This follows all the other ‘How to Catch’ books. We see the Easter Bunny delivering his Eggs and he is having to avoid all the traps people set to catch him.

He is very cute and wicked quick and he outsmarts the traps. The colors are bright and the pace is lightening. Many of the Easter Bunny lore are missing.

The Nephew and I both loved the Egg tree on one page. One of the nephews favorite movies when he was 3 and 4 was Hop about the Easter bunny. He thought this was cool, but it needed better traps. He gave this 5 stars. It’s all action, not so much substance, so he loved it.

I'm afraid I don't get it. I know the title of this book is How to Catch the Easter Bunny, but I don't understand why the Easter Bunny himself is detailing all the traps. Is trying to catch the Easter Bunny a thing? That wouldn't even have occurred to my sister and me when we were little. How would he deliver goodies to all the other kids if we caught him? (Maybe greedy little kids who want all the Easter eggs to themselves could go along with this premise. But the idea would have to be planted in their heads first.)

I don't like these books about trying to catch mythological creatures. (I had similar issues with How to Trap a Leprechaun by Sue Fliess and Emma Randall.) It's basically encouraging kidnapping, which I don't think is all that healthy a thing to be teaching. Okay, the rhyme scheme in this one is okay and the pictures are passable... but I just can't wrap my brain around the Easter Bunny suggesting all kinds of ways to trap him. How is that any different from a book with a deer talking about how you could hunt him down?

"You could use a great big rifle
or a trap upon the ground.
If you hear an awful screaming,
then it's me who made that sound."

(from the never-to-be published How to Catch Bambi)

I wasn't impressed. Maybe I should've known better going into this book what I was going to get. Still, I didn't expect the quarry to be giving the suggestions. That's just weird.

What kind of trap would you use to catch the Easter Bunny? This was a cute story that gives lots of ideas for traps for catching the Easter Bunny. Will any of them work? Will your idea for a trap be included?
If you're looking for a new picture book to share with children or students during the Easter season, this might be it. Or checkout this fun video from KidTimeStoryTime.

Such a cute story. Autumn loves this book! I read it to her and she started to cry when I started a different book. She stopped crying when I put the other book down and read this book for the second time. It has bright colorful pages.

Can a group of kids catch the clever Easter Bunny?
Watch and find out.

There's a great Peeps joke in there I appreciated.

This book features great descriptors on (what most Americans traditionally think of 'in the commercialized sense of the word' of Easter), as well as Easter traditions and cool facts about rabbits snuck in (from their ears/hearing, speed and carrots.)

One of my favorites and I'm not a big Easter fan, but this is a perfect Easter Bunny story.

As always love Wallace's writing and Enkerton's illustrations and the kids' crafty inventions!

This is another in Adam Wallace's series of how to catch the tooth fairy, a leprechan and this one. All in rhyme and shows the way children try to trap the bunny each year. Lots of fun and a great story starter for children in school to write their own ideas for a trap. And then tell what they get if they succeed. Colorful illustrations by Andy Elkerton, too.

How to Catch the Easter Bunny was a cute little rhyming holiday book filled with delightful full color pictures. It is sure to make Easter an even happier day when this book is found in a little one's basket. I received a digital copy from Edelweiss.

My son enjoyed this book because it got him into the Easter spirit and excited for the upcoming holiday. He also enjoyed all the different traps that have been used to try and catch the Easter bunny. It was a very cute book to celebrate the holiday.

This would be appropriate for early pre-school aged children. Not much of a plot - more of a book that would fill an Easter basket, be "read" a few times and donated.

How to Catch the Easter Bunny is a cute story to read to children. I think I would love to read it when Easter is coming up and I am letting my future students participate in an activity that celebrates Easter! It seems as though Adam Wallace has many books like these for many other holidays as well.

It is almost time for Easter and E.B. is on the road again!

I am really getting in the mood for Easter and so I was looking around for something cute to read for this time. This book title just made me so curious so I had to read it! Catching the Easter Bunny? Oh my!

In this book we read about our Easter Bunny and see him avoid many traps, I was a bit confused though, why would anyone trap the Easter Bunny? Did I miss something in my youth? I mean, we celebrated the more Christian parts of it, but we also hid eggs and did some other things. Yet, I never thought about trapping the EB. So that is a bit weird. I guess in case of the pirates it makes kinda sense given he has a magical basket, but other than that? I didn’t get the fuss. Still fun to read though and I had a laugh at all the traps and how they varied from supersimple to not so simple (like the tree). Plus, I learned that the EB can change size! That is so cool! No wonder he can get in everywhere and manages to hide all the eggs.

In this hip-hopping scene? I know he is magical, and his basket as well, but still I expected eggs to just fall out. XD

I absolutely love that the book was all in rhyme! It just made it so much more playful and fun~

The art, Adorable! Cute! Fun!

The ending was fun! See you next year E.B! Have a great time thinking up what to do next year along with your adorable peeps!

This book was cute, I didn’t get all the elements (like trapping him or getting mad because you didn’t see him), but still had fun reading it! Really a fun read for Easter!

This rhyming book, and was cute and that's about it. I definitely don't think it will be read over and over. The overall plot was not that interesting and actually seemed a bit weird. I think the traps should have been made and talked about by kids who are trying to catch him instead of the bunny narrating.

This book is a cute story about catching the Easter bunny. This would be good to use in a classroom if students were looking to catch their own Easter bunny, but if some students did not celebrate Easter, this may not be the best for a read aloud.

"Your Easter spirit is so strong, you see me right away! I leave so many Easter treats, I leave no children sad." Through a simple rhyme scheme, this book introduces some imaginative facts about the Easter bunny. It brought up more questions than entertained my five year old.

This was just like other books in the series. It was really fun and so are the illustrations. I thought the ending was a little abrupt, but other than that, a nice read any time of year.

Incoherent. No real story. The pictures are cute, but also don't really go with the words.

Danget I checked this out for Easter, planned to read it when I got home that day and then forgot all about it until two days later when I happened to see it! Better a couple days late than to wait for next year.

This one was a miss for me. Much like the Santa one, but I think that was better.
It says his initials are E.B. but he can’t share his real name, but the plaque on his desk says Mr. Bunny…and we can see his ears and picture of a rabbit’s feet on the wall. What’s with the secrecy?
He was a little scary-looking tbh. With the gleam in his eye and mouth open, the one big tooth…

There was a hole covered by a rug, and showed a burrow, but it was inside the house because it showed a wall, so the kids dug down into the floor?
There’s mustache wax(?), a Viking shield and helmet, dinosaur bones…?
There’s a dance floor, with a disco ball. Why would you catch a rabbit this way?

This was confusing. What was the pirate ship about? Why were pirates in here? Does that year mean something? 1682? When the Easter bunny was invented?? He’s holding a paint brush. Did he paint gold eggs in their chest? But he’s sailing away on a ship and the pirates look like they’re stranded on an island. And there’s sharks swimming around! And he painted E.B. on the ship. It looks like he’s sailing away on their ship. Just confused by that whole thing.

There’s a canon-thing? With candy fish and cherry yogurt pops. Again, how does this catch a rabbit?
Somehow the rabbit can become very small, to fit through a keyhole. He flies through a door labeled Danger, keep out.
There’s a tree with Easter eggs and chocolate bunnies, and a golden gnome tied upside down to a tree. What is going on? The Easter bunny left the treats but was the gnome trying to catch him?
One was a powerball thing where you roll the balls in. Who has that at their house? And how did even get in there?

I couldn’t understand what some of the traps were,& it never showed the kids trying to get him. They were never seen in the book. So it looked like no one was there to actually catch him.
Idk, this was a flop for me.
