Sequel to Sedition and continues the story post Senator Jackson's inauguration as President. As the book develops we see that she part of the wider conspiracy that was behind the Capitol bombings at the end of Sedition. A group called the Brethren are the power behind the plot and Sir Spencer is a leading figure in the group. Jackson is trying to push through a new security bill described by some as 'The Patriot Act on steroids' as a response to the apparent intelligence failings that allowed the bombings to happen. She is also trying to get European allies to pass similar legislation and agree to sharing agreements, in an attempt to reshape the world. To facilitate this Sir Spencer is broken out of secure prisoner transfer, although the White House report him as killed.
Things start to fall apart for the plotters when several things go against them, Matti Harrold believes she spots Spencer at Camp David with the President, a singer used by the Brethren to get it's message out surreptitiously is killed (although meant to look like self induced death from heroin) and DNA at the scene match a cold case of an apparent suicide of an FBI agent. A news/conspiracy theory website starts publishing these facts and links them together, when the ME who gave the journalist the DNA news, is herself killed connections continue to be made. Matti concludes that there is going to be an attack at the upcoming conference of world leaders in an attempt to terrify citizens into accepting whatever surveillance arrangements their leaders want.
So once again Matti is left trying to save the world from tyranny, this time in Barcelona. Can she unravel the plot in before an ever suspicious President decides to do away with her?
Fast paced thriller that keeps you coming back for more.

Fiction, but almost too close to reality.

By the time you reach the end, you may question how close it could be to actually happening. Following the news will leave you wondering. Both the Left and the Right are engaged in words and in some cases, actions. Neither is in the best interest of our Republic. The novel, "Intention ", takes the story to the worst case scenario if those in control see the light at the end of the tunnel is actually an oncoming train.

No question the end result could prove the undoing of life as we think it is, and result in our Republic being ripped in two. That reason alone makes this an important read.

Who really knows who the good guys are.

I never give a book a five star rating but this book deserves a four and a half star rating. The plot is relevant to the geopolitical situation of today and I highly recommend that anyone concerned with the political concept of one world government read books one and two.

I read this book so that I could finish the story that started in the book Sedition. You definitely need to read both books to get the complete story.

Scary in its application to today’s political arena—Sedition and Intention have some remarkable similarities to today’s world politics. Mr. Abrahams is definitely keyed in to today’s happenings.

Best political thriller I've read in awhile.

Matte was now working for the president. Holt, a journalist, started connecting dots and what he wrote made her wonder if she and the country were in danger.

A really good finishing novel to the series, though, honestly, I hated for it to end. I kind of fell in love with the protagonist and it made the end that much more difficult to deal with. Great work by Mr. Abrahams! Can't wait to read more of his work.

SECURITY Act

The story began with “Sedition”, it continues with the unfurling of the plot as evil forces try to further their cause. Mattie Harold nearly prevented the first disaster, will she succeed In stopping the newest nefarious plan?

Function which mirrors some reality

In light of today's world, this could happen. We have a couple presidents who would like the World Order and are working toward it. They don't like the USA. This book shows that we have to be careful whom we elect.

The book was above average, but not great. I read the book because I had read the first book in the series. The plot certainly makes sense in today’s world, but was not terribly inventive.

Intention is the second book in the Political Conspiracy series written by author Tom Abrahams. I liked this story more than the first. There should be a third.

Cliff Hanger

This was a real cliff hanger. The editing was much better on this book. I would definitely recommend it for a good political read.

Very topical today, but with blemishes

Has a deep state theme, some interesting twists, but unrealistic results and a dubious ending that makes almost no sense.

The author of The Traveler Series has woven a fine tale of conspiracy.

I don't have the words to describe my surprise and enjoyment of this book. The first volume of this series, Sedition, was a so-so good book. Tom Abrahams skills in intrigue and advancing of plot have come a long way. Intention is a page turner you will not want to put down. Abrahams has spun an interesting story laced with heart-pounding action. The shape and framing of his sentences are superb. That is something I always look for in a writer. Every Comp I teacher would understand the reasoning behind that statement.
Readers who have read Mr. Abrahams first offering in this series, Sedition, will have their appetite for action sated for the interim, then begin hoping for more. If you haven't read the first volume, Sedition, then I recommend you do so to familiarize yourself with the background of this book.
Matti Harold has been placed in the number one spot as President Jackson's most trusted aide, but at what price? Struggling with an unintentional addiction to Xanax, Matti accidentally discovers a plot orchestrated by a secret group known among themselves as the Brethren, then carried forth by President Jackson, putting Matti's life in danger. The purpose of the plot was to extend and make more encompassing the now expired Patriot Act. There were no good intentions contained within this plot for the ultimate goal was One World government ruled by those behind the scene, the elusive Brethren.
Read the reviews and decided for yourself if this book is for you. I hope that I have helped in some way to sway you to want to read this book.
As always, happy reading.

Another incredible political thriller from an outstanding author! This book follows the storyline and character development of the first book, 'Sedition', but it also stands very well on its own. As the PATRIOT Act expires, the government is looking for a more comprehensive plan to monitor not only the American people but the entire world. What's that Fourth Amendment again?....

Matti Harrold, after her attempt to thwart to plan to demolish the Capitol and re-shuffle the government politicians in play, has been left with a sense of unfinished business....and a big helping of guilt. Remembering the lives lost and those she couldn't save, she turns to a 'medicated' solution to the demons that she has. Little does she realize, that her own employer might be the threat.

As the President travels to Spain to meet up with other countries at the G12 conference, another puzzle begins to tease Matti's conscious when little details are left unexplained and unobserved. Could another plan be in the works to promote a devastating Information Act across all nations? Will this be a violent start to a complete loss of freedom and privacy around the world?

Enlisting the help of journalist, Dillinger Holt, Matti must try to put the pieces together and discover the real plan before it's too late... But is there anyone left that she can trust?

Excellent writing and an immersive story that grabs on and doesn't let go. An extremely good book. Very well done!

Matti Harold is suffering from PTSD from the attack on the Capitol. President Jackson has made Matti part of her inner circle since Matti was instrumental in saving her life. But, after seeing Jackson with a known terrorist Matti feels that there is more going on than originally thought. There seems to be a much larger conspiracy at play.

Abrahams second novel in A Political Conspiracy series, Intention, continues just months after the first book. We are given a more in-depth look into Matti’s character. She is most definitely a flawed heroine. The story line is full of surprises with characters not being what they seem. The plot has several twists that keep the reader focused on the bigger picture.

The complex relationship between Matti and the President is full of contradictions. Those pushing for a new world order will stop at nothing to achieve their goals. Will Matti again be able to derail their plans?

5 out of 5 stars.

I received this book for free from the author for review consideration. This in no way affected my opinion of the book, or the content of my review.

This is a great political thriller. This books works as a stand alone novel if you have not read Sedition. Of course if you have read Sedition, that will only enhance your enjoyment of this political conspiracy novel. This is a thrilling, page-turning, edge-of-your-seat story line that will keep you glued until the very end. Author Tom Abrahams just keeps getting better and better. I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for a fair, unbiased review.

The book is well written with a few surprises. It's a good read, just not quite as intriguing as book one, but if you enjoy political thrillers you'll probably enjoy it. I will be reading more of Tom Abrahams work.
