This is a graphic medical mystery with the domestic, yet hard-minded Dr. Jean Montrose. The plot is somewhat predictable, yet still engrossing.

Soon Dr. Montrose is rubbing shoulders with the upper crust to examine dark secrets and deadly lies. She must also confirm a medical suspicion and put into operation a risky plan that may catch a killer -- or make the next corpse Niven finds her own ..."
~~back cover

As usual, a tangled web of unho9ly appetites and murder committed to hide the evidence and escape the consequences. However, as usual, the guilty reckoned without the dynamic duo of Jean Montrose and Detective Inspector Douglas Niven. Highly entertaining!
