They weren't joking with the title, this really is "the basics". Really, really basic.

If you've never seen a process map before, the 15 minutes that it will take to read this very short book will give you a (basic) introduction.

If you have any familarity at all with process maps, look for a different book.

2.5 stars rounded up. This book was rather dry, and felt rather inaccessible for having "basics" in the title. To be honest, most of the helpful stuff for me was in the last chapter and the appendix. I think the book could have been simpler and more accessible. Definitely don't start with this book if you need an intro to process mapping.

There are 2 editions of this book. 1996; 2011.The 1996 version IS both basic and very much like a pamphlet.I had nothing to do with the "e book"

This is a decent overview but it has many editorial mistakes, i.e., somebody didn't pay for copy editing.

It didn't over-promise, but still I expected more. It was really just a glorified pamphlet.
