STORM I’m headed back to the Blood Legion MC in New Orleans, my old stomping grounds. Guns. Thugs. Broads. Cocaine nightmares. A Mexican cartel, cracker coke runners, and now there’s a new international threat in town.
Blaize Carmichael is my only partner in this op. Blaize. As a biker babe. Jeeesus. I’ve had a bone for her from day one when she walked into headquarters—haughty, superior, and always in charge.
There’s a goddamn good chance we’ll get made, played, and put in the grave as government-issue traitors. But I can’t help it—I love to get rough, raw, dirty, and dominant with her.
No more yes ma’am, no ma’am. Blaize is about to find out I don’t always takes orders as issued.
BLAIZE I can’t stand the way Storm calls me woman or cher or sexy. As soon as we’re back in DC, I’m going to wipe that infuriating wicked smirk right off his dangerously handsome face.
I’m always prepared for every scenario. I’ve built my career on complete professionalism in and out of the field. But when Storm comes at me with wild animal lust—when he opens up to me—when he opens me up, I can’t say no.
I don’t want to.
We’re in danger every single day we stay in NOLA. There is no way we can make it out alive. Not together. Not this time.

This was a very good story. I liked both Storm and Blaize and their story was interesting and engaging. This is the first story I've read by this author and I liked it well enough that I'd considering trying more of her work in the future. Note - Goodreads lists this story as being 1,300 pages long but Amazon has it listed as 282 pages. The Amazon length seems to be the correct one.
Blaize is the head of T-Zone and a badass in her own right. We aren't given much info on T-Zone but it appears to be some sort of private special ops company...that might still have government ties but if so, they're hidden. Blaize started out in the military but had a hard time of it as a woman. She toughened up and made it to where she is today but she doesn't seem to know how to open up to a relationship while still maintaining the strength and independence she worked so hard to gain.
Storm is a member of T-zone, one that's been in love with his boss (Blaize) for a while. Storm was born in New Orleans and grew up there. He entered the military and later worked with the CIA on an undercover gig that had him associating with the Blood Legion MC. That Op went bad and the CIA burned him but he get picked up by T-Zone and they want to use his past cover as a way in now.
Storm and Blaize are paired up for the op with the Blood Legion MC. Storm doesn't realize it until they're already there but Blaize's cover is to be his old lady. Considering how old ladies are treated in the MCs, this is a bit of a surprise especially since it pretty much sets them up for a lot on personal contact that will strain the control of them both. Considering how Storm's last undercover op got FUBARed, he encounters some resistance when coming back to the club. I was actually a bit surprised by how they tested Storm before allowing him back in. The MC seems to think that traitors can be captured by threatening death or physical torture but no actual questioning done in a way that would truly get answers that would confirm guilt or innocence. It's as if just because someone can live through physical pain or face death, they must be honest...which made me question how the MC had managed to keep from being busted by the feds all this time...
Storm is able to survive the "loyalty test" and is accepted back into the MC. There's some drama with a old lover (from Storm's previous time undercover) and this does help to make Blaize jealous enough that she shows it and this gives Storm more of a chance to win her. With the situation being dangerous, Storm and Blaize have to rely on each other and this helps them to resolve their differences and eventually come together. The Op goes a little off kilter but is pulled off in the end. Once everything is settled, Storm and Blaize take some time together and find they want more so the story ends with them heading towards a HEA together.
This was a very good story. I liked Blaize as the heroine but since the story was from Storm's PoV, it didn't seem like I got a good feel for her until the end. Storm was a really good hero and I had no complaints about him. The story was very good and was interesting enough to keep me engaged so I'd recommend it. :)
Another fantastic book by Rie Warren, this is definitely one of my favorite series of all time!
Nash “Storm” Lafontaine has been lusting after his boss, Blaize Carmichael, for a year and a half. Now, the two are headed on a mission together and Storm knows that being alone with Blaize can only result in one thing – them finally in bed together. Their mission is to infiltrate an MC that Storm has previously infiltrated when he worked for the CIA. Their cover story is that Blaize is his old lady and Storm can’t wait to get this mission started. Blaize is a total bad ass and I absolutely loved her character, she’s definitely a strong female heroine. Storm is the typical alpha bad ass that we all love and he’ll do anything to protect Blaize once things turn messy. Though they’ve had to cross the line a few times during their stint in the MC Blaize is holding back because of fear of being involved with one of her operatives once their mission is over…
One of my favorite parts of this book was the build up from the previous two books, which I advise reading prior to starting this one or you’ll be a bit lost, especially in the beginning. My second favorite part is that we get the X-Op’s side as well as the MC which are my two favorite genres. This is a page turner, too awesome to put down – I can’t wait for the next book in the series!
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.
I have been waiting to get by hands on Storm’s book since we were first introduced to the him in Walker. I read the synopsis and thought oh wow Josie, this is your book – why? Well it’s Bad Boy of X-Ops, an MC, Storm and Blaize! (That about had me sold).
In Storm’s book we get up close and personal as Nash LaFontaine (Storm) and Blaise Carmichael (Boss Lady). Storm and Blaise are sent back to Storm’s home town on New Orleans and back to his old life in the Blood Legion MC. Their job is simple (yeah right, nothing with the Bad Boys of X-Ops is simple) infiltrate and bring down the infamous Blood Legion MC and stop them from smuggling guns and weapon to terrorists. This book was very well written and packed with action, suspense, steamy scenes and unexpected twists at every turn. I could not tear my eyes away.
The tension and relationship between Storm and Blaize has been building over the past two books. Working together on a uncover mission with no help from their team forces them to rely on each other. The banter and sexual tension was rather apparent and funny.
“I don’t have any problem sleeping at night, do you storm?”
“Oh yeah. Definitely. When she was involved in the above-mentioned dreams. I had plenty of problems. The hard, throbbing, wanna come in her pu**y problems.”
There is no question as to why Blaize is the boss. She is one tough cookie and she is a bad-ass. She is avid, meticulous, trained and highly opinionated. She is not the kind of person to be seen and not heard. She likes to take charge and has a temper that gets her and Storm into trouble on many occasions. Her come backs and mouth had me laughing so many times.
Storm is form New Orleans and his Cajun accent and talk had me melting right away. Storm’s past in the Blood Legion MC has him going home not only to bring down his former brothers, but also back to the family he left behind. Having Blaize has his Ol’ lady, has Storm living out one of his dirty and kinky fantasies. One he intends to make a reality. Storm is so passionate, sweet, caring and dominate. His is a total alpha, one that wants to make sure Blaize is ok, but when Boss Lady is involved both their dominance gets in the way.
Blaize has a problem in letting Storm lead and her need for control has them butting heads more often than not. The struggle is real people! Well let’s just say when Storm finally has enough, things between them finally get hot and heavy. OMG, their sex scenes were intense, hot and fiery. I loved watching the relationship between Blaize and Storm develop throughout the book. The alone time, trust and bond they formed allowed them both to open about their dark and troubled pasts. When their secrets and cover are exposed, will they both make it out alive? When the dust has settled, will Blaize and Storm walk away together or will their time together end? This book is a must read and I highly recommend it.
"Why did you sign up for this detail? You know how I feel about you Blaize."
This is the third book in the series Bad Boys of X-OPS. I have to say that it has probably become my favorite one. Out of all three this one seems to have the most at stake, not to mention the most suspense, feeling, and overall emotional pull.
Rie Warren has built us up to the story of Storm our bad boy Cajun, and the hard core boss Blaize. The push and pull through out Walker and Justice just kept the anticipation building until we were ready to explode with it. I know I wanted to see if they were going to be as hot in bed as they are in the war room. And, trust me, Rie does not disappoint. She also gives us a check up with our two honeymooning couples to see how they are enjoying life.
This book has so much involved that the story keeps you wound up in not only the hot romance, but the actual operation that Blaize and Storm are on. We get to see a side of Storm that makes him the man that he is, and see where he has been. This story not only takes you back to where and how he becomes a member of T-Zone, but it also throws you a right hook in Blaize's past as well. The things that take place in the story will leave you speechless, and swallowing several knots down. Now, this book does contain a few harsh instances or situations as you would say, but if you can breath trough them you will not be disappointed.
I am glad to have read each of the books in this series so far and I am looking forward to seeing what Bane the small talker of the group finds himself wrapped up in. How will his three bad ass ops brothers bail him out of a tight spot, and will it be with the newest member Baby Spy? I know I want to know.
One of my favorite moments: "I'm going to regret this." Blaize rose up on her knees, lowered her mouth directly over my cock she held upright in her hand. "What?" The muscles in my thighs quivered. "Falling for you." Holy mother of... "I hope not." I panted. "Not before you finish me off."
This is the third book in the Bad Boys of X-Ops by Rie Warren, and they just keep improving with each book. I love how each of the books are interconnected and the story of the characters continues with each additional book. As I've come to expect from Rie, this book is extremely well written and full of action, and twists and turns that keep you enthralled and engaged from start to finish.
Blaize is the 'Boss Lady' of X-Ops and she is as bad-ass as her male operatives. She is passionate, controlled, professional and full of attitude. She has a definite temper combined with a sassy and smart mouth leads to some interesting banter, which had me laughing out loud on more than one occasion.
Nash LaFontaine is Storm the 'cajun' pilot and bad boy of the ops team. Storm has a history with the Blood Legion MC, so he is the perfect candidate to go undercover, to take them down. Blaize has the perfect personality traits to pose as his old lady. Storm is one intense individual. He can be sweet and is definitely sexy, but a complete alpha bad-ass. The sexy southern drawl just jumps off the pages.
In the previous books the sexual tension between Blaize and Storm has been building and it comes to a head when they go undercover in an MC, in NOLA, Storm's old stomping ground without the aid of the rest of the team. When they finally get together the intimate scenes are very vivid, hot and quite explosive.
Blaize and Storm are an intensely private pair and throughout the course of the book build a relationship where secrets are revealed.
This book has a perfect mix of romance, suspense and angst. This book could easily be read as a standalone, but you will get more out of it if you have read the previous books in the series. I will not hesitate to recommend this book, its a fabulous read, you will not regret the purchase of this book. Rie Warren is quickly becoming one of my go to authors for romantic suspense reads.
I feel like a broken record when I review Rie Warren’s books. She is such a consistently great writer that I just keep saying the same things over and over again. Her books are always full of humor, wit, emotion, and steam. I’ve loved every one of her stories – each one is original and we’ll developed. Again, I can’t say anything negative about her writing. She always brings it.
If you haven’t read any of this series, now is the time. The Bad Boys of X-Ops series just came out this spring and we are already on book 3. Each story is packed full of adventure and is the perfect read to get lost in. It’s not too lovey dovey (nothing wrong with those books, sometimes I’m just in the mood for a different type of romance), but there is plenty of heat and love.
This is Blaize and Storm’s story. What a fine story it is. If you’ve ready any of the other books, you’ll know that Blaize is the boss lady (as the guys call her) of the group. Storm has been hot for her forever, and finally, he gets his chance with her when the two go on a mission alone. They have to infiltrate and take down a shady and lethal MC. For Storm, it is almost like going home, back to Louisiana. The MC they are targeting is one that he was a part of before he became an operative. Blaize’s cover is as his old lady. Things not only heat up, but get dangerous real quick.
Storm is such a great read! It is so quick paced and it pulled me so far into the story that I read it in one sitting. This book, the entire series, is a must read!
4.5 Star review of Storm (Bad Boys of X-Ops #3) by Rie Warren
This series is about some extremely bad ass military men and the women who tame them. This is Storm and Blaize’s story. Although this is a stand-alone I would suggest you start with Walker, book one in the series, as it is interesting to see how the characters develop from book to book.
Blaize is the only woman who really gets under his skin. There is something about her that both attracts and irritates Storm. The fact that she oversees the X-Ops team doesn’t help, she is his boss.
Normally the majority of his team has his back. On this mission, Storm’s only partner is Blaize. Storm has had the hots for Blaize since day one, now going undercover and posing as lovers complicates their relationship. Blaize is about to find out just how down and dirty Storm can be; even more concerning is just how much she will love it.
I have been looking forward to Storm and Blaize’s story since they both appeared in the first book in the series. Rie Warren did not disappoint. It was also great to catch up with Walker and Justice.
In this book there is more depth to the characters, and although the previous books have had suspense, intrigue and adventure the bar has been raised in Storm.
Storm is my favourite book so far. I really loved this storyline and it is a great addition to the series. Storm and Blaize together are smoking hot, their chemistry is amazing and I really was pleased that these two got together.
I cannot wait to read the next book in the series.
*I received an ARC of this book free from the author in exchange for an honest review*
Want another book boyfriend? It's Storm!
Storm's infatuation with Blaize has been teased on in the last two books and I couldn't wait to see what happened between the two of them when they were undercover together. Let me just say...DAYYYYUUUUM! Nothing like a little role reversal topped in leather.
Storm is one intense and slightly insane man. He knows what he wants/needs and he knows what he has to do and go through to get it. He's sweet and loving one moment and hell on wheels the next.
"I could wear a paper sack and you'd get hard."
Blaize has her secrets, but she isn't only the militant style leader Storm's used to. There's a lot more with her than meets the eye. And Storm wants to know all of it...all of her...inside and out. It was nice to see she had the heart of a woman beneath all her attitude and orders.
They'll have to not only fit into the MC they'll also have to survive it. And what a wild and crazy ride it is!
Storm is another fantastic book in the library of Rie Warren! She knows how to write those bad boys in a way that has us begging for more. Bring on Bane...I can't wait!
My Favorite Moments: I loved the intense chemistry between Storm and Blaize all throughout the book.
"Blaize. I am real close to hiking up your skirt and ripping off your panties --"
Meet the Cajun Heartthrob and Boss Lady of the X-Ops. Storm has had a major crush on his boss, Blaize Carmichael. You saw the sexual tension in prior books of Walker and Justice. You just know if and when they get together, it will be explosive, wild and dangerous.
The story takes place in Storm's old stomping grounds of NOLA. Storm and Blaize are there to take down Blood Legion MC of cocaine, guns and cartels. To not spoil the story, it's not the first time Storm was part of the Blood Legion MC. You will see his history why he was in the club, his disappearance and the reason to take down the MC.
Storm and Blaize relationship is explosive. With the sweet words to his 'Cher' and with daily breakfast of Nola's beignets and Chicory Coffee, he protects his woman. As pretending to be a Biker Babe, Blaize is used to calling the shots. But she doesn't have to be in charge in the bedroom. Throughout the story, Storm and Blaize build a romantic relationship. They confide in each other of their past and start building their future.
I really enjoyed reading Storm. Not just him being a badass X-Op but Blaize is tough woman that stands up for herself. They lean on each other. Isn't that what a relationship is all about?
4.5 stars

**I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.**
I have been waiting for Storm and Blaize's book forever. The tension between these two has been growing steadily since the first Bad Boys book. Well at least from Storm.
Going on this op was not what Storm was expecting. The op itself no big deal, he could go back undercover in the Legion MC but it was who was going with him that was his issue. Blaize has been the object of his desire for well over a year. He's never made a move and Blaize has ignored his attraction. When they are both undercover and acting as a couple things between them change.
Will the club let him back in without issue after two years? Can Storm get the girl and keep them both alive? Will Blaize finally give in or will she be in constant "boss lady" mode?
I loved the MC aspect of this one. Yes this particular MC is a horrible place to be but I loved seeing Storm in that world. Storm is super sexy when he takes control of Blaize with their roles reversed and him in charge. He knows what he wants and wasn't afraid to get it.
I am thrilled to declare this another wild ride from Rie Warren. In this installment in the Bad Boys of X-Ops series, she'd pitted Nash LaFontaine, aka Storm, with Blaise Carmichael, aka the Boss Lady in an explosive, twisty-turny adventure. They are sent to New Orleans to infiltrate and take down the Blood Legion, the nefarious, lawbreaking, gun smuggling, drug dealing Motorcycle Storm used to be a member of. He fits right back in, but something smells rotten and saving their op and their lives becomes job one. Storm and Blaise have an uncontrollable chemistry between them and it doesn't take more than the blink of an eye for them to give into first the physical and then the emotional attraction between them as they work toward the goal to put down the dangerous MC and its leaders. Warren's writing it tight and clean and this gripping story held my interest until the very end. In fact, I didn't want it to end. Although this is the third book in the series, it reads as a stand alone. But, once the series hooks you, you'll want to read and re-read each and every book. I am looking forward to reading Bane's story next, but I'll be moving Storm, Justice and Walker all back to the top of my TBR pile again
~~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads ~~
As this is the third in the series, we are inevitably expecting great things - explosive, dangerous and hot! If you have not read the previous two, then I highly recommend you read them first. These are some seriously dedicated guys, who go to extremes to achieve their missions - and so far two of them have also found romance, in the most unlikely places.
Storm (Nash) has it bad for their boss lady, Blaize - so when she decides to join him on a mission, as his old lady as they enter an MC, he is both excited, and unhappy at putting her in danger. I love how the plot plays out and just how much effort they expend proving that she really is his ... the story if fast and furious, the seduction by each of them is tantalising and delicious by turns. They come to life on the page, and expect to have some stressful moments, as these guys really do go on dirty, dangerous ops.
Storm is crushing on his boss Blaize and the guys are giving him hell. Walker and Justice need to mind their business and let it alone. Getting together with Blaize is NOT a good idea. The tension is too much and walking away is exactly what needs to happen.
Storm and Blaize are headed to NOLA to finally take down the Blood Legion MC. Running all kinds of illegal things Storm knows their play all too well. Pretending to be something they aren’t takes these two on a wild ride between what should and shouldn’t happen between them. Getting the bad guys is the goal and the easy part. Making something work between the two of them is the most explosive and dangerous mission yet.
Im really trying to love this series but I just am not connecting with the characters. I was so taken with the other men that Rie brought into our lives I think that I just cant let it go. Im not going to give up on the series but I think my first love is her first series of alphas set gifted us. This is definitely for you if you love the drama, suspense and all the bad stuff a Black Ops man can do. Click it up and don’t miss out on Walker and Justice either.
Thank you for the ARC -- Review to post to Ramblings From Beneath The Sheets.
I was pulled right into this story. The story has laughs, suspense, twists & turns, passion, sexual tension, explosive action, and heartbreak.
Before reading this story please read the below books first Walker (Bad Boys of X-Ops #1) Justice (Bad Boys of X-Ops #2)
This is Blaize and Storm’s story. The sexual tension between these two to is off the charts. They have to work together to take down a MC. They both have secrets in their past and need to reveal some of those secrets to each other. But will the secrets make them fall harder or push each other away? Blaize has had to be strong with her past but can she also learn to be soft for Storm when he needs her to? The twists & turns and suspense will keep you turning the pages. They need to be each other’s backup while being undercover. Can they trust each other after the secrets are exposed to protect each other? Or will they end up being at odds and on there own?
I loved these characters and also the side characters. I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
This is book three in The Bad Boys of X-Ops series and my first book from Rie Warren. After reading this story I will definitely need to get books one and two! Storm, Nash, and Blaize are one of the hottest couples I have read in awhile. Make sure you are ready for a suspenseful story that involves a brutal MC, humorous comments and smoking hot sex. I really enjoyed this story and although I haven't read the first two I had enough information on the other characters that I completely understood what was going on and what each character's role was in the story. The series finale of this series is being released this summer so I know I will need to catch up in the rest of the series before then! So, if you are looking for a new book that will keep you on the edge, unable to stop reading until you find out what happens, laugh at funny lines, have your jaw drop at all different moments and in the end make you wish it weren't over...,then this is the book for you!
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.
Storm has had the hots for his boss Blaize for a year and a half and now the two of them are going undercover in the Legion MC to bring down the bad guys. I love Storm's reactions to Blaize. When she is around she takes over his every thought and his every though is very dirty. This story is full of heat and there is so much electricity between it is clear the lines between boss and employee were going to get blurred.
The synopsis of this book to me suggested that it would be dual point of view but it isn't. Blaize is a kick butt heroine, I didn't connect with her as Strongly as I did Storm and I think it would have been even better if we'd had her side of the story too. Even so Storm provides us with a fast paced, hot, action story that is fun from start to finish.
This is the first book in the series that I have read although I have read others by Rie Warren. I feel like had I read the others in the series, I would have probably rated this book a 5 star rather than a 4 star.
Although this is supposed to be a stand alone, the book starts out with trying to get everyone to a wedding. I was kinda lost as to who was who for a while, making it difficult for me to really connect to the characters. There was also a lot of abbreviations used that I didn't understand that I assumed were explained at some point earlier in the series.
They spoke in a Cajun dialect. It took me a little while to get used to reading their accent. This didn't keep me from enjoying the story, it was just another thing that kept me from connecting with the characters quickly.
Overall, I LOVED their story. Blaize was such an independent woman I couldn't wait to see how she and Storm would work things out. Not only was their relationship action packed, so was the whole MC part. I loved every word.
I am on a bit of a binge reading on Rie’s X-Ops series and this is the 3rd one in the series. It was a bit of a struggle to read because of some French words that storm used quite often, but hey I learned a few French words while reading the book.
In this mission, it was only the two of them. They are to work under cover in blood legion – a Motor cycle club … that is um… ”shadier” than normal. Turns out that storm has a past with the legion (no, its not a spoiler) and blaize decided to tag along. The power struggle between storm and blaize is very amusing and entertaining to watch, they kinda have a time and place where one would be allowed to boss the other around. And I loved that blaize tried to play it cool with storm being all “no we shouldn’t do this” and all… then she gets jealous, haha! Wished I could try the beignets tho..yum!
Both blaize and storm had dark pasts and it was a real treat for me knowing what HQ thought of storm and how he ended up in T-zone in the 1st place. There is still that heart pumping action, passion, the sizzle and the faceless enemy that the squad are yet to discover.
>I am an independent reviewer. This book is the 3rd in the Bad Boys of X-Ops series and ends with an HEA. Storm works for Blaize. He also has a huge attraction towards her. When they go undercover in Storm’s old MC, with Blaize as his old lady, sparks don’t just fly, they detonate. This MC is into very illegal stuff and seems to have no qualms to do whatever they want. Storm tries to protect Blaize and his half-brother, while pretending to still be the dangerous man without a conscience.
>I didn’t read the previous two books, but the story was easy enough to follow. The characters in the X-Ops were interesting and very amusing to see working together. Blaize really shows a softer side with Storm and her backstory is heartbreaking. This book doesn’t hide the violence in the world, but the humorous interactions among the characters help to keep the story lighter.
> This book is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving this book 5 stars. The romance, action, and suspense were all present to create a page turner.
I stumbled across this book as a free download and even though it was the 3rd book of the series I enjoyed it so much that I ordered the 1st book as soon as I was finished with this one. Despite the fact that I jumped into a series I never felt lost, since the book mainly dealt with Storm and Blaize, and what a pair. I liked both of the characters and the plot line was OK, the book mainly centered around the budding relationship of the two of them with some hot and steamy love scenes. The takedown of the MC club was kind of a side note for me. But the read was entertaining with some really funny inner dialog, action and I want to know more about X-Ops Boys.
After a year and a half Storm finally got the girl! Blaize, his boss, is a hard woman but Storm has been eager and stupefied whenever that woman is in his eyesight. They go UC in one of the worst MC’s in Louisiana and all his dreams come true, at least with her. There is so much heat, chemistry and angst between these two it will have you yelling at the pages. Loved it!!
Ready for a little Russian roulette, crazy Cajun-style? Fifty-fifty chance of blowing your head off. Great odds. Storm by Rie Warren, book #3 in her fantastic Bad Boys Of X-Ops series is all about guns, drugs, and cash - the RICO trifecta. A clusterfuck of epic proportions turned into a whole FUBAR scenario, and the only bright spark in it? Love.
Storm was IN-TENSE!!! I love that Warren’s alpha males aren’t afraid to let the women they love know what they mean to them and Storm is no different. The undercover op infiltrating the Blood Legion MC gives Storm not only the chance to tell Blaize how he feels, but also gives him more than one opportunity to show it. While the promise of a THEM gives Storm the incentive he needs to insure they make it out alive, there were several touch-and-go moments when I was wondering if he was going to succeed or if the one-percenters were going to win.
Even though it isn’t entirely necessary that you read Walker and Justice first, I do recommend it because they not only give you a chance to understand the team dynamics and the apparent treachery that is threatening the team, but they also give you a chance to see the fire that has been building between Storm and Blaize since the first book. While Blaize is the H.B.I.C. at work and maintains a professional distance from Storm, on the undercover op, she’s posing as Storm’s old lady and that means he’s in charge, at least when they’re in public… well, in theory anyway. Yeah, Blaize isn’t good at playing the part of an obedient old lady, despite her claims that she understood the MC hierarchy. Fortunately for them both, Storm enjoys a challenge and has a reputation for it, so the other members of the MC seem to accept her sass, albeit begrudgingly. But as they get closer to their end goal, obtaining the information they need to shut down the Blood Legion MC for good, things heat up – between Blaize and Storm, between Storm and the MC, and between the MC and the people they’re doing business with. When it all comes to a head and Storm realizes he’s been played, and the chances of survival for him and/or Blaize are rapidly diminishing, I was white knuckling my Kindle so hard I’m surprised I didn’t leave dent marks in it. As a reader of quite a few of Warren’s novels, I’m used to the high-action, high-risk maneuvers her characters often face, but Blaize’s situation was even more extreme than I expected, even in light of what she had already faced during the op.
Because the sparks have been flying between Blaize and Storm for two books already, the speed at which things develop between them in Storm will only feel rushed to those readers who skipped Walker and Justice. For those readers who’ve been with the series since book one, it’ll likely feel like a FINALLY!!! moment. Being in close quarters and under constant fear of being discovered merely serves to increase the tension between them. As expected, Warren delivers on the steam when Storm finally scales the wall between them. I really liked how the author dealt with an extremely traumatic experience from Blaize’s past and integrated it within the events of their present mission. It makes Blaize’s accomplishments even more impressive and gave Storm yet another reason to respect her. There are a few things I cannot discuss at all for fear of spoiling the book for others, but I can say that I absolutely loved it when Storm took his guests home to meet his mamere. She was a total hoot. I cannot wait to read Bane to find out what’s going to happen between him and Baby Spy, and discover who’s behind the team’s close calls.

Oh yea cher, Ms. Warren is back with Storm's sinful story, and it's spectacular!
Storm has had his pick of women over the years, but the only woman he drools over these days is his boss Blaize Carmichael. When he goes in undercover with her, infiltrating the über dangerous Blood Legion MC, the two have to play luvahs, which is A-OK with the former outlaw member. Being that close to Blaize and in charge of this op, Storm falls deeper under her spell…as if acting like a lovesick stuttering fool around her wasn't bad enough! The two will have to put on a damn convincing act to make it out of 'Nawlins alive, but they're up for the job!
Unnnngh, Ms. Warren is just so damn good at what she does! I've read every one of her most excellent Bad Boys books, and they just keep getting better!! The wicked chemistry between Blaize and Storm was sky high, making me drool over their smartass banter and possessive attitudes. Blaize is a certified, grade A badass, a woman in charge and not afraid to use it to her advantage. She doesn't know how to let Storm take the reigns in this op, and the fallout makes for some funny shit!
Storm…mmmmm mama I love me a sexy Cajun with a big drawl and an even bigger set of balls! The entire first half was foreplay galore, and when they finally got nekked I'm pretty sure I did the southern thang and swooned! Crude, rude and box spring bouncin' bodacious, the sex was as delicious as the danger. Witness:
I stroked the throbbing meat of my cock, running my fingers up to the swollen head, spreading the clear copious pre-come.
She gasped, her nipples beading even tighter. "That is sexy as fuck."
"Want it?" Spreading her legs in a V, I slapped the girth of my shaft against her shiny pussy. "Want my cock? "
"Yes. Oh, God yes!"
Nnnnnggggh. Fuck to the yes!!
One of my favorite things about Ms. Warren's books is the fact that her stories are told from the dude's raunchy POV. These aren't sweet, flowery erotic love stories, they're raw and wicked and nasty and violent and dirrrrrty and soooo damn good. Another check in the #winning column for Ms. Warren and STORM!!
Bottom Line: Do yourself a favor and start at the beginning with her Carolina Bad Boys and Bad Boys of Retribution MC series before delving into Bad Boys of X-Ops. Though not technically necessary, I promise you (and your SO) will thank me later! - See more at: http://erotic.theromancereviews.com/v...
Just finished Storm and I think it’s my favorite book in the Bad Boys of X-Ops series. That would be more than likely because it has less of a military and more MC feel to it. I like to dabble ever so often in the MC world. Military stories all come across to me too sacrificial, too ‘I’m gonna save the world’ for my liking which is not a turn on in my book. Bikers, on the other hand, have this edgy side to them that can be so sexy attractive. Then the whole dirty, disgusting misogynist side comes out that drops me right back in to reality on why I only wander into MC world on occasion.
I really didn’t think much of Storm in the previous books. His character never really stood out for me. Now he is front and center in his own story. In the beginning, I really wasn’t too impressed with him. He has this whole caveman attitude with Blaize that was driving me batty. He wasn’t alone in the driving me batty department either. Blaize…sheesh! I get it, she’s in charge, the head cheese for these guys and for some crazy reason I kept thinking she was quite a bit older, but still there was something about her that I found obnoxious. Knowing these two were the least favorite of the series for me, I was shocked on how much I liked them in the end. What clinched it for me is when they both bared their deep dark secrets, painful ones, to one another.
On the whole, Storm was a good read. There’s lots of MC characters that are crazy scary that offer a very ‘colorful’ side to the whole story. There were moments I felt everything had strayed into the stereotypical biker story. You know, good guy trying to take the bad guys down from the inside, bad guys die, good guy rides off into the sunset with his woman. Okay, for the most part that did sort of happen. So what was it that made it good? Storm and Blaize. The dialog between them was snappy, hotheaded and flirty. The sexual tension between Blaize and Storm is enough to cut glass with and at times hysterical. Storm certainly loves to get a rise out of her. But in the end, it was my perception of Storm. He went from a X-Ops guy, to a biker to someone that family means a lot to him. Ahhh…big fluffy heart beneath all that bravado.
I’ve been a fan of Ms. Warren’s work for quite a few years now. Her characters have always been stellar for me but this time around, I am struggling to connect with them or their stories. There are moments that do stand out and do help draw me back in to the books but I’m not sure if it’s the whole military side, or how the Ops story isn’t tying in with the Carolina boys other than in passing. I, however, be finishing the series. Bane seems to hold quite a few secrets that have me intrigued. Here’s hoping his story is the one that works for me.

World Building: This novel takes place in Nawleans, Louisiana!! I loved the southern and Cajun feel of New Orleans and it’s just the perfect breeding ground for a country boy!! Characters: The main characters in this story are Storm and Blaize. Storm is about to take on the Blood Legion MC once again but this time he is going to have his boss, the tongue- tanglingly hot, Mizz Cahmichael watching his six. Blaize Carmichael the redheaded firecracker is the hottest woman he has ever seen but she has never given him the time of day. But all of that is about to change since he is the one who is about to be in charge. Can they bring down this dangerous and crazy MC before they get found out? Or will the tables turn on them and prove that they have to work together if they want to make it out alive? Plot: This novel was primarily bringing down a ruthless and drug filled MC. Storm and Blaize’s relationship happened so fast, I felt that instead of this novel focusing on romance it focused on the action and family relationships. I really felt like this story had a lot more OhMyGawd moments than the other novels in this series and I thoroughly enjoyed it!! Writing: This story was told in first person point of view of Storm. This is the third novel in the Bad Boys of X-Ops series that could be read as a standalone but to get the full effect of these characters I would recommend reading the whole series! Curb Appeal: I liked this cover! Although I also thought it was a little plain compared to Storm’s personality and background. The blurb definitely gets the feeling of dread pumping through the reader’s veins! This was a pretty intense story and the blurb only hit the tip of the iceberg! Ultimately: This was a awesome story in the Bad Boys of X-Ops series!! I’m hoping in Bane’s book we figure out why there is beef between Storm and Bane and we find out more about the mysteriously badass Kiki aka Baby Spy!! All in all, if you are ready for an action packed story with some pretty crazy jaw dropping moments then come check out Storm!!!
We open up the latest story with Bane driving in London and walker in the back seat. Justice is up front with Bane. Where are they going and why is Bane trying to kill them with his driving? I was thinking they were on the run from something and my body was tense as I read through the first bit of the book, until they got to their destination and I realized what was happening. I had to laugh at that point. Once the event is over, we find ourselves on a plane, heading back to an undisclosed location in the US with Blaize, boss lady, and Storm. Where do they head to and why are they there? What happens when Storm sees Blaize 'NOT' in a power suit? I thought he was going to drop dead right there. I think my favorite line, that I have not seen in any other MC book I have read, but I had to laugh when I did read it because somewhere it seems familiar to me was this bit of the story. "She mounted the beefy chopper. I gripped the ape hangers." I actually pictured an ape on the motorcycle at that point. Learned some things about Storm that I never would have guessed he had been through before going to T-Zone. There is some major heaviness going on in this book. Wow! Some things make your inner radar go off. Especially finding out who they're dealing with at a swap of weapons for drugs on the docks. Wait until you see who has come to the table to play, again. Things in this book truly get down and dirty when it comes to the MC, and the deals they're making. Who is Slade? And what does Slade try to tell Storm? What happens one morning when Storm heads out after his jumping in the night before for his usual breakfast? What does he find when he gets back to the HQ? You're going to have to read this book to find out. Will it be an HEA or not on this one? Read it!

Rie Warren releases her books close together. Yet, I feel like I have been waiting a lifetime for Storm to be released. ESP since Storm and Blaize have had a hard on for each other since the very beginning of this series. I imagined how this story was going to play out. ESP with how hot these two have been for each other.
Storm got the word for his next OP. Except he's not going with his team Walker, Justice and Bane. Nope. He's going with his Boss-lady Blaize. If that wasn't bad enough there was no back up. And, add that Storm isn't new to where they're going. Storm has a seriously bad feeling going into this.
Blaize chose Storm to go on this mission for a few reasons. They're headed to his hometown of New Orleans. Years ago Storm was undercover in the Blood Legion MC. They're into some pretty serious and dangerous stuff. Storm hated not being able to take them down and protect his family.Storm is going back with Blaize as his Old Lady. Add in the fact that they want each other and it's going to get dirty and dangerous.
Not many woman with the military can get where Blaize is. It's been a very long road for her to get where she is today. A road that still haunts her to this day. She comes off as big, bad and has everything under control. Her control. She has kept a lot inside. Until her feelings for Storm start to get too much.
Storm is known for his flying. He's not afraid of anything. Not even a MC initiation. He will do whatever he needs to do to get the job done. But, when his & Blaize's mission doesn't go as planned, Storm must keep calm. Or they won't survive.
This was legit non-stop action. I finished it too soon. I loved this book. Every time the guys are together I end up busting out laughing. Blaize and Storm are perfect together. I can not wait to get Bane's story. And, I'm praying we learn why him and Storm hate each other.
Book three, guy three in a down and dirty gritty series is just as good as the first two. This team of agents is dark, meaning not even most of the gov know they exist. They are managed by Blaize Carmichael, fiery red head just doesn't say it strongly enough. She dresses in power suits in the office—but Storm is not prepared for her undercover hot-biker-chic look. He's had the speechless, really can't get a word out in front of her—hots---for her since she took over command. She's manged to handle four guys most men wouldn't even attempt to try. But in the MC they want to take down, there is no women's lib. It's a man's world and women are only good for one thing, when and where the men wanted them. Not that Blaize was playing the part that close to reality, much to Storm's worry and pain. He has to seem the boss to the boss and she has a hard time letting him.
This MC is the baddest of the bad and has gone too far. With his history, Storm is the likely agent and she his partner. The language is gritty, often hysterical. It is told first person by Storm, and knowing his thoughts and feelings is an experience. The rest of the team is supportive, they play the worst of dirty tricks but would die for the other or their people. They all find it hysterical he has to go on this mission with the woman he's wanted and she is the boss. Figuring he is either going to have to learn to speak, die, and or be in a chronic horny state.
This is dangerous, sometimes gory, action packed, page turning, dirty talking, and steamy. While you don't need to read the other books, you will enjoy them just as much, and know the other characters when they show up in this book. Enjoy. I sure did and recommend this (but not for the feint of heart) Reviewed for WORDS TURN ME ON.
Man I love Rie Warren!!!!! I’ve read so many of her books and they are always, always fantastic!!! Every single time she hits it out of the ballpark!
If you’re read the other two books in this series you will know that Blaize and Storm have been dancing around each other for a long time. We finally get their story. And boy is it HOT!!! I don’t think anyone can write a sex scene better than her. I literally texted my BFF and told her, “this book is making me all hot and bothered”!!!
Storm and Blaize are totally not what I thought they would be. I thought they would have all sorts of demons and deep brooding and stuff. They are really just scared of love. Scared of relationships. Scared of being vulnerable. Which being deep black ops is pretty standard. It’s not really a “hey lets make a family” type of job.
Thank goodness Storm finds his manhood and pretty much demands that he’s not going to let Blaize get away from him. He’s gonna force her into trying this, him and her, out for real. Blaize just wants to be the job and be serious. SHE is HIS boss after all!!!
Will they work it out? Can they have the job and the relationship?
Taking place in an MC and in New Orleans? Add in that Storm is from there so his sexy southern cajun drawl is so freaking sexy!!! The story, the characters, the romance, the MC, the location, the ending!!!!! It’s all simply freaking amazing!!!!! I can’t say enough good things about this book. There’s only good. I’m trying to think…..is there something I didn’t enjoy? Nope! Not a thing. The writing the passion the pace….fantastic!!!!
