Though I enjoyed this story, I didn't love it as much as the other two.

I loved the plot, I even liked Kierran and Wade, but their relationship development was not clear. It seemed that it was somehow implied and not that they came to know each other and starting falling for each other. I wish there was some emphasis on how they gravitated toward and warmed up to each other.

I'm really enjoying the books I read from this author! This story especially I enjoyed because it felt fresh and a bit different.

I loved that Wade was still a strong, independent character, not the typical omega that so many stories have. And I also loved the complexity of the world building in this one, where Malasin is this desolate place that is literally cursed, and magic is all out of whack and technology doesn't work right. Kierran has been cursed, and was captivated by how it affected everyone, and how Wade was so determined to break that curse. I liked the combination of shifters and magic in this!

I also liked that the resolution from the curse was not the end of the story, we got to see Wade and Kierran after, and get resolution for his parents, Lacey, and where they live. Definitely recommended to folks that like mpreg and some magic with their shifters!

I received this in exchange for an honest review. Thank you and I look forward to more from this author!

Shifters have been out for some time but some wolves fight their heritage by taking suppressants to hide their "other" and Wade's parents do just that. Wade fights against his preacher father and is forced to leave because he wants to accept his "other" and his father will have none of it.
Wade wanders in the desert heading to a werewolf safe haven and finds a shopkeeper who directs him to Malasin and the alpha Kierran. There is black magic here in the form of a wicked curse that was set on Kierran by his dead wife Helen. But how was the loving between Wade and Kierran connected to the curse? This omega and this alpha make tremendous sacrifices believing they only have a single choice. On their journey to resolving this terrible curse is the crusty housekeeper Laney who has hidden secrets of her own. They fight their mutual attraction to save their mutual souls and the life they want to have with each other. The ending is a HEA but the trials each must go through is what makes this an omega/alpha story with a great twist. I got an ARC from the author and by Booksprout for this review and it was a pleasure reading it.

Kieran is cursed and living in a cursed land, as alpha werewolf of this magic land. All werewolf land is magic.
Wade is trying to get to Rada a werewolf land, he has taken supers sant his whole life and kept his wolf away. His father is a preacher who believes they will become human gain if they deny their wolf long enough. He enforced his be life's with his fists when disobeyed.
Wade ends up changing into his wolf to survive the harsh desert he is train through. He stops at Kierrans and feels he should stay, even though he is told to leave.
Their journey to love is difficult because of the curse, see if they have what it takes to over come the curse and find happiness.
This book is full of magic, good and bad, different from most werewolf stories.

I absolutely adored this book. Primarily because Kierran tried his hardest to help Wade while trying to keep him safe from the curse that befalls all the omegas Kierran has met. He's also fighting his own heart and hopes and dreams....sigh. what an amazing man to do his utmost to help someone while knowing that it will cause himself so much pain and heartache. Wade has his own battles to win and his own demons to fight....not least is his parents and their attitudes towards what they are (how can they fight nature? And yes the parallels are not lost on me!)
Oh and I loved the grouchy and grumpy Laney. ..she is so my twin!
I have read a few M.H. Silver books and I have loved each and every one. There's something compelling about the struggles that the characters go through and the way that their story unfolds that has me waiting impatiently for the next book to be released.

This is a well written book with an intriguing story line. The author brings strong characters and weaves a story filled with drama, mystery, suspense and secrets as well as the growing love between Wade and Kierran. It's a story that captured and held me from start to finish and had me turning the pages as fast as I could. Malasin is cursed .. can the two men finally break it together? The author moves the story quickly and smoothly and tells a story so engrossing you won't want to stop reading till you reach the end. Highly recommend this book.

Kierran is trapped by a curse with no way to escape. Wade never conformed to what his parents thought was Holy. Neither can contain their attraction, but his past doesn't want to let him move on. Will Wade be able to find a way to break the curse before it is to late? Will Wade finally know the true meaning of family?

Loved the connection between these two. I loved how Wade never gave in and never gave up on breaking the curse. I loved how Kierran was determined to do what he could to protect Wade. Great read!

Loved it. ....

This was the second book in the series. It was as good as the first if not better. The struggles to get past a curse and find a happy ending was heartwarming. I recommend this book. The series is worth reading. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in the series. I received this book as a complimentary ARC and this is my honest review.

First let me say WOW!!! I was blown away by this book. Even though it was darker than I expected, the way it was written perfectly balanced it. Even days later, I still can't find the words to describe how good this book is.

M.H. Silver's The Destined Omega is far from anything I've ever read, and I loved every page. It's suspensful, mysterious, steamy and romantic.

In this story, we meet Wade and Kerrian. Wade is an omega shifter in an extremely religious family where both being a shifter and being gay are unforgivable sins. As such, his family kicks him out. Kerrian is the Alpha of a mysterious estate/land called Malasin. Nothing grows there and Kerrian is at the center of an infamous and lethal curse. Everyone who visits Malasin never lives long and Wade, after stumbling along trying to find Rada, a safe haven, is the next unlucky soul to be drawn into the dark cursed Malasin. He plans to eventually leave, but something keeps drawing him deeper into the world. Is it Kerrian, or is it Malasin? Both are equally dangerous, but only one will actually kill him.

So this story. It started out fine we see Wade roaming the desert after being left without family, friends, or a home. Shifters in the story, for the most part are cursed, terrible, and sinful creatures. For as along as he could remember he's been taking shifter suppressants, but after being kicked out he stops taking them, hoping to make it to a place where he'll be safe. When we get to him meeting Kerrian, we get the hot attraction between the two, but it also starts the mystery and intrigue. Wade shows up even after being warned about the curse. We get more personality than a clear understanding of the plot in the beginning. Being a shifter and gay is bad enough for Wade, but being an omega is worse. Wade is a very mellow character, but with a strong and feisty personality. Kerrian is a brooding, cryptic alpha with baggage too terrible for Wade to understand.

Wade, when he stays at Kerrian's place has to sleep in the basement and only come out when he's let out in the morning. It's a hard thing to do with all the screaming. As the length and duration of Wade's stay rolls through weird things start happening. He hears little about the curse he's been told about. When something happens and he's forced to leave, he ends up coming back. When he returns is when we see more of the crux of the curse in the story. It's a lot of angst, but no real drama. There's very little romance in this, mostly magic, and mystical intrigue.

The pacing is very slow the only thing that really kept me interested was the whole curse business because we don't get a lot of detail about it up front. I don't particularly like the the stays in the same place. I think that's what did it for me for this book negatively. It all happens in Malasin, but considering the place is desolate with no real descriptive appeal aside from the fact it epitomizes death rather drastically, there's nothing captivating about the location as far as the imagination goes. However, considering the whole thing with the curse, the way Malasin looks is pretty critical.

The characters were very one-dimensional in my opinion. Wade, Kerrian, Laney, Wade's parents and best friends are all rather forgettable characters. We get sporadic mentions of Wade's parents. They play an important role, but their characters are only mentioned and they only show up towards the end of the book. Laney is the grumpy old witch loyal to Kerrian, but outside of that nothing particularly special either.

Overall the writing was pretty good it was a captivating story, but it wasn't something I could say I was highly impressed by. I think it was just because I've never read a story this dark and mysterious before. I really liked that aspect about it. Everything else though was pretty straightforward and anticlimactic, but compared to others this was a good read. I feel like this will be a take it or leave it for some people, but definitely one of a kind. There are no half stars, but I would give this a 3.5-5 stars.

What else can I say? I liked it!

Intriguing but cute tale that began ominously, then got happy, cute and heartwarming, all at the same time. Kieran turns out to be so much more than simply frightening and heartless, as Wade first sees him. Deep down, Wade's well equipped, given his friendship with the late witch Sasha, to rid them of the evil curse, though it takes all of his and Kierran's combined love and determination to come out on top. Great read - definitely deserving of the max five stars.

*note: This books, takes place several years after the first book, The Captured Omega.

I'm completely enraptured by the world built in this series.

Here we find Wade, an Omega who has been thrown out of his crazy religious (werewolf) family. In his desperate search of other werewolves he stumbles upon a lonely territory said to be cursed. With no other options left, he approaches this 'cursed' place and meets the Alpha, Kierran.
He finds himself in a most mysterious place alright, with only the Alpha, one keeper and now, himself, the place truly does seem cursed, especially when Every night Kierran locks himself in his room and ghastly screams fill the night sky.

Though warned to stay away from the alpha's room and to leave altogether, Wade finds he's simply unable to. Besides the fact he has no where else to go, he feels there is something here, something he can do. Curiosity keeps him close to the tortured and lonely Kierran and gives him a drive to help break Kierran's curse.

But he soon finds out just what this curse has doomed all those before him to befall... especially when his heart is settled on loving the cursed Alpha.

I just love the magical element that is intricate to this world. The feel of this book is much darker but at the same time, more hopeful. I loved Kierran. The poor tormented alpha who simply wanted to do the right thing but was cursed for not being able to fulfill all his demands.
Wade was just the balm to his soul that Kierran needed. They sure to burn up the sheets and ah~
I'm just so happy at the outcome. Kierran finally has his freedom to be happy and Wade got the one thing he really wanted. Family.
That's the one thing I disliked. Wade's true family. They're real pieces of work right there... but I am so happy that at least his mother was strong enough to stand by her son. I so look forward to the next book in this world.

It will take this omega’s strength to break the alpha’s curse…
This was such an enjoyable read for me, from the first page we meet Wade after he’s been cast out by his family, I could feel my soft spot for him developing. Seeking sanctuary in Malasin, a desolate werewolf territory with skewed magic, his first cryptic encounter with the enigmatic Kierran sets the tone for this book, shrouded in mystery as it is. As the chemistry between the two builds, and we find out more about the tragedy shaping Kierran’s unusual behavior, I found myself disproportionately angry with Helen for being so poisoned by her grief. Clearly, my empathy was reserved for Kierran and Wade, but Laney won me over with her gruff façade hiding a clearly protective instinct towards Kierran.
I loved Wade’s determination in the face of skepticism that the curse could be broken, even as he gets plagued by increasingly dark thoughts as the dark magic tightens its hold. His unwavering faith that Malasin could be the oasis in his dreams, a sanctuary for him to build a new family in, was like a beacon as the curse demanded sacrifice. I ached for Kierran, who has been defeated by the curse for so long, barely dares to hope that he will ever have the life he craves but is powerless to resist the lure of the young omega. The weight he carries, burdened by the price Helen has extracted so far and the sure knowledge that he has condemned Wade, twisted me up. Loved this book.

Werewolves, witches and curses add in a crazy preacher for a father and you get "Destined Omega" a very interesting and enjoyable book by M.H Silver. The concept of an alpha cursed by his wife with her dying breath was something I've never read about before. I've read books with cursed werewolves before but never nothing this all encompassing. Helen not only cursed her husband, Kierran, but all the lands he owned and any one who he could potentially love. Kierran's despair is so deeply ingrained in him that he knows nothing else. He's lost all hope and has stopped trying to break the curse. Along comes Wade who has been forced to deny his werewolf nature his entire life. He's just lost his girlfriend and been kicked out of the only home he's known by his crazy preacher father. Wade is lost and desperate when he comes to Kierran's lands which he has been told is cursed but at this point he doesn't care, its either staying or dying. What is this curse, can it be broken, why is Wade falling for a man and why does it feel like this place is home? This book kept me captivated and on edge, I could not wait to see what happened next. I tried to understand Helen's rage and anger but couldn't. The emotions these characters had felt real and I just couldn't stop reading until I knew how it turned out for them. 4.5 stars

In the tradition of dark fairy tales, this story of a curse is delightfully creepy and highly satisfying. The suspense crackles as Wade tries to discover just what the curse is and to desperately find a way to break it. All the looming and despair was just great, without being too heavy-handed. There is plenty of backstory and the author teases it out over the course of the story, giving us more mysteries to wonder over. I liked how complex the solution wound up being, it didn't cheapen the seriousness of the curse and the realness of the danger by being quick or easy. The chemistry between Wade and Kiernan is perfect and the intimate scenes are really well done. The lore and worldbuilding around werewolves was interesting and original, as was the explanation for and process of giving birth. I really appreciated that the ending was thorough, not just some quickie epilogue tacked one. Lots of threads were gathered up finished off in a full story tapestry. This is definitely one of my favorite works by Silver.

Wade is wanting to find his true self and is out of time. He ends up the last place he needs to be. Kierran warns him to leave as soon as possible. It doesn't happen. Wade follows his heart, as he always has and gets into more trouble, but it gives them both the life they deserve, but only after they go through hell first.
Amazing story.

A story which is based on a curse is more annoying than an interesting story plot.
