Giant insect thaws after millions of years loves people as snacks

This book is adapted from a screenplay by Martin Berkeley. Many of the pictures are stills from the movie. However, as with the rest of the books in the “Monster Series,” several drawings do not match. In the case of this book, the bug attacks the wrong building.

This is fun reading for your jungen and a good addition to the bug picture collection. Being 47 pages, he did a good job of condensing the story and still capturing the feel.

The story is that there used to be an extremely huge mantis that used to eat stuff that was about people's size. One that was frozen for millions of years is finally released.

A gigantic insect on its way to New York. This adaption of the screenplay is absolutely terrifying (look at all those scary black and white stills). Trouble in the Arctic, a weird object is found, the mystery deepens, menace from the past, its outside the window, its arrival in New York, its appearance in the tunnel and its final death. Another classic creeper from the past, more menacing than The Fly, it's the deadly mantis. Highly recommended"
