4.5 maybe 4 But it was overall good SO I WANNA SAY 5. AGHH I HATE RATINGS!

Anyway, I really enjoyed this one despite it being a little predictable at some parts. As the story progressed it got better and better until it was AMAZING. I was like BROOOO. SO COOL. And all I gotta say is THE SHIPS. THE SHIPS ARE SO VERY MUCH ALIVE IN THIS VOLUME AND I LOVED IT.

Can we all agree that Ban and Meliodas arguing over whose girlfriend is better, while beating the crap out of their opponents, is one of the best moments of the entire series? If not best, one of the funniest at least?

In regards to the fighting, this volume didn't let me down. Between King kicking the ever loving crap out of the fairy servant and being an all-around bad-ass, Diane's King-shaped golem defeating the larger golem, and Escanor's fight with Gowthur, this volume had some great and memorable fights.

On the subject of Gowthur, I feel like now's as good a time as ever to talk about his character. Despite Suzuki doing everything in his power to make Gowthur's alliance and backstory as confusing as possible, I actually really like his character. While his motivations and personality are not original at all (a doll lacking emotions wants a "heart" so he can understand them) I love how he will strike a pose while saying something completely deadpan and I love his moral gray stance on everything. Make no mistake, Gowthur has done terrible things, but he isn't doing it out of maliciousness; he just wants a "heart" so he can feel/understand emotions and this is what drives him to act. Granted it doesn't excuse his actions and erasing/manipulating memories, no matter how good your intentions are, is never okay but I think it's great that his actions make perfect sense in regards to his motives. Why did he manipulate Guila's memories? To see if it would bring him closer to understanding emotions. Why did he erase Diane's memories? Because Diane told him that memories, no matter how faint, can come back along with the emotions associated with them, and he wanted to test that. Yes, it's terrible, but it's in keeping with his character and again, wasn't really done out of malice but curiosity. While his deadpan demeanor and actions can be seen as villainous, and I don't blame anyone for thinking that, I like this side of him because I feel it would be realistic for a character like him.

Anyway, those are my thoughts on him as well as my thoughts on the volume as a whole, sorry for the rant.

4/5 Stars (%75/100)

Overall, it was a really good volume, definitely better than the previous one. Diane and King's fight was interesting, I especially like King's new magic. This whole fight festival is a giant training arc for all of our characters so expect all of them to get power-ups. The last two chapters are amazing though. They focus on Escanor and you know he is THE best character in the series. The ending has a huge twist as well. I'm actually curious about the next volume.

The book the Seven Deadly Sins #21 is written by the author Nakaba Suzuki. The main characters in this chapter write now are Elizabeth, Meliodas, Ban, King, Diane and Elaine. I had found this book in the a IMC library of my school at the anime/mangas sections. The setting right now is a mysterious dungeon build by the two of the Ten Commandments , Gloxinia the Repose and Drole the Patience.

The Seven Deadly sins are now trying to confront the Ten commandments in a fighting festival. First they had to go through a maze that was filled with a hole bunch of traps. They passed that round and now have been pitted against eachother in the battle stage. Seperated into teams of two Meliodas and Ban, ELizabeth and Elaine, Diane and King and Hack and Gowther as well as Escanor and Jericho. Both Meliodas and Ban have won there round and so did Elizabeth's team. Gowther and Escanor were battling and Gowther wanted to kill Escanor to gain a heart. My favorite quote in the book is with Escanor " I will give you the suited punishment for toying with people minds."

I really love this book because I watch the actual anime and some similar books are Black clover and Tokyo ghoul. I think the person who would enjoy this book is for one I recommend you to be an anime lover or someone who is looking for an anime to watch with a lot of spiritual and demonic subjects.

The Fighting Festival between The Seven Deadly Sins and The Ten Commandments has finally begun! With The Sins and company divided into groups of two, they have no choice but to work separately as pairs in order to prove victorious in their duels against the other contestants. But when Gowther and Escanor are pitted against each other, will they fall into The Ten Commandments' trap and fight, or will their friendship be strong enough to get them through unscathed?

Ahhh this one is better. Ganda ng storytelling, script, art.

Ahh this rivals Death Note. Hahaha!

---

Jericho: You don't make any sense. You mean you want to win the Festival and gain a heart?!
Gowther: That is correct. I desire a "heart" that will allow me to understand emotion.
Jericho: It's contradictory to kill your friends to gain a heart!

Merlin: Fear is an emotion that arises from ignorance.

Absolutely love the anime so figured I would give the manga a shot, and boy was I half I did. The manga is, in my opinion, far superior to the already outstanding anime. If you like the anime and story of The Seven Deadly Sins, give the manga a go, you won't be sorry.

This volume was more about the fights that occurred during the festival. It was a good novel, although nothing major happened here. Despite that, it was an entertaining read.

It was so cool to see the fan art at the end of the volumes. The fan art was so good, and it showed how far and wide the influence of this manga has travelled - from Taiwan, Italy to Germany!

Vaizel festival continues, epic battles. Although, don't understand why they are using weapons and magic when it's in the rules that they are forbidden to do so.

The bouncing around in timelines was a *bit* confusing.

But 4 matches down so half of them......

I wonder what will happen now that Escanor took out Drole (sp?) and Gloxinia (sp?).......

I remember watching this show on Netflix, I'd been intrigued by the trailer that they'd been constantly showing and decided to give it a try, and while I was a bit iffy at first, I ended up getting completely hooked. Then of course, once the anime ended I had to know what happened next so I started to read the manga...and here we are at Volume 21 already!

I've been so excited for this volume because of the end of last volume, with everyone getting paired up for the fighting festival. Like I've been so ready to see everyone throw down, I knew it was going to be awesome! I wasn't wrong. And it was nice to see Elaine and Elizabeth hold their own when they got dragged in to it!

I'm not going to lie to you guys, Ban and Meliodas are my BROTP. I love the two of them, they crack me up. They had me absolutely cackling in this volume, when they had a little spat during their fight, and they're like, *argues about who's girlfriend is better* and then five minutes later Ban's like "Why's this guy dead? Guess we won. Oh well". I was full on cackling. Only those two would accidentally kill an opponent while arguing between themselves.

We get to catch up with Denzel and co, and Guila who's in a crew with Gustaf (Jericho's brother) and a surprise relative of Elizabeth's which should be...interesting to see play out. I'm looking forward to seeing more of said relative, I was hoping we might get to see more of her after she showed up earlier on, I actually quite liked her and I'm intrigued to see what role she's going to play in the coming events and so on, and get to delve in to her character more!

Camelot has unfortunately fallen to Melioda's brother. Damnit Arthur. You had one job. Just one. I'm looking forward to seeing the gang inevitably take it back, but more importantly...I'm looking forward to seeing more of Arthur. Ever since he popped up I've been exited to see him and what he can do and so on, but I feel like he hasn't really had a chance to shine yet, so I'm hoping that next volume we'll finally get to see him in action, and see how he can contribute.

I have to say, Gowther gets more creepy with each volume. I actually quite liked him when he was first introduced but now he just plain creeps me out. Seriously. Then we get confronted with a new mystery involving him, and I'm like...part of me feels sorry for him..but most of me is just hugely creeped out and kinda wants to hand him over, mystery be damned.

One of the greatest parts of this volume, for me anyway, was finally getting to see some more of Escanor's background! I've been so curious about him, and then we finally get to meet him and he wasn't at all what I was expecting and I've been itching to know more about him and this volume really delivered for that. I'm also warming to Jericho more and more as the volumes go on, I wasn't sure I'd ever actually like her all that much but I'm slowly getting there and it's nice to see how her relationship with Ban has changed, and how they've finally bonded and become a team.

My main problem with this volume? When Escanor goes full badass and you're left hanging until next volume! Hello....you can't just bust that out and then leave it there!? It's just cruel! Although it's safe to say things are stepping up again, there's more going on, there's plenty of action again, we've got sub plots and little mysteries springing up. We're learning more about characters both new and old, and I'm excited to see what's going to happen next. There's certain events I'm looking forward to in particular, as well as seeing how the Commandments get taken down. Because we all know they will get taken down!

The Seven Deadly Sins is continuing to draw me in with the world and the characters, not to mention the action and the plots proceeding at a nice pace with plenty of things thrown in to keep you hooked!
