USA TODAY BESTSELLING AUTHOR SUE LYNDON writes naughty, heartfelt romance filled with sexy discipline, breathless surrender, and scorching hot passion. Hard alpha males, strict husbands, fierce alien warriors, and stern daddy-doms make her go weak in the knees. She’s a #1 Amazon bestseller in multiple categories, including Sci-Fi Romance, Historical Romance, BDSM Erotica, and Fantasy Romance. She also writes vanilla sci-fi romance under the name Sue Mercury—but no matter the genre or pen name, her books always have a swoon-worthy happily ever after.
Marriage of Convenience really didn’t do it for me. At all. There’s isn’t enough spanking/impact play, discipline, or erotica for me in this one.
I hate to say it but this one was incredibly boring to be so short! I could barely remember the hero/ine’s names…and I ended up skimming trying to find something interesting to read.
I read the synopsis for this was intrigued. Even though this is set in the 1950s, don’t let that fool you. This short story is full of spankings and smut scenes. If that’s not your thing then you might want to skip this one.
I enjoyed the characters and the timeline of how everything took place. I did, however, have an issue with how long it took for Betty’s secrets to come out. It could have been handled better than that.
This was my first book by Sue Lyndon, but it won’t be my last.
This was a short, sweet and super sexy story! A young college girl has to meet with her college advisor. Her family wants to see.her married by summer. He must find a wife quickly for several reasons. They meet and sparks fly! I loved this story! It was a quick read, but it was fun, and really hot!! I'll definitely be reading more of her books!
This is a sweet and steamy romance between a younger college student named Betty and her older professor named David. Betty was constantly being harassed by her aunt and parents to get married. There were many rumors about Dr David Bauer on campus and he was told by the college president that he needs to get married to remain at the college and get tenor. Betty had to go see her college advisor (David) about a disciplinary matter. What happens is a marriage of convenience which ends up a marriage of love.
Sue Lyndon writes spanking romances as well as anyone, and better than most. This book is the first I've read that got lots of details right. Thanks for the time warp!
1950's spanking fetish. Betty is a college student that has to get a husband by summer, David is a widower professor who must find a wife to keep his position and gain tenure. They can solve each others problems, but Betty is hiding shameful secrets and David is into spanking.
A short but super sexy sweet yet naughty romance from the wonderful Sue Lyndon this book is tad different as it is set 1950s so you have remember everything was different then but non the less you wont be able too put this riveting book down.
When Betty gets sent to her college adviser on a disciplinary matter, she could never have expected Dr. David Bauer to scold her, or for the matter making her stand in the corner, and after all that propose's marriage all within the spate of an hour. But that is exactly what happens, and out of utter need and desperation to get away from her family’s influence, Betty finds herself saying yes to the handsome widower's proposal.
David is rather a strict man but a fare one and he has no scruples in baring his wife’s behind for a spanking, but as firm as he is he is also a very patient and caring man. Betty feels o so blessed to be his wife, but she has these concerns that he just views their marriage as nothing more than a convenience.
Will he ever really love her, and how will he react when he learns of the secret that she has kept about her past?
I loved this book although it is not long but you get the right amount of everything character development setting the scene the romance even the tension it has it all which goes too show you what a great writer Miss Lyndon is.
I will admit i fell for David he was handsome caring strict... well everything you need and want in your fantasy man.
I loved and enjoyed reading the scorching, hot, tantalizing romantic story by the best selling author Sue Lyndon. I was captivated and engaged with the characters from the first until the last page and story line wonderfully written. Betty is sent to live with her aunt and go to school to find a husband and continue her education. Betty meets the powerful, dominant David. David's wife passed away and he is raising a young child on his own and the school board wants him married or gone. David is attracted to the submissive, beautiful Betty and asks Betty to be his wife. A marriage of convenience becomes an explosion of sexual attraction and abounding feelings for each other. Betty is unsure whether to tell David the whole truth about her indiscretion. Read the must read red-hot flaming and heartbreaking love story of Betty and David.
Set in the 1950s where women were only attending college to learn about being a wife and taking such subjects as sewing, cooking and household budgeting. I usually don't read these books set in this time period and this is probably my second or third such book (first being a Renee Rose book which I loved!). This one wasn't as good as the first of the genre that I'd read, but it wasn't too bad either. It has the domestic discipline/spanking and I am realizing that there is a difference between this and the other daddy books that I like and age-play, which I don't really like as much with all the diapers, sippy cups and the cutsey voices the 'littles' use. I am leaning more toward this type of sub-genre, but I think I do prefer that the setting be in a more contemporary setting than in the 1950s.
A young woman, Betty, sent away from her family in shame. A widowed college professor being forced to marry to keep his daughter and job. When these two are thrown together, it meets a need, her a husband, him a wife and mother for his daughter, and to appease the school. Oh, the journey these two travel. Secrets revealed shame that had to be dealt with, a new relationship. But not all secrets have come out, what will happen when they do? This story keeps the pages turning with this captivating tale from the 1950s. The interacting and dialog between David and Betty is heartwarming, and he teaches her so much more at home in the bedroom than she could ever imagine. I like that it does have an HEA ending.
I thoroughly enjoyed this 1950's romance. The characters are well written and likable. The author does a good job of portraying Betty's insecurity over her past and David's understanding. Even though it is a short story, it feels complete (but I would have enjoyed a small epilogue to let us know how that characters fared).
I enjoy this book and look forward to reading more of your work. I wish you continue success and I know your readers will find this book good as well. DH from New York City
