Sidemen: The Book

Rate this book
Billions of you have watched their videos and millions of you have followed them on social media.

So here we go; it's time to back up because YouTube superstars, The Sidemen, are finally here in book form and they're dishing the dirt on each other as well as the YouTube universe.

There's nowhere to hide as KSI, Miniminter, Behzinga, Zerkaa,Vikkstar123, Wroetoshaw and Tobjizzle go in hard on their living habits, their football ability, and their dodgy clobber, while also talking Fifa, Vegas and superheroes. They'll also give you their grand house tour, letting you in on a few secrets, before showing you their hall of fame, as well as revealing some of their greatest shames.

Along the way you'll learn how seven of the world's biggest YouTube stars started off with nothing more than a computer console, a PC and a bad haircut before joining forces to crush the internet. And they'll tell you just how they did it (because they're nice like that) with their ultimate guide to YouTube while also sharing their memories of recording their favourite videos as well as a typical day in the life of The Sidemen.

You'll feel like you're with them every step of the way, smelling the 'sweet' aroma of the boys' favourite dishes in the kitchen, stamping your passport as you follow them on their trips around the world and kicking every ball as the boys gear up for the biggest football match of their lives.

It's going to get personal. It's going to get intense, and JJ is going to have lots of tantrums, so take a moment to prepare yourself, because this is The Sidemen book you've been waiting for!

*cringey fangirling ahead*

I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO EXCITED FOR A YOUTUBER BOOK IN MY LIFE. I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THE SIDEMEN TO WRITE A BOOK AND HERE WE ARE. YOOO I'M SO PROUD OF THE BOYS.

If you don't know who the Sidemen are, they are a group of Fifa youtubers. That's about it.
They mainly play Fifa but also make RL football videos, play other games and vlog. They all have their own channels but recently just made the Sidemen channel. Just watch them, you won't regret it.

As soon as I get my hands on this book, I'm gonna flip straight to the Simon chapters because he is the love of my life. He is the most beautiful, funniest, best football player, most original youtuber I've ever seen in my life. I mean.. just look at him:

LIKE I"M STILL NOT OVER SIMONS HALFWAY LINE GOAL FROM THE CHARITY MATCH: Here's a video of it if you wanna see it IF HE DOESNT TALK ABOUT THE GOAL IN THE BOOK I S2G I WILL UNSUBSCRIBE FROM HIM.

Anyways, I can't wait for the book to come out in 2 days, I'm sooo excited and I can't wait to fangirl some more about it on goodreads!

The Sidemen book is a non-fiction, biography and comedy book written by a group of Youtubers called the Sidemen. The book focuses on each of the member’s back story from childhood to present day. It also features tips on starting Youtube, random banter, milestones, etc. Usually, I am quite skeptical about Youtuber books but this one did not disappoint me. The writing itself felt very natural and was less formal than a usual biography, as if you were actually listening to them speak. Even though some of the content is a bit random, I felt it fit well with the whole overall vibe of the book. For example, the recipes are without a doubt are a bit out of place. You would also think the they would be complete jokes as well, but no they are genuine recipes. Nevertheless I thought the addition of their recipes was innovative. There are a lot of actual useful tips they include to help you start up a Youtube channel. Such as DO’S and DONT’S or equipment for your gaming setup. I also really appreciate the fact that each member’s biography is different. When I say that I do not mean their life story itself, I mean the way each section is written and presented is different from the other. The whole book itself is just a bunch of random banter. It stays true to who the Sidemen honestly are and how they portray themselves. In my opinion, I would go as far as saying that The Sidemen Book is now my favourite non-fiction book.

Well written!

The way that the Sidemen wrote this book is exactly like how they collaborate in a Sidemen video, which is really funny, and that's why I'm such a big fan of them. I'm really impressed by the way they present their contents, using the 'Sidemen way'.

I love these guys. They're some of the most humble, funny and down to earth guys on Youtube and their book doesn't disappoint. A quick but worth it read and a great break from all my studying!

The Sidemen book shows how 7 British boys start from small beginnings to become one of the biggest youtube sensations out on the internet. They talk about how they all met up and decided to form this group and all the struggles and the fun times they had. I personally really enjoyed this book as I've been watching them for years and it was really interesting to see how they got together and progressed.

The Sidemen: I have read the Sidemen Book six times both in hardback and Audible both I love so much. There was a moment there back in 2015-2016 were it felt like every youtuber was releasing a book but there was not one that I was more excited about then The Sidemen book 4years later and I still love it to bits.

All in all it was pretty bland, with more of a comedic insight than a serious gritty one.

Been watching the lads for a couple of years now and wanted to read this book for a while. The other day I found this book in the charity shop for 50p (bargain) and knew I needed to get it. I liked the book as I feel like I know the guys a little more now and the book was overall very enjoyable. If you want a nice easy read, I would very much recommend to you if you like the videos the lads make. Since the book is a few years old, some of it now seems quite outdsted and since I've watched so many of their videos, I didn't learn that much new stuff about them. I would like to listen to the audio book since I think it would feel like a podcast so would be slightly more fun than reading the physical hard book.

I listened to the audio book which was like a 5 hour long sidemen podcast, which at times is cool but also drags a bit with some kinda lazy and boring topics, though I do like the sidemen so hearing them just talk to each other like a podcast and talk about how they met was nice, but he wasn’t actually a good book so can’t give it higher than 2 stars.

For as good as they are with their normal content I was surprised about how poor this was. The whole book is pretty much a few sections of who they are, important moments to them and some questions from a third party. It just all feels canned, the audiobook doesn't feel natural at all, their chemistry pulls it together but it's still not their best work.

3.5 stars rounded up
I gave it this rating because I do love the sidemen but it wasn't a book that you can read... like a book book. I flipped through it and flip through it now and then hence the rounded-up rating over the rounded-down rating. I'm excited to watch the documentary when it comes out in the US.

I would recommend this book for any sidemen fan and its a nice book that you don't have to read all the way through. As it's not a full novel you can flick through it on random pages and enjoy it like that.

the sidemen book is a great book talking about the YouTube group called the sidemen. i would call it 7 biography's in one book. each chapter is about 1 of the sidemens life's leading up to joining the sidemen. i would recommend this book to people who know who the sidemen are.

This book was funny and had a lot of humor in it. The book is about seven friends that joined and made a group called the Sidemen. This group is a gaming group but now even more things such as football matches for charity. The book tells the background of each person and much more.

im not entirely sure why I read this book (I actually really like the sidemen but obviously books aren’t exactly their brand) felt like I was reading a children’s book which is probably the majority of their demographic anyway.

(No hate, I like the sidemen)

This book was amazing since I had lots of images and drawings and still had a lot of words but you could tell who was speaking because they put letters of first names so you could tell who was saying what so it wasn’t just like reading a picture book or reading a novel that just has words.

Listened to an audiobook first and recently bought the actual book. Both versions are hilarious and clearly represent the various personalities of the Sidemen. Definitely worth a read.
