POPSUGAR: MYTHICAL CREATURE
A spellbindingly beautiful, subtle, and wild book. I'm not sure how Enger was able to so seamlessly combine these somewhat dispirate descriptors, but the end result is an articulately balanced and slowly pulsing glow of a work that promises an amazing body of work.

Marie Enger has produce some haunting and beautiful artwork in this short story collection. It is a shorter work, but that just means you'll have more time to take in each gruesome drawing. The stories are loosely connected, there is a plague or a vampire thing running around causing trouble. I think if we get another one of these then we might get the end of the overall story, because this one doesn't seem to end. However, don't let that bother you, it is definitely worth hunting down and adding to your collection. Enger is going to be a huge name in the comic book world very soon, I can feel it, and this is your chance to get in on the ground floor.

Stark little vignettes set in a bleak world. All horror, no set-up. Bought this from her at HeroesCon after hearing her on a horror panel, and I'm glad I did.

Another book we picked up at HeroesCon. Part of me wishes there was more to the stories, but mostly I'm impressed by how much was fit into the space.
