Alina Deluca has always been scared of Erick Stayton. Not just because he's a vampire who has always lusted after her blood and been a jerk her entire life, but because of something he did to her when she was 19. The horrors of that incident had haunted her till this very day. But when has fate ever played fair?
Now at 21, she has a life of her own, a steady job and an appartment she considers her heaven, in short, she's finally moved on and leading a normal life away from the supernatural horrors of the past. But when she thought that she could finally be happy, a saituaton arises and she suddenly finds herself engaged to the very person she never wanted to see for the rest of her life.
Trapped in a loveless arranged marriage to her tormentor is like living hell. But then again, love has a habit of blooming in the most bloodiest minds and darkest of hearts.
I love to paint, write stories and poems, and READDDDD!!! I’m a feminist (kinda) and I hate it when cute little girls are pushed around and get hurt by the bad boys and the players, so I try to get back at ’em… through my stories. I like to read a lot of stuff, but they are almost all supernatural. Vampires, lycans, zombies… you name it. Just… not the kind of zombies that fall apart. *yuck*
Damn, fuckin damn...I don't really know what to say here... The blurb was so alluring and I was so giddy to read more about it BUT then when I started, the occurances in the storyline were so fuckin confusing...
I hate to say what I'm about to say about this book...*sigh* cause it could have been soooo fuckin good but instead it was meeeh, clumsy in presentation and absolutely dull in characterisation.
Considering this is a fantasy/paranormal genre which is almost the equivalent of imagination abundancy BUT when you fuck around the very well known facts about the vamps and mess up the consistency of the over-abundant info, than well...you need to explain that better in the story if you decided to take that road in the first place :/
sorry, this could have been truly amazing story BUT all it ended up being is a falsly flaunty, piled up mess of inconsistent characters (that I felt nothing for, to begin with) and hasty manner of unraveling story leaving out only the general premise of the storyline itself as smth that could have been amazing but never fully reached its potential, if you catch my drift!
The Vampire's Bride was a complete surprise to me. I keep thinking during the beginning I am not going to like this story because it switches back forth between the H/H Alina Deluca human and Erick Stayton Vampire Prince. Also, I don't like it when a female is abused. How wrong I was. I was as wrong about Erick as Alina was. The author Anna Kendra does a great job of revealing the truth about the sudden but brutal attack by Erick Alina's betroth on her. The two had been pledge into marriage as soon as Alina was born. She never liked Erick but after he attacked her she hated him. Alina had vowed to her mother before she died that she would honor her and her fathers wishes for her to marry Erick. I like how trust is restored and love starts blooms before they are married!!
Erick is the son of Valroy and Kenna Stayton who are the King and Queen of the Vampire world. Erick also, has a diabolical twin who is trying to kill him and destroy Alina. In this vampire world twins are not allowed to be raised together the parents can keep the heir or first born twin but must abandon the second born twin. There are reason for this that pans out and is not as cruel has one might believe.
TVB has lots of twist and turns and few surprises. The characters are well written and there is a developed back story to explain everything. There are a few problems of repetition and the layout or format of the story was odd. However, for all you Vampire Romance story lovers out there is a very good story!!
OK OK, I took one for the team! I did not care for this story. I couldn't get through it fast enough and if I wasn't trying to read 150 books by the end of the year, then I would have dropped it without finishing the story. The story line had potential, but I felt this story was written for teenagers than adults. The story revolves around Erick and Alina who are betrothed to be married. Alina initially hates Erick because of an unspeakable act he committed against her. Plagued with guilt, he tries to make it up to her as she realizes there was more to the unspeakable act than she expected. Needless to say as their wedding day approaches, an Ancient being tries to destroy Erick's family and kill his new bride. Like I said, there was potential but it was too juvenile for my liking. I won't dare mention the spelling or word usage errors which turned me off even more. You won't miss much if you bypass this vampire story, trust me.
Okay, so I started reading this in Wattpad and midway I realized that I had this book on my TBR pile!
I could not stop reading this! I was instantly hooked on the first chapters, it was that good. I'm telling you I felt the scenes and emotions of the book, it was quite fast-paced. There were lots of actions so no bore moments. Quite steamy as well. ;) Oh, and the plot was nice. Kind of reminded me of the Percy Jackson series, if you know what I mean *wink wink* The genesis of the supernatural world, the different characters and twists. So, really looking forward to the coming books of the series, so hope it goes out soon! *squeals*
Why was it, that the Wattpad sample of this book, was better than the entirety of the book itself? This book was one that I discovered on Wattpad, which should’ve been a warning but honestly I really didn’t care and I thought it was good. But, when I finished the full copy of it, it wasn’t worth it.
Alina was a bit of a pick me girl, and also an “I’m not like other girls” type of person. Erick, well, first of all the spelling of his name was weird, was annoying, and had no character development. Neither did Alina.
There was also either too much description about stuff at certain points, and at others, namely the majority of the book, had too little. For starters, the only thing that I remember about Erick, was that he was blonde. I couldn’t really find anything about Alina, but I think that it said at one point that she had red hair?
Yes, the tragedy that befell her during the first few chapters of the book was terrible, and it wasn’t Erick’s fault, but I still don’t think she should have forgiven him that easily. I’m not saying that she shouldn’t forgive him, but, maybe she should’ve made him work a little harder for her to accept his apology. Also, I don’t see why she developed that friendship with his brother, because he was literally the one that made her husband do that.
Anyways if I had to describe a scent for one of these people (yeah I know this is weird), I’d say for Alina, it’s cardboard. And for Eric, I’d have to say the stereotypical, moody, bad boy scent of Axe.
Even though I know not many people who read this type of cliché romance, even if I met someone who did, I would not recommend this book. It’s like 316 pages of big fat disappointment. 3/5 stars.
Good book . A lot of twist and turns. Eric prince of vampires has been engaged to a human since he was a kid growing up he bullied her and she was thrown into a battle she would never known till years later. While trying to protect and woo his soon be bride he so has a twin causing harm to his people. Good book keep me turning theboages
We meet Alina who has been arranged to marry Erick; however due to very unfortunate events, Alina is wary (and rightfully so) of Erick. She doesn’t trust him and shouldn’t.
What is unknown to them both is that there are forces working against them and it is to their benefit and newly formed mating bond that they find common ground to figure out this “Who done it?”.
There are secrets which will be revealed, changes will be made and happiness will be found in The Vampire Bride.
Oh, before I forget I must add that this story is a bit (okay, a lot) YA (Where the hell is the intimacy??!!! Just one freaking PG scene, you gots to be kidding me!! I had to wait until 66% mark or page 198 of 291 for this ) – wish this was disclosed in the description - so it loses a Star, sorry.
this book is so awesome I can't believe anyone would give it a bad review 2 Stars is definitely not how to rate this book in fact I wish there were more than five stars to use. This book is well-written, well researched, and has so many plot twists that you would never predict what will happen next. It's not one of those books that you figure out the end in less than a few chapters. So do yourself a favor and read the book. Judge for yourself, it's really a good. One of my favorites and I have read over 400 books on Wattpad in the last couple years and have only made contact with three authors and she's one of them do yourself a favor read the book. I fully intend to buy the paper back when it comes out. Happy Reading
I actually quite enjoyed this book. I found myself to be invested in our heroine, and I had a love-hate relationship with the hero. I stayed up at night to finish this book, and I was not disappointed. Although I wish that some events were less rushed, I was overall happy with the results at the end. The twist at the end was somewhat predictable, but I still found myself to be invested after the fact. I think this is a pretty good book that many people would enjoy.
I love this book, the relationship and from all the drama in they life they fell in love. I always wait for the update but sometime i just can't wait so I will check my wattpad to see if the author has update the book or not. This is a good book to read and you will fall in love with, just like I did.
There are some serious plot twists going on in this book and I am super loving it. This is one of those books where you never know what’s coming. The first time I’ve read this on Wattpad, I ended up reading a couple more chapters than I intended to that day. Since then I was hooked. So excited to read the conclusion once it is published.
This book is one of my favorites. I loved how the storyline had all these plot twists. The author, Anna Kendra...Is amazing. Anna did a FANTASTIC job on this book. This book is definitely a MUST-READ!!!!
I have been reading this story on Wattpad, and I am so happy that it is going to be published at last. Now, I can read it on the go and reread it to my heart’s content. You can never go wrong with this book, I promise.
This should be a staple read for all supernatural fans! It’s so awesome, I can’t put it into words. Okay here’s the idea, if you want to read a book that talks about a lot of supernatural creatures, this is it for you. Seriously, try it. :)
I really love this book. I love how it turned from a purely vampire story to a narrative that carefully combines all paranormal creatures into one universe. On top of that, the plot twists are insanely good. 5 out of 5 will recommend it for everyone.
I have read a couple of books written by this author (both published and on Wattpad), and I have never been disappointed. I expect the same from this book. I will definitely be one of the first buyers when this comes out.
I love this book, what a great paranormal book where for a change the hero wasn't a manwhore. Am definitely gonna read more books from this author. It's my first book from this author and she rocks.
