My Healthy Dish: More Than 85 Fresh & Easy Recipes for the Whole Family This book starts out with a dedication and table of contents where recipes are broken up into meals and food categories. Intro material talks about authors history of eating healthy, very colorful pictures, struggles and accomplishments along the way, and one day in their familys life. Informative note about healthy oils with very detailed stats, listing of equipment in author's kitchen. Each recipe section starts with a summary of the chapter and listing of what recipes are included. Each recipe starts with a full size color photo, title and summary of the dish. Ingredients are listed and you should be able to substitute for your healthier dietary needs: low fat, low sugar, low sodium, fresh vs. canned items. Directions are given and there is NO nutritional information. Tips are included along the way. The way the recipes are presented to me would make them perfect for a family get together-too fancy for just a regular day at home. Acknowledgements, index of recipes and conversion tables finish this book.
My Healthy Dish by My Nguyen is a beautiful book filled with dozens of full-page photos that will entice you to cook healthy meals for your family. The layout is clean and easy to follow, as are the recipes. I've tried a few dishes already, and was really pleased with the ease of preparation and the taste of the finished dishes. The recipe categories include Breakfast; Soups, Sides & Sauces; Lunch & Dinner, and Smoothies, Shakes & Desserts, as well as Meal Prepping with Slow Cooker Dinners.
Overall, the book is very appealing - would also make a nice gift. I received this book at no cost through Goodreads Giveaways.
