Used this as preparation of a trip to Normandy in 2003 and found it quite useful. It works well as both a source book for the background and logistics of D-Day and as a practical touring guide. I hadn't realized (though I suppose I should have) just how complex touring the Normandy D-Day areas can be.

I'm planning a trip to Normandy and this book was very valuable in pointing out places to visit.
