! Although simple writing, the illustrations are very helpful in figuring out the weather. I enjoy how it includes a question at the end which could lead to a class discussion. Will read in my future classroom!

Perfect to read to kindergarten attempting to explain how they can guess what the weather will be like the next day. Fun book with very little words.

This book would be great to use in the classroom to learn about weather, the seasons or climate in different regions. It has a rhyming text that goes through various types of weather asking questions such as “Will it be windy?” “Will there be snow?” Then the text states that some places will be cloudy, while others are sunny. The text is vary basic, but provides a good introduction to weather for young students.

I read this book to my first grade class. Over half of the children knew many things about weather, so this book was an easy read. This book is helpful to pre-k children learning about weather and kindergarteners that are learning to read and learning about weather. This wasn't one of my favorites, but it could be a good teaching tool.

This didn't appeal to my two year old. Not enough story, perhaps. For my part, I doubt all the animals wake up wondering about the weather, and paper collage illustrations never seem as friendly as pen and ink ones.

This book allows students to explore weather in a variety of places. Readers are taken to all different environments, such as desserts and oceans. Children are asked questions about the weather or lack of weather towards the end of the book. This book is fun to read on a rainy day.

This book could be used in a younger elementary science lesson. Kids could be taken outside to draw pictures about what the weather looks like that day. Teaches kids about thermometers and identifying weather.

This book gives a lot of great information about various places, the weather patterns that these places have, and the animals that live there. This would be a great book for several reasons. The pictures were nice. Would be great for discussing weather.

Nice book for teaching young ones about the weather. I liked the small details indicating specific changes in each form of weather (ex. Umbrellas blowing in the storm, dog enjoying a swim in the warm river water, and a rainbow 'tween the sun and the rain.) ☂☄

Teaching Hermione (age 3) about weather and this was a good simple book. We really focused on the pictures and what people do during certain weather changes.
