I requested this sequel from Netgalley before I even finished the first book because I just knew I was going to want to continue with this series as soon as possible. Since this is the sequel Ill give a bit of a summary of the first book but this fantasy series is so epic its a little difficult to summarize. A war between races will decide which Gods will rule the Overworld. The Gods are divided in a fight of Good vs Evil and their Chosen Ones will have to defeat the evil God if the realms are to find peace once again.

I loved these characters so much and it was wonderful how they all came together. Theres 5 different Chosen One and the Cursed One. The Chosen Ones are The Flame, The Storm, The Seer, The Inquisitor and The Steel. The Flame and the Storm make such a powerful duo and the Seer was so cool when she finally unleashed her power. I totally ship Liam and Laila. Liam is just so strong, sweet and considerate. I was sad that the Fairy Nani wasnt more present. Dragnor and the Charmer made great antagonists. I didnt like that Queen Aria decided to go back to Oren.

I was amazed by twists I wasnt able to predict. Its not often that a story surprises me. Just like the first book I was disapointed I couldnt read the map because it was too small. I also noticed some plot holes just like in the first book. Like how did the shadow elves attack human villages when the barrier was up and why are the soldiers who are allied with the Shadow Elves killing them? Why does the Shadow Elf God have a Chosen One thats against the war if she supports it? I also didnt understand why Litha was allowed to interfere. Despite these questions I really enjoyed the world, the plot and the characters.

Night of the Storm begins just after Rise of the Flame, Liam and Lilae meets finally, and what a meeting! Having been betrayed, Liam meets finally the girl he saw in his dreams. Together, accompanied of Rowe and Delia, they are going to meet new people and also to discover that their travel is going to be full of pitfalls.

The story is told by many characters, Lilae, Liam, Ayoki, Dragnor, Kavien, Aria, Nani and Wilem. It brings different point of view and an overview on the world creates by the author.

Lilae was cursed by Dragnor and now she must suffer, except that Liam doesn’t accept that. He will try his best to protect her and love her. I like Lilae, she’s strong but she knows that her enemies are strong too and well organized. She always wants to help people and that leads her to meet new people and new friend. Her attraction for Liam is very intense, she feels safe with him and I like that.

Liam has difficulty in forgetting the treason of Sona, fortunately his meeting with Lilae is going to allow him to move on. I like very much his protective side to Lilae, I find that very charming and also very sexy.

The relation between Lilae and Liam was already there in the first book but now it’s more important. I don’t know how to explain their relation, it’s in their soul, there are attracted even without really knowing each other’s, I like the fact that it’s their destiny, they are great together, they are complementary and I love them.

I’m impatient to see what Kenya will do with all these amazing characters, we’ve met The Seer, The Steel, and the group is growing slowly and I like that. They are some good people and some evil villains, I didn’t like Sona in the first book and I hate her in the second. She is arrogant, depraved, she has very bad intentions and I would want to see her suffering as ever. I would like whether it is Lilae who kills her slowly.

Kavien is a mystery for me, I don’t know if he’s good or evil, he has some very intense feelings for Lilae but are they sufficient for him. I’m a little afraid of the future with him in it.

Night of the Storm bring us new character, a romance, friendship and a good preparation for the big fight.

I want to know what happens next! I have so many what ifs.
The only thing I am upset about, without giving anything away, has to do with Kavien. Maybe that's because I started to really like him, but who knows.

Any way this is a great second book to the series, the storyline was excellent, the characters are people you start to fall in love with in the first book and you just see and learn more this book.

This book was shorter than the first, which I liked, cause it made me read it in one sitting :)

With different lands, powers, type of creatures, and the few chosen, this is a book that will leave you wanting to keep reading.

I was given this book in exchange for an honest review.

Wow
This is a good book, not my normal read. Started out fast and stayed that way. I was on the edge of my seat. I almost felt like was there and could feel the thing happening. I laughed and cried. I would love to be able to ride on a dragon or a wyverns. It is like good verses bad. You have gatekeepers/elders, flame, storm and others. I don't like to do spoilers. So if you want to know more, grab a copy of this book, a cup of you favorite drink turn the world off. Because you don't want to miss anything and in joy. Happy reading

The war rages on as the chosen and their allies struggle against the forces of evil. Night of Storm picked up where Rise of Flame left off. We follow our fearless characters as they journey into new lands, gain new allies and face unimaginable danger.
I loved the pace of the novel and how we got to see the story from all different sides with the multiple points of view.
I can't wait to discover what happens next as things heat up and dangers lurk everywhere.

@ Ch 31 - Someone REALLY needs to proofread this book! Typos, omitted words, pronouns when nouns are needed. This is the second book by K.N. Lee that I've read on Kindle, both with far too many errors.

Finished. It is almost impossible to enjoy a story when you have to suffer through spelling errors and misused words. The story has potential but it needs work. Personally, I'd fire the editor or proofreader and refine the work before publishing it.

An addictive read, this series has me enthralled, the characters, storyline and intense emotional drama. So many shocking reveals, betrayals and nonstop action and adventure. This book picks up right where the first book ended, the final meeting between the Flame and Storm, it was explosive. Once the two heroes have finally joined forces their journey begins across the world of Ellowen to unite and lead their army against Wexcyn’s insidious plans. Along the journey they face danger at every turn, gain new allies and friends while discovering true enemies disguised as safe haven’s.
Lilae has suffered traumatically both mentally and physically at the hands of those in Avia’Torena while being their prisoner, grieving the loss of her family she finally begins to heal with the support of Liam and Delia. Though Lilae is still plagued by the horrid curse Dragnor, her determination to be free and fight is courageous.
Liam is the perfect alpha male, strong, protective and dominant yet supportive and understanding. After suffering from a horrendous betrayal and the loss of a dear companion, and worrying about his homeland Oren, Liam is still true to his core virtues.
The supporting characters are all so fascinating, each has their own points of views which makes getting to know their motives and personality much more personal and enticing, whether it’s hero or villain. So many marvelous new characters are introduced each having such a monumental role within the plot no matter how short their time might seem, it always gets revealed.

Great Story! I'm in for the long haul

K.N. Lee is an author skilled at world building. Let's just start with that. Without the complex world she has created there would be no fertile ground for her imaginative mythical good, evil and ambivalent creatures to be produced. The involved plotline requires multiple novels to resolve all the important who, what, where, when and why questions. I'm happy to read that there will be a book three in the Aura Chronicles, hopefully four, five and six as well as spinoffs, and stand alone books in Ms. Lee's Ellowen World. She's in for the long haul and so am I.

This is the second part of my favorite series by K. N. Lee so far (I haven't read all she wrote yet.)

It this part we actually discover different realms with new characters and new challenges. It's really nice to be able to see a different side of the world set in this story as there are 6 champions and in the first book we only met 4.
There is a lot going on and a lot of twists and turns again.

It seems that book 3 was out for a while but now I can't find it anywhere. I hope this series will continue though because it's really good.

This is book two in "The Eura Chornicles" and it is as good as book one. I guess it could be read as a stand alone, but I wouldn't recommend it. There's too much back story in book one to be missed and this book picks up exactly where book one ends. By now all the characters are revealed and we see things from several different points of view. War seems to be coming with all the action and adventure KN Lee has described. This series to date just seems to capture the imagination and keeps you intrigued. I'm anticipating the next book.

This is book two of the Eura Chronicles and it was absolutely incredible! This is a fast paced read, with intrigue, drama, and a little romance, that kept me fascinated and turning the pages. The war continues and the chosen work against the forces of evil with their allies. They travel to new lands and face many dangers along the way. The combination of an amazing plot, with action, magic, and an amazing set of main and side characters make this book a entertaining and captivating story.

This book was even better then the first. Lilae and Liam are really becoming one and Lilae is learning more about herself and her powers as they both fight for the side of good. The action was good and the story entertaining and addicting to read. Very hard to put down as I read it in one sitting to see how it would end. War is on and so is finding both new allies and danger. Who they meet and what they find was great.

Liam and Lilae are together. They bring the barrier down. War is coming. Allies they met turn out to be enemies in disguise, who can they trust but each other? More Chosen are revealed until all are within the world. Now they have to get together and fight the forces that are coming to destroy the world as they know it. Can't wait for the next book.

3.5 stars. Night of the Storm is the second book in the Eura Chronicles series. While you could read this as a standalone, I do not recommend that as this story picks up right where the first book ended. There is violence. The war continues and the players are starting to come together. There is enough action and twists and suprises to keep you reading and interested in the story.

The chosen are assembling. War is eminent. With the barriers down good and bad creatures are moving from land to land. The flame, the storm, and seer are now together along with two people Lilae thought dead. And know who is in inquisitor, they are waiting to find out who is the steel. They must stop wexcyn from being freed, but he has an army of minions, and even a goddess helping him.

So enthralling

This whole series has me hooked! So different from many other books out there. K.N. Lee is a great author and knows how to keep you wanting more of each character, not just the main ones. You want to know what happened to each individual and where will they be as the story is playing out. I highly recommend this book, let alone the whole series.
