A fun ending to the origin story of Gray and how he joined Fairy Tail. This volume continues his journey. He has some adventures before finally arriving and there are cameos from Fairy Tail characters. Everything goes very fast since this is two volumes but it is a cute, fun sidetrack for Fairy Tail fans. Get both books, though, and read them together!

Following Gildarts' Advice
Inspired by Gildarts' wisdom, Gray sets his sights on Magnolia, guided by the belief that creating magic is the essence of freedom.

Meeting Pause
Along the way, Gray encounters Pause, a fellow young wizard with a mysterious mission. Despite their differences, the two form a strong bond as they journey towards Magnolia together.

Fateful Encounter
Upon arriving in Magnolia, Gray's life takes a pivotal turn as he meets the members of "Fairy Tail," leading to a fateful encounter that will shape his destiny and set him on a path of adventure and camaraderie with the renowned guild.

I love the gray's side story and more adventures for him traveling to the guild Fairy Tail ( which I proudly love and appreciate) but overall it is hilarious and nonstop comedy. Plus my favorite character is also in it aka before she become known as the rain woman. The characters are amazing even the guild master. I like the art style because it is different from the original drawing. I cannot wait to look forward to more of the Fairy Tail's side stories and favorable characters.

Strides better than the first volume. Like night and day better. The story was way better paced and consistent. No jumping around like the first volume. Is this little side run necessary? No but I'm happy to have read it and add it to my collection!

Definitely could have been a stronger series, but it was vaguely enjoyable. It just didn't add much to the original Fairy Tail story, which is my main gripe with side stories and prequels in general.

Meh, didn’t hold a candle to Fairy Tail. Felt like a prequel story that didn’t need to be told.
