An interesting book, but one that is amazingly Eurocentric. The Pacific gets short shrift. For the Pacific, it goes something like this...Pearl Harbor, Midway, Invasion of the Philippines/Battle of Leyte Gulf, and Surrender.

Such a lopsided view of what the most important moments of the war make it hard to recommend this book even as a starter, but what it does include is thought-provoking and would be good at a beginner level to get things off to a start for the War in Europe if not much else.

It was a very interesting book about World War 2 facts and info

I chose this rating because if children in a school were learning about world war 2 then it would tell them a lot about it. It is also a book that will remember many, many people, ( especially on Remembrance Day)!

I received a review copy of this audiobook.

I am not sufficiently familiar with WWII to say for sure whether these 50 events are really the key events to understand the period, but it seems to do a good job. I think I would prefer a text copy I could flip through over an audio version.

Not baf

Not much to this sparse collection of noticeable events. Pretty consisted effort but could do with more historic occasions. Amateurish.

For the layman

A decent book to introduce readers to history, but it needs better editing. Quite a few grammatical mistakes. Needs work.

There have probably been 10s of 1000s of books written about WW2 that delve deeply into every event and decision.

This is a great, quick, 10000 ft view that spells out 50 major events in chronological order.

Great book to get an overview.

I adore every book in this series I have read.

Nice Historical Review

50 quick facts from WWII. This covered a lot of details that I had forgotten and introduced a few interesting bits of new info as well.
