Willow's search for magic has led her to some strange worlds with mysterious creatures, fantastical spells, lost love, and new friends (as well as enemies). As her journey speeds toward its end, Willow lands within a rather morbid landscape where the greatest evil she'll have to confront is herself if she's ever to make it home again. * Buffy Season 9 continues with Willow's story!
Nice finale to a very interesting mini series. The climax of this story was great, I liked the use of Rack. I feel like Willow may have really found some purpose and peace and hope she continues on with the outlook she achieved at the end of this book.
This came to an ending that I didn't expect, but that I'm pleased with. It was quite an epic issue, but was pulled off well. I'm satisfied with the direction they ended up taking and think it'll have very interesting consequences for the final arc of the Buffy title. I'm really looking forward to seeing how Season 9 is finished off now. Intriguing.
Overall: A very strong mini-series that really does add something to the over all story. Not amazing art, but it suited the story and was well done.
This is the final issue in this particular series. Willow has a major battle but that's not really the major point of the issue. It's a metaphysical question that Willow is having to deal with, reconciling the tremendous good that is inside her with the evil that is also there.
She has to consider if trying to bring magic back to the entire world is the way to go, or whether to proceed in small steps.
It's a good issue when considered on the metaphysical basis.
Like the rest of this mini series, the cover art is gorgeous and some moments are reminiscient of the Buffy series and the character of Willow I love, but all in all so far removed that I don't really see it as part of the canon. But then, that ended for me with the tv series anyway.
