It's mad that Cylo with all his abominations. The rebels with all their weapons and Luke and Han Solo. The entire Sho-torun war. None of them even came close to putting Vader in danger like the detective did from the moment he appeared in these pages. He is the only one that can find out his traitoury and hand him to the Emperor who is more powerful than Vader.
Majority of the satisfaction I got reading this issue is that the Shu-Torun war arc has finally ended. Queen Trios is better than I have expected, and her personality has developed since she was introduced during the Annual issue.
Humor, which was sorely lacking in this arc were injected in the pages, but none seem to be effective. We need Aphra's charming personality!
The Darth Vader series will end in issue 25. Hopefully this last arc would be good.
The duel between Vader, Aiolin, and Morit felt very anticlimactic. I like Morit betraying his sister and Vader burning Morit before interrogating him, but it felt rush. I feel like this arc has suffered from being only four issues long. Meanwhile, Triple Zero's routine has become old hat and it's annoying that he states the obvious. It was coolseeing Trios get Rubix killed and making his daughter Bixine the ore-baroness instead of her brother since she's younger and easier to manipulate, but I feel like I didn't get enough of Trios. The hook at the end does make me curious though. The Emperor says that he will tell Vader everything, and Thanoth says that Aphra has been found, but we don't know if she's dead or alive since Rebel Jail is covering her story. I wonder what Thanoth knows and I now worry that the next arc, End of Games, will spoil Rebel Jail.

The conclusion of this arc was enjoyable and I'm looking forward to the next one. I thought the writer did a good job developing Queen Trios and she was an excellent character towards the end. The downside is that the previous issue led us to believe there would be an epic showdown with Darth Vader and that sequence was extremely anticlimactic and disappointing. Triple-Zero also needs to be written out of this series as he detracts from every single issue.
While fighting off the genetically enhanced siblings, Aiolin and Morit, Vader finally obtains the proof that Cylo is a traitor. Now, Vader is able to aid Queen Trios in her final battle to end the rebellion on Shu-Torun.
Betrayals and backstabbing circle within more betrayals! Vader still seems to be one step ahead of everyone as he is able to bring Shu-Torun back under Imperial control. Most notably, young Queen Trios seems to have learned a few things from Vader during their time together and is seizing power in dramatic fashion! It’s almost sad to see her lose the innocence that she started with, but it also seems it may make her a more effective ruler.
I enjoyed this arc. We haven’t often gotten to see exactly how the Empire manipulates and coerces the systems that are under its control. In the films and other media, we often see direct military takeovers and assaults. While there is some of that in this story, it’s not as central as individual coercion and threats. Vader installs Trios as the Queen through some small, but atrocious actions. By then aiding her in quelling the rebelling Ore Barons, he propagates that through her later actions. I’m sure there are many real-world examples of this sort of thing, but it’s compelling to see it here.
Good story arc, and looking forward to Aphra’s return to this book!
¿Fin de la trama de los clones? Desde luego ahora todo se pone más interesante. Y llegamos al final de La guerra de Shu-Torun contra los barones del mineral. Una gozada de número, puro disfrute.
I loved this, though I was a little confused in one spot. They did avoid showing something potentially gruesome here, unlike in the movies. It makes me wonder how Vader can keep fighting in areas with fire and lava.
