Franklin, eager to meet his baby sister, tries to make spring come more quickly, yet nature can't be rushed and so Franklin realizes that he just has to learn to be patient.

Franklin can’t wait for Spring, not only because Spring is his favorite season but because he is expecting a new baby sister. The waiting is painfully slow, but Spring shows up and so does his sister and he is very excited. This is a very sweet story.
The nephew does enjoy Franklin, but he thought this story was a little boring. He did think having a little brother to play with would be fun, but he wouldn’t want a baby sister. He loved the snow turtle that Franklin made. He thought that was so cool. He says it low and smooth, ‘that’s soo coool’. He thought this story was ok and he gave it 3 stars.
Тази книжка първо ми я прочете мама, още когато моята сестричка беше в корема и. Сега я прочетох сама - много е хубава. Трябва да се чете от всички деца, които ще стават кака или батко.
Franklin is about to be a big brother! He's so excited and can't wait. But waiting is what you have to do before a baby arrives.
Franklin's baby sister is due in Spring. And Spring can't get to Franklin fast enough.
A super cute book for any little one about to be a big brother or sister.
My only complainy was that we never saw a turtle egg. I was really hoping that they had a nursery outside where they buried an egg. I think it would have been cute if the baby hatched and they watched her crawl out of the dirt just like a real turtle ;)
Still... super cute and full of squee-rific pictures. I super loved the snow turtles that Franklin built :)
I really like the illustrations in this story in which Franklin is awaiting the arrival of his baby sister. He is told that he must wait for spring. When spring finally arrives, his sister is born. When he gets to go to the hospital with his Grandma to see the new baby, Franklin names his baby sister Harriet. It is a cute story.

This franklin book could be used for multiple purposes in the classroom. I would read this book to my class to help teach them about seasons and plants growing. This book does a good job explaing the process of how spring comes and what happens in spring.
SO cute! it's a great book for any parent with a small child who is expecting or who has just had a new child. This will help see the newcomer from the older child's point of view, & help them work through their feelings of jealousy.
Franklin has been waiting all winter for his baby sister to be born. The problem is, she won't be born until spring >.< Spring is taking so long!! Can Franklin hold up until the plants start to return? A simply delightful story for older siblings and younger siblings alike =)
Franklin the turtle is adorable, no way around it! I like these books because they actually deal with "issues" in a very simple way for small kids to understand. Go Franklin!
This one annoys me just because at Franklin's mother goes to the hospital to have a baby. She's a turtle. She would lay an egg. I do like how it prepares older siblings for the arrival of a new baby.
In this book Franklin gets a baby sister named Harriet. He does not want to wait for spring to come though. My favorite part is when Franklin gets his baby sister Harriet

Perfect for my 3 year old to understand and grasp. She is also having a baby sister, who will also be born in the spring time. Couldn't have planned it better myself. This book deals with the frustration of waiting for a baby to come along with the excitement and change that occurs. It's a nice book on the subject with extra points for humor. Maybe we should be reading more Franklin books?
Spring is just around the corner and Franklin can’t wait. This year spring is bringing more than new plants, warm sunshine, and returning birds. Franklin’s baby sibling is going to arrive in the spring as well! This brightly-coloured picture book is a great introduction to both springtime and the concept of a new baby joining the family.
