“You always loved my kisses,” says the handsome Souma. This is the situation Hana finds herself in whens he wakes up after an accident surrounded by her parents and a handsome man she doesn't know. Her parents seem at an utter loss as they tell her it is her fiance Souma. He seems sweet a first, but behind his mask lies a sadist who tells Hana that he is pissed off to have been forgotten.
Awe how wholesome...except it turns out he really is an asshole but she loves him for his asshole ways when he's not acting like 'prince charming' like he does in public...
...wait WHAT. Literally zero explanation as to why the man that loves her soooooo much acted like a complete jerk through the whole first volume.
Love the ending. And everything actually, except the beginning when that other guy confessed. My god, why do I have a feeling that every man in this book will try to rape a woman when they get turn down? Is that what he meant by not making her regret it? If a woman got rape and realized that she needs that man afterward, then I swear this world is doom.
The ending was surprisingly good! I didn't expect such a story from one of these manga.
Well, to be honest I didn't like the beginning of this third volume, where the other man tries to rape the protagonist. It happens a lot in these stories but... well, I wouldn't happily do without...
There was very little development of the characters and their backgrounds. I felt a little disappointed, and I hope the other books in this series are better.
I kept reading because I wanted to know what happened when she regained her memory. I guess I was expecting more from the ending and felt let down after the reveal.
