When Noah suffered a tragic loss as a young teen, he didn’t let that loss consume him. Instead, he channeled his grief, his fear, and his rage into his music. Thirteen years later, he and his best friends have clawed their way from the scrap heap of society to the top of alternative rock’s hierarchy with their band Resist. When guitarist and fellow omega Jonah steps down from the band, they hire the best available guitarist to step in for the coming summer tour. There’s just one problem. The guitarist is an alpha. His name is Damian, and he’s everything that Noah could want in an alpha. Will the specter of Noah’s past come between him and Damian and keep them from happiness? Damian has played for a couple of respectable rock bands in his time, but neither of them lasted very long. When an opportunity comes along to fill in for the pregnant guitarist for Damian’s favorite band, with the possibility of joining Resist full time, Damian jumps at the chance. Who wouldn’t? He didn’t expect the complication that is front man Noah Dare. Noah is the perfect omega for strong and independent, but sweet when they’re alone. Noah’s hiding a big secret, though. Will that secret keep them apart forever? Don't forget there are two free bonus books included! This is a non-shifter male pregnancy gay romance book. This book contains sexually explicit content not suited for those under the age of 18. The book is approximately 50,000 words, has a happy ending and does not end in a cliffhanger.
Are you familiar with Aiden Bates writing ? I think his sex scenes and feelings are awesome. * Star Struck. Here we have a rock band who needs a new guitarist. Their regular guy is having a baby and the summer tour is upon them. In walks Damian, Alpha hot and excellent guitarist. Noah, an Omega with a tragic past is the lead of this social justice band. Their messages reach out to youth to "be who you are" and not let prejudice win. The flow is amazing, the characters are deep and the sex is hot ! Noah avoids Alphas for a reason, and Damian can't help himself, as nature's urges are present; especially when they work so close together. Twists and turns, lead to problems for the band.
Finishes at 50%. * Omega's Anger. Jeff and David get together here. Omega David s a tailor and Jeff, beautiful, tall, Alpha, comes into the store. Our bad guy is Alpha Will, who just wants another notch on his "belt". An angst, drama, that has sadness with the love. Finishes at 89%. * Sexual Surveillance. A short, sexy story of Trent, undercover, who meets dynamic Darren and sparks fly ! ENJOY ! ============================== Three stories. Non-shifting, Alpha/Omega, Mpreg theme, but no preg. in first one. ==============================["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

I did enjoy reading this unusual story. Noah is holding everything close to him and is determined to never trust an Alpha, no matter what. He decided to not trust any Alpha was the lesson to be learned from his prior experiences and the counseling he received from someone he trusted. This is continually reinforced. Noah makes as many mistakes as Damien in any progress in their relationship. They continuously test each other without extending any hope or trust to the other. Nor do they actually have a real conversation, making it difficult for either one to fully express how they each feel.
I would have thought Noah the alpha had the story not pointed out he's the omega and to be honest I wasn't feeling the chemistry between Noah and Damian. From reading a lot of shifter books Damian didn't fall into the alpha catalog to me. The ending seemed to drop like off a cliff. Cliffhanger? Not quite, but left me feeling unfinished.
Apart from that, it's a good story with great decent storyline behind it to explain why Noah is the way he is.
I like this story. I'm not going to spoil the book for everyone, but I do want to say that I love that Aiden Bates decided to create a character outside the box. What I mean is, not all people that have children end up having a happy moment. Not everyone needs to fulfill a specific role that was society has set out for them. With that being said there is one thing that was irritating me a bit...
Damian is a goddamn moron! Seriously, who jumps to conclusions at this age? Everything is either cool with him or he's going to the extreme with his emotions. I understand that Alphas are the jealous type, but Damian comes off as someone who has never sorted his feelings in high schoo, but the further I read the book, the more I startt o get why he acts the way he does.
First of all let me say that this isn't really an mpreg story. Other than a secondary character and the fact that omega male pregnancy is possible, there is no pregnancy. I don't want to be giving any kind of spoiler but I feel that this is important for readers to know upfront because the title had me looking for it, some way, some how, until the very end of the story. The other thing that I was taken aback by was the abrupt ending. I went to turn the page and it was over. My Kindle shows the book actually ends at 50%, with the rest being taken up by a bonus story. The book did have it's strengths. For those who want high angst and personal tragedy, this is your book. I really enjoyed the details of band life, touring, and the music industry. I was reminded over and over again of one of Aiden's recent books Dragon Song in that way. In the end, I thought that this was just an okay book for me; not bad plot-wise and definitely well written but just not what I was expecting. *I received a free advance reader copy of this book in exchange for an honest & unbiased review.*
This was a story of rags to riches with Love as the out come!!!! Noah was a man who needed Damien in his life as much as the other "Three Musketeers" !!!!! Damien was brought into the family dynamics at the precise time Noah was ready. It's amazing to watch, feel, and travel with these characters. Aiden, you did very nice job !!! Thanks for sharing as always. I received this book free for giving a honest and unbiased review. Hugs...Kathy
This is another romantic story from Aiden Bates. What I love about these stories is that the Omega in the relationship is strong and brave and the Alpha is courageous, compassionate, and confident enough to be with a strong Omega. Damien is a great example of this. Noah has very thick walls around his heart for very good reasons. I loved his rags to riches story.
These books are seriously becoming my newest guilty pleasure. I'm really enjoying the added dynamic of alpha and omega traits, without the characters being shifters. Haven't figured out exactly HOW the omega males actually deliver their babies though...it's kind of stress sing me out!
I liked this alot more than i thought i would. ...well written and well developed i grew to love the characters and felt the love that built...hot but a bit angsty....just what i was in the mood for!
